5 Page 5 Senior Spotlight: Felix Reynoso Boys Basketball Honors 1st Team All District- Justin Gurrerro 2nd Team All District- Today we are going to take an inside look at the life of Felix Reynoso AKA Big Phil. She was born in San Luis, Mexico, on November 20, She really wishes she was born on November 18th (her favorite date). Felix has attended Meridian ISD all her life, here is where she learned to speak English without an accent. Even though she has trouble pronouncing easy words like "sandwich," we like to make her think she s doing well. Her parents are Pedro and Clara Reynoso. She has two brothers, Anselmo and Jaime, and a younger sister named Selina. While in high school, she has participated in Cross Country and Track (for two years). She has also participated in Academic UIL, is a PHP member, and is the National Honor Society Secretary. After graduating Felix plans to attend Tarleton State University to study nursing and become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She will room with Tiffany Allen and Kasie Olivarri. Felix currently works at Brookshire s as a cashier, where she was voted "most likely to stay and become a manager with 10 kids." Her hobbies include chillin with her homes, jamming out to music, and eating. She has a huge unhealthy obsession with Chris Brown and her new found love, Justin Bieber, with his new grown voice. To sum this all up Felix is a great person and you should consider yourself lucky, if you can call her your friend; I know I do. GET OUT ME MIND! TENNIS This year the tennis team led by head coach, Coach Kay, experienced another great year. At the district meet, all members competed extremely hard. Singles competitors Trinton Jones, Tyler Etheridge and Ale Williams came up just short in the medal sweepstakes. For the second year in a row mixed doubles team Billy Miller and Felix Reynoso and singles player Ren Rieke clenched third place finishes. It was a fun year and Coach Kay is excited about the talent coming up in the years to come.
