3 Candidate Self-Nominating Process for New Club s Elected Board Dear TwinEagles Member: In accordance with The Ronto Group s decision to establish an Advisory Transition Board (ATB) to represent the membership to work with the developer to ensure that Turnover to a member owned club is a smooth process, the ATB and Ronto have agreed to a self-nomination process to identify full golf, sport and social members who are interested in volunteering to run for election to the Board of Directors (BODs) to govern the club after Turnover. Nine (9) BODs will be elected 30 days prior to the Turnover Trigger Date which is projected to be fall 2018 with Turnover occurring 60 to 90 days after the Trigger Date. Please note that the Club s Turnover is independent and managed separately of the Home Owner s Association Turnover. The initial BODs will be the foundation for our Club to move forward. It is paramount that members interested in serving on the BODs are members in good standing with the Club, willing to represent the entire membership, actively participate in governing the Club and commit to the time required to ensure that TwinEagles is a premier country club community in Southwest Florida. Board members can be the difference between a club s success or failure. Full Golf, Sports and Social members who are interested in serving on the BODs, please review the Principal Responsibilities of the Initial Board of Directors, which can be found in the regarding this topic, that was sent to members last week. If you believe that you have the experience, proven ability, skills and time, atb@twineagles.com to have the Board of Directors Candidate form ed to you in a Word document. Please your Board of Directors Candidate form and accompanying headshot by March 6, 2018, no later than 3:00 pm. atb@twineagles.com. Candidates please type your BODs Candidate information on the form. Information forms should be saved as a Word document with the file name being the Candidate s Name and Resume. Example: John Doe Resume. Head shots should be sent as a separate attachment and file name, Candidate Name and Photo. Example, John Doe Photo. All Board of Directors Candidate Information forms will be ed to the membership and available on the Club s website on March 14, A Candidate Meet and Greet will be held on March 22, 2018 at 4pm. This will be an opportunity for the candidates to discuss their qualifications to serve on the BODs and answer member s questions. Additional details of the Candidate Meet and Greet will be provided. A video of the Meet and Greet will also be ed to the membership and posted on the club s website for those members who are unable to attend. For members who either become members after March 6, 2018, or current members who are undecided as of this time as to whether they want to run for the BODs, they will be able to submit a Board of Directors Candidate form up to 60 days before the actual election date of the BODs. The actual election date of the BODs is not known at this time but is estimated to be in the fall of If you have questions regarding the self-nomination or election process, please contact Ian Coleman or Kacie Shields at the Club. Thank you, The TwinEagles Advisory Transition Board

5 Charity Event Thank You! Dear Twin Eagles Friends and Neighbors, We had a very successful 2018 charity season, culminating in the Festival Night and Golf Tournament this past weekend. I am thrilled to report that the Twin Eagles 2018 Charity raised $60, for the Humane Society Naples and the Naples Cat Alliance. This would not have been possible without my amazing committee who worked tirelessly to make the events successful. I would like to publicly thank Kathy Arikian, Peggy Gilbertsen, Elaine Gilman, Michele Holden, Maureen Levin, Susan Loop, Diane Mallory, Mary Mower, Thelma Patrissi, Sharie Silvertsen, Suzanne Squier, Amal Williams, Susan Zarzour, and Eleanor Ziegler. I would also like to recognize Shannon McCutcheon, who performed expertly as our auctioneer on Saturday evening, and Syd Gilman, who brought the artist Michael Monroe to entertain us at Festival Night. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Maureen Levin, who designed every raffle ticket, poster, and flyer associated with the charity, and who stepped up cheerfully anytime I had a request. I would also like to thank the neighborhood captains who collected funds and provided wonderful items for the Silent Auction: Kathy Manzella, Pat Perry, Thelma Patrissi, Pati Lombardi, Jamie Gray, Mary Mower, Eileen Hanafin, Elaine Gilman, Annette Canitano, Shannon McCutcheon, Wendy Pilkey, Donna Pontillo, Donna Carter, Sue Riney, Amal Willliams, and Eleanor Zeigler. Special thanks go to Barb Smith who organized the Diamond Debutantes contributions, and provided the auction with a fabulous wine tub and liquor basket and to Michele Holden who spent countless hours making gorgeous baskets for the Silent Auction. I would be remiss if I didn t mention Rita Fishtorn, Kacie Shields, Alexis Howe, Kevin Komphonphakdy, Pat Hoag, Ian Coleman, Don Vandermillen, Melissa Dziabo and all the other staff members at Twin Eagles. We are so lucky to have you as members of the Twin Eagles family, and I thank you for all that you did to make my job easier and much more enjoyable! Finally, thanks to everyone in Twin Eagles who bought a raffle ticket, attended Game Night, Festival Night or the Golf Tournament, contributed to the neighborhood collections, or purchased a sign for the golf course or a mention in the program. Each and every one of you helped save the life of a homeless companion animal in Collier County. Saving one animal won t change the world, but it changes the world for that one animal. Maria Napier Chairperson, Twin Eagles 2018 Charity If you attended the Charity Festival Night and purchased Drop in the Bucket tickets, but did not stay for the drawing, there are three prizes that have not been claimed with these ticket numbers: , , Contact Diane Mallory

17 TwinEagles Book Club We had a fun February book club meeting where everyone got very passionate about Fredrik Backman's Beartown. The novel is about a small dying town in Sweden whose only hope of survival is to become the home of the winning junior hockey team. What follows however is an incident that divides the town and the team. The novel is about hockey (or any sport/activity that involves an entire community), but it is also about small towns, class differences, parenting styles, frendships, and very contemporary social problems. The characters are unique and beg to be understood. Backman is a master at introducing words/phrases which cause his readers to make assumptions--and then later learn that the words had a different meaning. When members are still discussing the book after they leave the meeting, when they have comments/questions that require them to re-address the book, when the themes touch them very deeply--it's a worthwhile read, and we all agreed on that! We will read Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng for Tuesday, March 20, and meet in the ladies locker room lounge at 4pm. If you are interested in joining our discussions and receiving our group s, please contact Sharon Barry (sseb327@comcast.net) Bible Study Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. in the Twin Eagles Clubhouse (Open Dining Room or Conference Room) For additional information contact: Thelma Johnson at or thelmajohnson38@hotmail.com. Please bring your Bible, a pen and note pad. We sincerely welcome returning members and new members. Both men and women are welcome. February 27 March 7, 28 April 3, 10, 17, 24 May 5 Hand Arts Group If you enjoy hand arts of any kind, ie: knitting, crochet, quilting, basket weaving, card making, etc. and enjoy the friendship of other crafters, please bring your project & supplies and join us. We meet Thursdays from 1:00-4:00 in the Ladies Locker Room. Questions, please contact Sue Jeffries (C) (E) suejeffries7@sbcglobal.net Men s Poker To sign up for or to inquire about the TE Poker Group, please contact: Jules Ghedina JGhedina@yahoo.com; or phone (239) Poker events are usually held twice a month, on Wednesdays, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. So come out for a good time and socialize with some of your members and neighbors Pub style food such as: Pizza, Wings, tenders, Mini Meatball subs, sandwiches wraps, etc will be served each week on a rotating basis.
