1 CHRISTCHURCH PONY CLUB 2019 Scandal Trophy Dressage and Jumping Day Canterbury Agricultural Park, Christchurch 8:30 am Sunday 17 February 2019 The 2019 Scandal Trophy Dressage and Jumping Day is a highlight of the year s events calendar, with opportunities for younger as well as more experienced riders to compete in individual and team events. Classes 1 13 are open to everyone not just Pony Club members. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Age as of day of competition. This competition is run under NZPCA and NZEF rules and regulations. Please be familiar with them. All competitors in Championship classes must be financial members of a NZPCA Club or Branch or affiliated to the RDA. Dressage Sections A and B open to everyone. Combinations are restricted to a maximum of three tests, including Scandal Trophy. Riders with more than one mount may need to restrict the number of classes entered to accommodate the smooth running of the day. One mount one rider. Plaiting required for Championship & Open classes (Classes 7 20). Plaiting recommended but optional for Beginner classes (classes 1 6). Gear check is compulsory failure to comply will result in elimination. Spurs and whips may be worn and carried if required. Dressage tests may be commanded EXCEPT championship classes Assisted Classes may be commanded but not led. The NZPCA Yellow Card system will be in place. Pony Club branch uniforms or jackets are required attire. Tagged helmet must be presented upon back number collection. This is a combined training competition of Dressage and Show Jumping. You may enter only dressage classes, but you may not enter only Jumping classes. The Rally Rule applies to all championship classes (Classes and 31 36); Entry form must be signed by Head Coach or rally co-ordinator. Riders ride at their own risk. Christchurch Pony Club accepts no liability for loss, damage or injury to any competitor, horse, official, spectator or equipment at this event. A full Health & Safety Plan will be available at the Office. Please abide by all signage. The order is: Class 22, 23, 25, 26, 28, 31, 32, 29, 33, 34 & 35. Note that class 29 is AFTER classes 31 and 32 this is to minimise the number of height changes.

2 DRESSAGE - SECTION A - BEGINNER / ASSISTED CLASSES. For riders with little experience in dressage. Assisted tests may be commanded but not led. Assistants for classes 1 & 4 can run beside the pony but not touch the rider, pony or any part of the tack. Riders may not compete in any other Dressage section of the competition. 7 Entry and Parking Information Please enter off Curletts Road. Do not come in by the Saleyards entrance. That area is being used for the New Zealand Standardbred Sales. Please remember that this is a shared public use area and be aware that spectators may not be familiar with horses and equestrian activities.
