1 Gentlemen of the BTC, February 7, 2019 The Super Bowl was not so super after all. A pretty boring game unless your numbers came up. The Patriot dynasty continues. Thanks Tom Brady and the bunch! It sure looked warm and inviting watching golf in Arizona this past weekend. The 16th hole is like nothing else on the PGA tour. The fans can be brutal to the players when they miss a shot. On some days, it reminds me like golfing with the BTC! LOL! Well, the snow has melted here for a bit so get outside and practice your swing. The courts were on fire Tuesday. Rob Rollins could not miss a shot. Shots were flying all over the place, including one to Wayne Genck s backside. John Schiera should have been in his place, but decided not to play. Good choice Johnny and no welt, sorry Wayne. I keep saying this is a dangerous sport. To all the tennis guys in Florida, you missed an Italian feast provided by Charlie Dinolfo. Then, some decadent desserts provided by Al Baldermann. I had no idea how good these guys can cook! It may be time for the bowlers to think about coming over to the tennis side! I guess it pays to be good. Jason Wojnar, one of our recent applicants, bowled a 300 during his 1st game on Tuesday. A 300 game in bowling is great for anyone, but for Jason it was his 83rd perfect game! Unbelievable! Congrats on the (ho hum) accomplishment. Just a reminder, this weekend is the Chicago Southland Golf Merchandise Show at Ravisloe C.C. for anyone interested. Flyer is attached later in the newsletter. Fraternally, Your Secretary Kevin Bewley ATTENTION! ATTENTION! ATTENTION! Anyone with ads should a copy of the ad they want in the Roster Book. If they have artwork it would be great. And anyone that wants changes, that donor should them also. We don t have their old ads since we are trying to start from scratch. I could copy what they have in the old roster book but new copies would be far better. to larrygaretto@beggarspizza.com and AmandaGaretto@beggarspizza.com. We would like these ASAP. Don t forget if you have questions, you can questions to me. This is the easiest way to handle this.
2 Thanks Larry Garetto TENNIS NEWS Al Baldermann 12 players. We mixed up the groups. Different pairings results in unusual results. Chuck DiNolfo provided great Italian food for us after tennis. Merri Baldermann provided great desserts. Results: Court 1 Rollins 14/22 Lilliwitz 14/22 Ganz 12/22 Bewley 4/22 Court 2 Schiera 18/22 Abramowicz 9/22 Genck 9/22 DiNolfo 8/22 Court 3 Schaefer 16/28 Baldermann 14/28 Schroeder 14/28 Anderson 12/28 BOWLING NEWS Scores were down a bit this week. But not for Jason Wojnar who shot his first 300 game in the BTC and 83rd overall. He had the high series with 731. The only other 700 plus was a 713 by Craig O'Reilly. Keith Tadevich just missed with a 699. Next week is the start of the Brocius doubles. For the new members to the BTC, this is how it works. There is no average limit and no limit on the numbers of partners you can have. The cost is $10 per man, $20 per team. The winners are determined by the total score plus handicap for the two men for the two weeks. We usually pay four places. I will be there early to collect entries. The regular Calcutta will be on March 19th.
