Section champion cups will not be handed out until after the champion horse has been judged. Please allow time for results to be recorded. Would exhibitors ensure they enter for the Special Prizes on the entry form. Correctly secured British Standard Skull Caps/Riding hats Nos. PAS or 2011 with BSI Kitemark, VG1 with BSI Kitemark, ASTM-F a with SEI mark, Snell E 2001, 2016 with official Snell label and number and AS/NZS 3838, 2003 or 2006, that meet current safety standards must be worn by children at all times when mounted. Also these safety hats must be worn by all riders when jumping and it is recommended that they be worn by everyone when riding or handling horses and ponies at the Show. H3 The David Allen Perpetual Salver and 25 for Best Ridden Horse or Pony. IN HAND HUNTER AND SPORT HORSES Judge: Mrs A Bassett, Blandford Forum, Dorset Youngstock to exceed 153 cms (15hh) at maturity Notes: The name of the sire of all foals must be stated on the entry form. If insufficient entries are forwarded these classes may be combined. 1 Any Hunter/Sport Horse Brood Mare with own Foal at foot. 2 Foal progeny of a mare in class 1. H6 The Langaller Farm Brood Mare Premium Awards This takes the form of a voucher worth 50 awarded

3 H7 to the highest placed brood mare in class 1 and is redeemable against any stud fee for a stallion standing at Langaller Farm during the current or following season. Only one award per mare per season. Where the winning mare has already won a voucher in the current year the award goes to the next highest placed mare. Master Memorial Cup kindly presented by Mr and Mrs J Wilton, Padstow (outright winner 1988) for the Best Foal in class 2. No horse may be entered in both hunter and riding horse classes. 10 Riding Horse 11 Ridden Cob not exceeding 155cm (approx. 15.1hh) 12 Novice Hunter for horses not having won a first prize of 25 or a total of 75 in any Ridden Hunter class. 13 Small Hunter, mare or gelding over 148cm (14.2hh approx) but not exceeding 158cm (15.2hh approx). 14 Lightweight ridden hunter, mare or gelding capable of carrying up to 12 stone 7lbs. 15 Middleweight/Heavyweight ridden hunter, mare or gelding capable of carrying over 12 stone 7lbs. H11 Rosette and a Perpetual Challenge Trophy presented by Mrs A Melhuish to the Champion in classes The champion will go forward to the judging of the Champion Ridden Horse or Pony. Also 10 gift voucher from Hacks Country, Saltash. H12 Rosette to the Reserve Champion in classes H13 A Perpetual Cup kindly presented by Mr and Mrs Bevil Bunt for the best hunter in class 12 owned by a local exhibitor. RIDING PONIES Judge: Mrs C Hocking, Helston, Cornwall Ponies must be 4 years old and over. No stallions or colts allowed 16 Best Turned Out. Rider Open, Pony 15 hands and under. 17 Best Combination of Pony and Rider. Rider 12 years and under, Pony 14 hands and under. 18 Best Combination of Pony and Rider. Rider 16 years and under, Pony 15 hands and under. 19 Best Combination of Pony and Rider. Rider open, Pony 15 hands and under. 20 Lead Rein. Rider 8 years and under, Pony 12 hands and under. 21 First Ridden. Rider 10 years and under, Pony 13 hands and under. Competitors will not be asked to canter as a group but may canter during their individual show.

