H5 The Langaller Farm Brood Mare Premium Awards This takes the form of a voucher worth 50 awarded to the highest placed brood mare in class 1 and is redeemable against any stud fee for a stallion standing at Langaller Farm during the current or following season. Only one award per mare per season. Where the winning mare has already won a voucher in the current year the award goes to the next highest placed mare. H6 Master Memorial Cup kindly presented by Mr and Mrs J Wilton, Padstow (outright winner 1988) for the Best Foal in class 2.

H12 Rosette to the Reserve Champion in classes H13 A Perpetual Cup kindly presented by Mr and Mrs Bevil Bunt for the best hunter in class 10 owned by a local exhibitor. RIDING PONIES Note: Classes are open to Non-Members and Members of the BSPS. This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society (BSPS No 138/14) and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in BSPS classes, whether or not members of the BSPS, are subject to the Constitution and Rules of the BSPS including the disciplinary procedures and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS. This Show is a qualifier for the 2014 BSPS Championships Show to be held at Arena UK: the 1st to 4th prize winners in class 16 and the 1st & 2nd prize winners in classes will qualify, provided the animal is registered in accordance with Rules 23 and 28 and ridden by a BSPS member. This Show is a qualifier for the BSPS Classic Security UK Ltd Challenge. The highest placed pony in classes 16 to 23 that has not qualified for the BSPS 2014 Horse of the Year Show in the appropriate class will qualify. If the highest placed pony has already qualified for the BSPS Challenge, the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony. This Show is a qualifier for the 2014 BSPS Premier League. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th prize winners in classes will qualify This Show is a qualifier for the BSPS Black Country Saddles Best Rider of the Year. The Best Rider in classes 16 to 23 will receive a Card and qualify for the final of the BSPS Summer Championships show. All Ponies to be Mares or Geldings and to be 4 years or over

RETRAINING OF RACEHORSES Judge: Mrs R Jordon, Chagford, Devon The Tattersalls, RoR Thoroughbred Show Series The Tattersalls, RoR Thoroughbred Ridden Show Horse Class. Thoroughbred mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, any height. Riders must be 15 years or over on 1st January Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, Pelham or simple double bridle. Horses should be plaited. The first three go forward to the Championship at the Hickstead Derby Meeting in 2015.
5 All entries MUST be registered with Weatherbys in their General Stud Book and MUST be also registered with the ROR. The class is open to thoroughbreds that have RACED. There will be a prize for the highest placed veteran 15 years or over. The class will be run under the rules of ROR. Horses to be ridden by the judge. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force. Please be aware that the show will split the class on the horse s last run in a race (NH or Flat)or will provide two ride judges should the entries exceed 20. PLEASE MARK YOUR ENTRY FORM ACCORDINGLY. Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap. 24 The Tattersalls and RoR, Thoroughbred Ridden Show Horse class. Open to SSA Adult Members and Non- Members aged 18 or over on 1st January of the current year. Members carrying their current Championships Points Cards are eligible for S.S.A rosettes to 3rd place and S.S.A. Championship points. Side Saddle International offer a rosette to the Adult Member, judged to be the best turned out. EQUITATION CHAMPIONSHIPS JUNIOR QUALIFYING CLASS Run under S.S.A. rules defined in the current Members Handbook. Open to SSA Junior Members and Non- Members aged under 18 on 1st January of the current year. Members carrying their current Championship Points Cards are eligible for S.S.A rosettes to 3rd place and S.S.A. Championship Points. Southernden Farm offer a rosette to the highest placed Member, aged under 14 on 1 st January of the current year. Manor Grange Stud Show Centre offer a rosette to the Junior Member, judged to be the best turned out. QUALIFIER FOR THE SIR LANCELOT MEMORIAL TROPHY A special rosette will be offered to the Adult Member carrying their current Championship Points Card, of the S.S.A. Area in which the Show is organised, who during the Equitation Qualifier Class (irrespective of final placing) is judged to be the most elegant. That member will be eligible to compete in the Final for the Sir Lancelot Memorial Trophy (donated by the late Mrs E Skelton) at the National Side Saddle Show. A Member may only qualify once per season between one National Show and the next and if the Judge s first choice has already qualified, the rosette will be awarded to the next eligible competitor. SIDE SADDLE COSTUME CONCOURS d ELEGANCE The sole criterion for this class is the elegance of the picture presented by horse/pony and rider, and the way of going of the horse/pony. Safe tack must be used. Detailed inspection of the rider s period costume is not required. Fancy dress is not permitted. Competitors are required to walk, trot and canter. No individual show is required, but the judge may ask small groups of 3 or 4 riders to give short displays. 