Costumes are not required but they certainly are encouraged! Who's going to win a prize this year?! Last year's costumes were fantastic ~ what will you be this Halloween?! We will NOT have a pre-dance lesson this month and our dance is 8-11 pm with DJ Lisa Morales (our Swing Swap Hostess). SWING SWAP (Thursdays) CSDS is hosting another West Coast Swing Beginner Intensive with local instructor and All Star level competitor Alyssa Lundgren Gillespie, on Saturday October 11th from 1-5 pm at the Municipal Arts Center (MAC). After just one afternoon, you'll walk away knowing how to dance West Coast Swing, the hottest dance on the planet! Later that night, return to the MAC for Stacy's Jam dance and/or attend Kristin's WCS Practica at The Dance Spot on Sunday evening, to practice your new moves! Earlybird pricing through thru Oct. 1st is $25 per person or $45 per leader/follower combo; on Oct. 2nd, prices go up to $30 per person or $60 combo. Sign up online today! (Photo by Dan Sweet) C'ville Dancers at Swing Trilogy Charlottesville and Central VA dancers had a blast last month at Raleigh NC's first West Coast Swing weekend dance event, Swing Trilogy! Twenty+ dancers from the area attended this small event which is sure to grow in the years to come. Our local dancers fared well in competition, you can see the results here.