4 H15 Rosette and the Penhawger Cup presented by Mr and Mrs Gerry to the champion in classes The champion will go forward to the judging of the Champion Ridden Horse or Pony H16 Rosette to the Reserve Champion in classes H17 A Perpetual Shield presented by Mr and Mrs K A Snell and Family to the Mini Champion (best entry in classes 20 and 21). H18 A Special Prize presented by Mr and Mrs C B Bunt for the best pony in class 20 which is not in the prize money and is owned by a local exhibitor. RETRAINING OF RACEHORSES Judges: Ride: Mr R Bellamy, Chedworth, Gloucestershire Conformation: Ms L Tylor, Helston, Cornwall 22 The RoR Tattersalls Thoroughbred Ridden Show Series Qualifier 2019 Thoroughbred mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, any height. Riders must be 15 years or over. Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, pelham or simple double bridle. Horses should be plaited. The first TWO go forward to the championship in All entries MUST be registered with the RoR and include their registration number on entry form and have RACED in GB. The RoR judge will ride in this class. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force Please be aware that the show will split the class on the horse s last run in a race (NH or Flat) or will provide 2 ride judges should the entries exceed 20. Please mark your entry form accordingly. Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap. Racing injuries and blemishes will NOT be ignored in this series Prizes: Rosettes 1 st - 6 th and Vouchers 1 st to 4 th place. 1 st 60 plus voucher for jacket, 2 nd 40, 3 rd 20, 4 th 10. Veteran prize (15+) - 25 voucher to be redeemed from RoR office and qualification for the Veteran Final at the RoR Championships at Aintree. There will be a prize for the highest placed horse that is ridden by an Amateur 23 The RoR / TBA (Thoroughbred Breeders Association) Retrained Racehorse Challenge 2018 The RoR Retrained Racehorse Challenge. Mare or gelding 4 yrs old or over and of any height. Riders must be 15 years old or over on the 1 st January. Horses to be ridden in any suitable bridle and should be plaited. All entries must be registered with RoR and HAVE raced in GB. The first three go forward to the final at the RoR Championships at Aintree in August 2018 or 2019 for shows after 1 st August Horses will NOT be ridden by the judge. Horses may be stripped for conformation at the discretion of the judge. Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force. Racing injuries and blemishes ARE IGNORED in this series. The class to be judged 50% jumping, 20% style while jumping and performance and 30% awarded for show, manners and suitability to be retrained. PHASE 1 Jumping to be judged: 8 rustic jumps (2 6 to 3 with a maximum spread of 85 centimeters) The following points to be deducted at the end of each jumping round: 10 points to be deducted for a knock

5 down. 15 points to be deducted for a refusal. 20 points for second refusal. Elimination for third refusal or fall. PHASE 2 Class returns without boots and judged for an individual show/conformation. (In some classes, at the judge s discretion, horses might be asked to do a show following their jumping without leaving the ring. This is often the case with a large number in the class) Each horse is to complete an individual show of no longer than 1½ minutes. Show to include the following movements: Walk, trot, canter showing change of leg, extended canter (gallop) halt and stand, walk off on a long rein. Total marks out of 30% for show, manners and suitability to be retrained. Fences for the final at Aintree can be up to a maximum of 3 6. Additional Prizes: Rosettes 1 st - 6 th place and Vouchers 1 st 4 th place. 1 st - 50 plus voucher for jacket, 2 nd - 25, 3 rd - 20, 4 th- 10. Veteran prize (15+): 25 voucher to be redeemed from RoR office and qualification for the Veteran final at the RoR Championships at Aintree. H24 Rosette and Perpetual Challenge Shield presented by Mr C Phillips to the Champion who will go forward to the judging of the Champion Ridden Horse or Pony. H25 Rosette to the Reserve Champion. PURE, ANGLO OR PART-BRED ARAB Judge: Ms A Holloway, Seaton, Devon Note: All entries to be registered with the Arab Horse Society. If there are insufficient entries classes 25 and 26 will be amalgamated. 