1 Eisenhower Athletic Booster Club A meeting of the Eisenhower Athletic Booster Club Membership was held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 7:00 PM, at Eisenhower High School, Shelby Township, MI. President Report- Mitch Rastigue Introductions Motion to approve the meeting minutes from the October 8, 2018 general membership meeting was made with a second. Vote taken; all in favor. Minutes pass. Announcements: 1. Jennifer Hamilton, Vice President s resignation from the Board as of today, November 12, An official communication to membership will be sent out that we are taking volunteers/nominations for the open VP position. All applicants/nominees should respond to the and the Board will vote in favor of a new Vice President to fill the remaining term from December 2018 to May of Night at the Races New Fundraiser was very successful and can be very profitable with good attendance. Treasurer Report-Brian Smith See attached Summary of the Night at the Races event financials, Treasurer Report and Check Registers as of October Brian read what was deposited and disbursed from the Booster Club accounts and membership could reference the report on the large screen and are attached here. E. Membership Report- Susan Milosavljevic The Booster Club has a total of membership of 216 families or 28% of potential members vs. 37% membership in November of The sports with the highest percentage of membership are Cheer- 63%, Football-57%, and Boys Basketball-47%, see attached spreadsheet. Roster was passed to membership to confirm membership and volunteerism. Thank you to the following members for volunteering to work the Night at the Races event, in which they have earned 1 volunteer credit: 1. Steve and Cindy Nadolski 2. Craig and Cathy West 3. 3 Equestrian Team - Holly Westgate - No announcements at this time. Girls Basketball - Mike Satawa 1. Callahan Hall on 1pm vs. Regina 2. Little Ceasars Arena on 2 pm Committee Reports A. Concessions-Lisa Kennelly Winter Sports Opportunities have started, and help is always needed: 1. Boys Basketball 2. Girls Basketball B. 50/50 Raffle- Valutis Family Nothing to report at this time. C. The Eisenhower Athletic Booster Club Night at the Races Fundraiser-Cindy Nadolski and Cathy West Not Present. Board spoke to the following items. Lessons learned: 1. New venue, closer to home 2. Better food 3. Change date to the Spring 4. Tracking ticket sales system needs to improve D. Poker Charity Events-new Chairperson, Vesna Matovski Poker Charity Events: We work with 2 facilities One Eyed Jacks and Ciccarelli s through River Poker who gives us 4 dates per year. Staff is needed at these events at all times; each shift is hours, with 3 people at each shift, 6 members per day. Must be a paid member of the Booster Club to volunteer because this is a Booster event, not the teams. Coaches can volunteer if they are a Booster Member. A Poker Charity Team Rotation schedule has been created to make sure these events are given to teams equitably over the school years. These events generate a lot of money and they are easy to run, great fundraising opportunity! 1. January 31st to February 3, 2019 Boys/Girls Swim 2. March of August-TBD? 4. Tentative Only E. Eisenhower Athletic Booster Scholarship program- Leslie Valutis Not Present. 3

4 College Scholarship: The recipients will receive a check for $500 paid to the institution of their choice and will be acknowledged during Seniors honors night. Requirements were disclosed. Underclassmen Scholarship: Free pay to play worth $165. Due at April General Membership meeting, winners announced at May General Membership meeting. AD and Administration Reports A. Ken Marnon-Vice Principal Not present. B. John Bertich-Athletic Director Notable Items and Accomplishments see Hockey started this past week. Basketball, Wrestling, Bowling and have try-outs this week. Boys swim will start next week. Winter Sports meeting in the PAC Thursday, November 15 th at 6 pm. C. AD/Coaches Requests Old Business Boys Varsity Lacrosse-Andrew Ferrari Request for Helmets for Spring season $186/helmet, total of $6,500 for 35 Varsity Only. The quality of these helmets may have more longevity, would like to see this being a request only every 6 years. Since, first proposal, coach was able to re-work the request down to $3,500, submitted a new request to John Bertich. Athletic Department Request John Bertich - Digital Scorer s Table with Digital advertising component, for use with multiple sports. District providing $5,000 per school and $3,200 requested from the Boosters. Boys Basketball Coach Thomas Antishin, John Bertich presented - Renewal of Krossover instead of HUDL. Boosters needs to research if we are eligible for a package discount since 2 teams are no longer using the HUDL. Athletic Department - John Bertich Request to clean up the Baseball and Football fields. Athletic Department - John Bertich All State Plaques. Approved based on By-Laws.
