I can tell you with full confidence that this is the strongest and most talented staff we have ever had working in our Clubhouse! We can only continue to offer these opportunities with your support and involvement. Your club had a solid 2018, but there are still memberships available right now. You should have received a letter in November that has three complimentary guest passes that expire at the end March. Please think about using these for individuals you would like to have here at the club with you. You are our best source of recruiting. Let us know if we can provide assistance with recruiting a friend, family member or acquaintance. A solid and active membership base will assure that we can keep our fees affordable and continue to work on making the club better for you each and every year! Finally, thank you! When reserving your starting time, please be aware of how frost can affect your time. First, the opening of the courses may be delayed if there is coverage of frost or if the greens are frozen. Secondly, if the courses are delayed in opening, then starting times scheduled prior to actual opening time will be lost. We will make every attempt to accommodate players that have lost their times in this manner. We may start some groups on the back if available or work in groups as space allows. 5 Tip from the Pro Brock Shafer Director of Instruction The V1 Pro video system in our teaching bay at the back of the pro shop building is ideal for inclement weather training. Our system has been recently updated with professionals from both the European and U.S. Ryder cup teams. You can be placed side by side with players such as Tommy Fleetwood, Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose, Jon Rahm, and Francisco Molinari on European side or Tiger Woods, Brooks Keopka, Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, or Jordan Spieth on the American side. Learn how the pro s go about building a proper setup, takeaway, or delivery of the club head and improve your technique skills over the winter season. More than anything, it is fun to take video lessons! Both Luke and I have an extensive background at Golf-TEC, the leader in indoor golf training. Come on out and use our skills and equipment to improve your game. Tech Packs are on sale now for $375 which includes five total lessons. Two are video lessons which include online saves where you can review the key points of the lesson in full video, sound, and tour comparisons. The pack also includes two K-Vest lessons. Motion analysis is a key component to GolfTEC s success, and we have it with K-Vest. The K-Vest allows us to measure you hip and shoulder angles throughout the swing. Are you setting up square to the target? Are you making a full shoulder turn at the top? How powerful is your hip rotation number at impact? All of this information is insightful, useful, and fun. Improve your numbers over the winter! The fifth and final lesson is a T.O.M.I. electronic putting analysis. The T.O.M.I. system uses motion analysis as well, only it tells us exactly what the putter is doing throughout the stroke. Are you setting up to target? Does the putter return squarely? Do you arc your pathway? How consistent are you at repeating a stroke? This information is very helpful and allows us to find the area of need in your putting stroke. These five lessons can all be taken indoors! The Tech Pack is a great gift as well! It is a very unique lesson experience that you have to try! Besides, if the lessons cannot be completed in the winter, there is no expiration to the package and can be taken year round. Lessons can also be substituted for outdoor training as well. TOP CLUB-FITTING FACILITY Luke Reilly, PGA Assistant Golf Professional Windyke has consistently been recognized as a top club-fitting facility in the country. Every year, we continue to earn recognition and awards by dedicating ourselves to knowing our product and through continuous education. I just returned from the Callaway Certified Master Fitter Training. I spent 3 days with the Callaway Fitting Team, to enhance my knowledge of golf physics, club head design, launch monitor protocol, and club fitting protocol. Through the extensive training, I received my Callaway Fitting certification. The end of the golf season is one of the best times to be fit since you having been playing the most.