25 In Hand class for 4 year olds and over, any height, sex or type. 26 In Hand Class for 1, 2 or 3 year olds, any height, sex or type. 27 Ridden Class for any height, sex or type, 4 years old and over. H41 Rosette and a Trophy, presented by Ambumedical, West Looe to the Champion in classes The Best In hand entry to go forward to the judging of the Champion In hand Horse or Pony and the Best Ridden to go forward to the judging of the Champion Ridden Horse or Pony. H42 A Rosette to the Reserve Champion in classes H43 The South West Arab Horse Society will award special rosettes. SENIOR HORSE SHOWING THE OLYMPIA ANTHONY EVANS SSADL HOME PRODUCED FIRST ROUND QUALIFIER 2018 Judge: Mrs E Crew, Bridgewater, Somerset The Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Home Produced First Round Qualifiers only are open to both Members and Non Members of the Senior Showing & Dressage Ltd. The SSADL Rule Book can be found at: ALL COMPETITORS SHOULD ACQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH THE SSADL RULES BEFORE ENTERING. SSADL QUALIFICATION CARDS AND KEEP SAKE PRIZE CARDS 1 st to 6 th will be handed out in the ring at the time of presentation. COMPETITORS ONLY NEED ONE QUALIFICATION CARD PER SECTION PER SEASON, IN HAND AND/ OR RIDDEN. IF ALREADY QUALIFIED THIS CARD MUST BE HANDED DOWN THE LINE. NEXT STAGE OLYMPIA 2nd ROUND QUALIFIERS: You can only compete in the Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Second Round Qualifiers, if you are a 2018 member and your animal is registered with SSAD Ltd and hold the 2018 membership/registration card. Once you have qualified at a First Round Qualifier and you have received an Acceptance card, only then may you compete in the Olympia Anthony Evans Second Round

6 Qualifiers. The Second Round Champions will go on to compete at the Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Home Produced Supreme Final at the London International Horse Show in December Once a competitor has qualified for the Olympia Grand Final they may continue to compete at any 2 nd Round Qualifiers, but they will NOT be eligible to enter the Olympia Qualifying Championships. In this instance the second placed competitor will be eligible for this championship. Once a competitor has qualified for Olympia in the Ridden section they are NOT allowed to qualify in the In Hand section and vice versa. THE SAME RIDER/HANDLER/PONY/HORSE COMBINATION MUST STAY THE SAME FROM FIRST/SECOND ROUND QUALIFIERS AND GRAND FINAL. Lead reins permitted. 38 Novice Working Pony not exceeding 153cms (15hh) for ponies not having won a first prize in any Open Working Pony class. Jumps approx. 60cms. 39 Open Working Pony 133cms (13hh) and under. Riders 14 years and under. Jumps approx. 70cms. 40 Open Working Pony exceeding 133cms (13hh) but not exceeding 153cms (15hh). Riders any age. Jumps approx. 80cms. H29 Rosette to the Best East Cornwall Hunt Pony Club Member in class 36 H30 Rosette to the Best Registered Mountain and Moorland Pony in each class. H31 Mr and Mrs D Moore Grand Challenge Cup for the Champion Working Pony in classes SIDE SADDLE CLASSES Judge: Mrs L Hamilton, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire 41A EQUITATION CHAMPIONSHIPS ADULT QUALIFYING CLASS Run under SSA rules defined in the current Members Handbook. Open to SSA Adult Members and Non- Members aged 18 or over on 1st January of the current year. Members carrying their current Championship Points Cards are eligible for SSA rosettes to 3rd place and SSA Championship Points. Side Saddle International offer a rosette to the Adult Member, judged to be the best turned out. QUALIFIER FOR THE SIR LANCELOT MEMORIAL TROPHY A Special rosette will be offered to the Adult Member, carrying their current Championship Points Card, of the SSA Area in which the Show is organised, who during the Equitation Qualifier Class (irrespective of final placing) is judged to be the most elegant. That member will be eligible to compete in the Final for the Sir Lancelot Memorial Trophy (donated by the late Mrs E. Skelton) at the National Side Saddle Show. A Member may only qualify once per season between one National Show and the next, and if the Judge s first choice has already qualified, the rosette will be awarded to the next eligible competitor. 41B EQUITATION CHAMPIONSHIPS JUNIOR QUALIFYING CLASS Run under SSA rules defined in the current Members Handbook. Open to SSA Junior Members and Non- Members aged under 18 on 1st January of the current year. Members carrying their current Championship Points Cards are eligible for SSA rosettes to 3rd place and SSA Championship Points. Southernden Farm offers a rosette to the highest placed Member aged under 14 on 1st January of the current year. Manor Grange Stud Show Centre offer a rosette to the Junior Member, judged to be the best turned out. Hats to current Safety Standards or above must be worn. 42 SIDE SADDLE COSTUME CONCOURS d ÉLÉGANCE The sole criterion for this class is the elegance of the picture presented by horse/pony and rider, and the way of going of the horse/pony. Safe tack must be used. Detailed inspection of the rider s period costume is not required. Fancy dress is not permitted. Competitors are required to walk, trot and canter. No individual show is required, but the judge may ask small groups of 3 or 4 riders to give short displays. A Special rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Adult and Junior Members of the SSA carrying their current Championship Points Card. Competitors should produce a brief résumé about their costumes for the Commentator. Juniors must wear hats to current Safety Standard or above for this class. Adult riders not wearing such hats do so at their own risk.

