3 Executive Editor As approved by the BoG, the new Executive Editor, Prakash Narayan, started on March 1st, The Executive Editor is reponsible for day-to-day paper handling/assignment, dealing with authors and AEs, and interacting with ScholarOne. The EiC retains overall responsibility, and is responsible for producing issues (ToC), handling appeals, interacting with IEEE Production Portal, recruiting new AEs (in consultation with EE and EEB), writing reports, chasing delinquent reviewers, making presentations. Normally the Executive Editor transitions to the role of EiC after 18 months (at which point a new EE is appointed); in Prakash s case, this transition will occur on January 1st,

13 Editorial Board Online Discussion Forum At the Editorial Board Dinner at ISIT 2015 in Hong Kong, several Associate Editors requested that an online discussion forum be set up. As approved by the BoG, we implemented this using the muut system, which provides: instant view on updates since last visit fast search real-time posts (chat-room style) complete data export excellent support for mobile screens The discussion board went live on January 18th, Usage of the discussion board has been very low, and we will likely not renew our muut subscription. A special thank you to Christian Senger, Institute of Telecommunications, University of Stuttgart for setting things up! 13
