She has a wealth of experience and is looking forward to working with all of you. Please remember that it is a non-pupil day on Monday 22 nd February. Children should be back in school at 8.40 on Tuesday 23 rd February. CELEBRATION ASSEMBLY A Bronze Certificate for gaining 5 WOWs was awarded to: Henry Walsh A Silver Certificate for gaining 10 WOWs was awarded to: Abbott Ashby, Tyler Marchant-Winch & Olivia Richardson A Gold Certificate for gaining 20 WOWs was awarded to: Charlie Hoskin, Sophia Lee, Erin Taylor & Milo Thorogood The Headteacher s cup was awarded to: Lacey-May O Flynn Class 1, Holly Stallard Class 2, Aayush Pitrola Class 3 & Skye Littlejohn Class 4 Well done to all these children! If your child wins the Headteacher s cup, please return it to the office before the next Celebration Assembly. Parking Can all parents/carers please be aware that there is NO PARKING on the zig-zag lines outside the school. Please be considerate to pedestrians when parking. This is for the safety of all of our children. KS3 Ready Club This will now take place during the school day. Sickness If your child has sickness or diarrhoea, they must be kept away from school for at least 48 hours after the last episode.

Music Lessons We have a few spaces left for individual music lessons.

If there is enough interest, we have a teacher who can offer singing and trumpet lessons, and another teacher offering saxophone and clarinet lessons.

2 Music Lessons We have a few spaces left for individual music lessons. We are very lucky to have talented, specialist teachers offering lessons on piano, drum kit, electric or acoustic guitar, ukulele and violin. Learning an instrument can foster new skills, including mathematical ability, reading and comprehension, memory, organisation, team work, perseverance, coordination, self-expression and listening skills. It also gives children a sense of achievement, increases concentration and most importantly, it s fun! If you are interested, please let the school office know. Your child could start straight after half term. Here is a link that provides further information: Table Tennis Year 4 children had a fabulous time at Plume School, taking part in the Table Tennis festival. They learned new skills, aimed to improve hand-eye co-ordination and accuracy. They had relay races, target shooting, knocking the cups over game and scoring points by getting the ball inside an up-turned cone. Brilliant! There were so many activities and games. Aayush. Every child will receive a book token for 1 to use to purchase a book. We would love all our fabulous children to dress up on this day, they can be any character from their favourite book

4 Admission: 3.50 PTA FILM NIGHT NEWSFLASH!!!! The tickets for the film night on 17 th March 2016 are now available to purchase from school reception at 3.50 The PTA are showing Inside Out for Key Stage 1 in one room and Big Hero 6 for Key Stage 2 in another at the same time. The films are age appropriate and fantastic fun!!! The price includes popcorn, savouries, drinks and nibbles, so get in quick and purchase your tickets NOW!!!!!!! Lights, Camera, Action! Woodham Walter PTA Presents. Film Night! Thursday 17 th March 3:30 pm Please present your ticket at the door. We hope you enjoy the film! Popcorn, snacks and drink provided! ADMIT ONE 100 CLUB We have decided to start running a new 100 Club instead of the bonus ball. This will consist of 100 numbers available to purchase at 1.00 a number in return for the possibility of winning prizes of 25 for the winning number, 15 for second prize and 10 for third. The numbers will be drawn on the last day of each month and randomly generated by a special device and verified independently.. The other half of the money will go into the PTA fund. Those of you that had ongoing repeat numbers on the original bonus ball, that you ve already paid for, will be transposed onto the new system. Emma Chapman has very kindly agreed to assist with the sale of the numbers so don t be surprised if a tall blonde starts demanding cash from you!!!! Orest School Forest School After Half Term Class 1 will be doing Forest School in the morning and Class 2 will be doing Forest School in the afternoon.

Football Tournament We are very proud of our fantastic football team. Many thanks to Mr Inwood for the lunchtime coaching sessions. We worked well as a team and tried our hardest. Fredrik, Lewis, Harry and Josh played well, up front with Flynn and William playing brilliantly in defence. Kutay and I made lots of saves.