2 Special rosettes to the highest placed Adult and Junior members of the S.A.A. carrying their current Championship Points Card. Competitors should produce a brief resume about their costumes for the Commentator. Juniors must wear hats to current British Safety standards or above for this class. Adult riders not wearing such hats do so at their own risk. 40 Adult Equitation Class. This class is a qualifier for the Sir Lancelot Memorial Trophy. 41 Junior Equitation Class. 42 Ladies Hunter Mare or Gelding 4 years old or over to be ridden by a lady side saddle. 43a 43b Junior Costume Concours d Elegance. Juniors must wear hats to current British Safety Standards. Senior Costume Concours d Elegance. Adults not wearing current British Safety Standards hats do so at their own risk H32 Winner of the Sir Lancelot qualifier (class 40) H33 Side Saddle International offer a rosette to the member judged to be the best turned out in class 40. H34 Manor Grange Stud Show Centre offer a rosette to the Member judged to be the best turned out in class 41. H34A Southernden Farm offer a rosette to the highest placed Member in class 41 under 14 on the 1st January of the current year (2014). H35 A Special Rosette given by Mrs D Wilson to the most elegant Junior in class 41. SKEWBALD AND PIEBALD HORSE AND PONY CLASSES Judge: Mrs J Newbury, Exeter, Devon Notes: BSPA Classes are open to Skewbald and Piebald horses and ponies only. Open to Members and non-members. Members only to qualify for WCC. These classes are affiliated to the British Skewbald and Piebald Association and are qualifiers for the World Championships of Colour National Championships Show to be held at the Houghton Hall Equestrian Centre, Huntingdon, Cambs th September 2014.
8 All classes will be judged within the rules and criteria of the BSPA (copies of the rulebook and membership/horse registration/overstamping forms can be obtained from Show Office on or downloaded from All stallions four years and over must be Licensed, Graded and Registered with the BSPA in order to compete and must carry into the ring their Red BSPA Showing ID card No Bridle discs to be worn. In order to qualify all owners/handlers/riders must be members of the BSPA and all Horses/Ponies registered with BSPA prior to the Show. BSPA Qualification cards must be produced in the ring and be signed by the Judge, otherwise qualification is invalid. Qualification is 1st to 3rd in all classes or 1st to 4th for classes exceeding BSPA In Hand plaited horses and ponies qualifier. Skewbald and Piebald any age, height or type to be shown plaited and trimmed. 45 BSPA In Hand traditional/native/hogged cob qualifier. Skewbald and Piebald horses and ponies any height, age or sex. 46 BSPA In Hand pony youngstock qualifier. Skewbald/Piebald ponies calculated to make Pony Club Pony not exceeding 153cms and under at maturity. 1, 2 and 3 year olds, any sex or type. 47 BSPA In Hand youngstock qualifier. Skewbald/Piebald ponies calculated to exceed 153cms at maturity. 1, 2 and 3 year olds, any sex or type. 48 Ridden Class not exceeding 153cm, any sex, colour or type, 4 yrs old and over. Judge will not ride any exhibit. No spurs (BSPA rule). 1st-3rd place qualifies. Additional qualifier for best Vanner/Traditional or Native Type not in 1st-3rd. 49 Ridden Class exceeding 153cm,any sex, colour or type, 4 yrs old and over. 1st 3rd place qualifies. H37 Rosette to the Reserve Champion in classes SPOTTED HORSE AND PONY CLASSES Judge: Mrs J Newbury, Exeter, Devon 50 In Hand Class for any age, height, sex or type (please state age and height on entry form). 51 In Hand Class for 1, 2, or 3 years, any height, sex or type. 52 Ridden Class for any height, sex or type, 4 years old and over. H38 Rosette and a trophy presented by Tober Appaloosas to the Champion in classes The winner will go forward to the judging of the Champion Light Horse of the Show. H39 Rosette to the Reserve Champion in classes H40 Rosettes given by the British Spotted Pony Society to the owner of the best pony in each class, owned by a member of the Society. MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND Judge: Mr D Hodge, Okehampton, Devon Notes: These classes are open to ponies fully registered with one of the Native Pony Breed Societies (excluding Shetlands, which have their own classes). The Breed and Registration number should be stated on the entry form. This show is a qualifier for the Blue Chip Native Pony Association of Cornwall Champion of Champions 2014 (www. bluechipfeeds.com). If there are insufficient entries the small and large sections may be amalgamated. All entries must be shown in their natural state i.e. no plaiting, etc. 53 Lead Rein Class for Geldings or Mares, Small Breed, 4 yrs old or over. 54 Ridden Class for Stallions, Geldings or Mares, Small Breeds, 4 yrs old or over.
