12 Environmental Assessment Process Project is covered under the Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA). This process ensures that the intent of the EA Act is being met by requiring that alternatives be assessed, environmental concerns be identified, mitigation measures be considered and consultation with the public and external agencies be completed. This project is classified as a Group B projects under the Class EA for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000) with opportunity for public input throughout. Two Public Involvement Centers are planned for this project. Public Involvement Centre No. 1 was held late in 2005.
13 Class EA Process Upon completion of the Detail Design, a Transportation Environmental Study Report (TESR) will be prepared and made available for public review and comments. A notice identifying viewing location(s) will be published at that time There is an opportunity at any time during the Environmental Assessment process for interested persons to provide comments and review outstanding issues.
