2 From The Track Director & President Dear Community Leader Spring is not far off and we at are preparing for another exciting and fun season of Bicycle Motocross Racing. Our main goals for the year are to upgrade our facilities to provide a fun filled recreational activity for boys, girls and adults alike. Our Organization is a non profit organization and therefore, we rely on the generosity and support of community leaders and businesses to help support our efforts. In addition, our operating staff are all volunteers, which means that 100% of your donations go directly to our organization and are completely tax deductible. We offer many sponsorship packages at different levels. Please take time to look through the sponsorship packet. If you don t see something that works for your company, let us know and we ll tailor something for you. BMX Racing provides the entire family a unique opportunity for fun and exercise. We typically race on Monday nights, all summer long, and invite you and your family to attend any of our races where admission is always free. 3 What Is BMX Racing? Since its beginning, a little over 30 years ago, Bicycle Motocross Racing (BMX) has grown into a national and international sport, involving thousands of dedicated, committed youngsters and their parents. The key ingredients in this rapid growth formula are simple: BMX is fun to compete in, exciting to watch, and involves the entire family. Each BMX race consists of eight riders of matching age and skill, all competing on specially equipped bicycles over a short but challenging course of jumps and turns. Racers start from a gate on a small hill. After the start of the race, they skillfully maneuver, according to their skills, toward the finish line as fast as they can go. The winner, of course, is the first to cross the finish line. Competition events take place at local tracks, with the State Championships occurring in each state, while the National Championships culminate in the Grand National Race. In addition, BMX has reached a milestone the Olympic Games! Over the past 30 years, BMX racing has proved its staying power and made its proud debut as a full medal sport at the Olympic Games in Beijing, China in July of A big day for everyone who has been involved with this exciting sport. USABMX is the sanctioning body behind our sport, with over 350 BMX Tracks located in every State, Canada and Puerto Rico. Racers are divided up by both age group and proficiency. Novice, Intermediate, Expert & Super X riders compete on an amateur basis for trophies and the status of achieving a high point standing. Professional racers, many of whom are sponsored by bicycle and race clothing manufacturers, compete for points standings, event purse money, plus sponsor s purses, which at National events, sometimes run to several thousands of dollars. The form of sponsorship offering the most cost effective promotional viability is the sponsorship of a team of nationally competitive riders. Riders at this level of personal commitment generally race two or three times a week, competing in Local, State and National series events throughout the United States and abroad.

Parents recognize the importance of these organizations to the youth of our community and appreciate your participation in the event. Patronizing the local businesses that support these organizations is their way of showing thanks. *** For this Racing Season, we have three Racer Sponsorship Packages available to you *** 2015 Sponsorship Packages & Features Basic Racer Sponsorship $300 Premium Racer Sponsorship $375 Statewide Racer Sponsorship $550 Your Racer will race for free at all District Point Races. * Your Company s Name will be announced at the events as being the sponsor of Your Racer. Your Company s Name will be listed on the official JohnstownBMX.org website. Your Company s Name will appear on a Group Sign at the Track, showing your support for the Racers and the BMX Track. Your Company s Name will be silk screened onto the top of the back of Your Racer s Official Race Jersey. Your Company will receive a Full Color 3 x 3 Track Sign A $250 Value (see description below) For those Racers competing at the State Level, Your Racer will race for free and will represent your company at four State Qualifier Races, and the State Championship Event, plus Your Racers Name & Number & Your Logo will be on a sign displayed at the State Qualifiers and State Championship Event held all across Pennsylvania. *This DOES NOT INCLUDE The State Qualifier held at or the required USABMX Competitors License 2015 Track Signs & Track Banners Will Be In Place From The Spring Thru The Fall At Highland Park In Richland Signs are available, that surround the track, to advertise your company s logo, and any other information about your company, that you d like to display to the public. The File Format must be a:.eps,.psd,.jpg or.pdf file (other formats may be suitable contact us if unable to supply those listed) and it is recommended that it be of the appropriate quality (150 minimum DPI) and scaled for the size of the sign you are getting (such as 3 x 3 ). If artwork is needed or requires more than minor changes, such as scaling, it can be done by our Sign Vendor and billed at a rate of $35/Hour (estimates available).