8 HEAVY HORSES Judge: Mrs L Hamilton, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire 43 Best Ridden Heavy Horse. Open to Mares, stallions or geldings, 4 years old and over that are unregistered or registered in the main British stud books of the Shire, Clydesdale, Suffolk or Percheron Horse Societies. Riders of stallions must be 16 years and over. Horses may be shown unplaited or plaited with neck rolls. Neck flights are not permitted for health and safety reasons. Tail flights are permissible. Judge will not ride. The class will be judged on performance and obedience as a ridden horse in walk, trot, canter and stand and rein back. Horses will be asked to give a go-round together and will then complete an individual display lasting no longer than 2 minutes. On completion of the individual shows the horses may be stripped and judged on conformation. H32 Rosette for the Best Turned Out Heavy Horse SKEWBALD AND PIEBALD HORSE AND PONY CLASSES Judge: Ms J Newberry, Exeter, Devon BSPA CLASSES ARE OPEN TO SKEWBALD AND PIEBALD HORSES AND PONIES ONLY. OPEN TO MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS. These classes are affiliated to the British Skewbald and Piebald Association and are qualifiers for the Royal International Horse Show, Hickstead Tuesday 24 th July Classes will be judged under BSPA rules. Download from All horses/ponies must be registered and all owners and riders BSPA members prior to the show. Rider s age taken from 1 st January. Membership and qualification cards must be carried in the ring by competitors and produced as required for inspection or signature. Failure to do so will mean disqualification. All Spurs may not be worn in any pony class. Ponies 153cm or under (Shetlands exempt) must possess a current JMB height certificate All stallions must be graded and licensed by BSPA or hold a BSPA Showing Permit (contact BSPA for Stallion showing permit information) for 2018 and have a BSPA stallion ID card and wear BSPA Stallion ID Disc. No rider under 14 may exhibit a stallion in any class. No competitor / owner / horse may compete in this class or enter the ring without current 2018 Membership of BSPA and a RIHS qualification card. Qualification: 1 st place and the next unqualified competitor standing 2 nd or 3 rd qualify from each class. No competitor may qualify from lower than 3 rd place. BSPA Office: ; bspashows@gmail.com. Skewbald/Piebald ponies calculated to exceed 153cms at maturity. 1, 2 and 3 year olds, any sex or type. H34 Rosette and the Dinnis Cup to the Champion in classes The winner will go forward to the judging of the Champion In hand Horse or Pony. H36 Rosette to the Champion in classes The winner will go forward to the judging of the Champion Ridden Horse or Pony. Ponies must be named on the entry form and in the catalogue if one is produced. Society rosettes must only be given to ponies registered with the Society or eligible for registration (i.e. foals). All ponies must be registered or eligible for registration (ie foals) with the Shetland Pony Stud-Book Society (except classes 73 and 74). Three year old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All foals must be a minimum of three weeks old on the day of the Show. All entire males aged 2 years and over must display a stallion disc. There must be no colts or entire males in Young Handler Classes. Children under 14 years old may not show colts (excluding foals) or entire males in In-Hand classes. Children under 12 years old on the day of the Show may not show entire males in ridden classes. In the interests of safety, hard hats must be worn by all handlers aged 14 years or under in In-hand classes. Exhibitors should not kneel but remain standing while in the ring. Hard hats must be worn by all exhibitors, irrespective of age, in ridden classes. In ridden classes, if a rider falls off at any time whilst in the ring, both pony and rider must leave the ring, rider dismounted, and take no further part. NB.
