3 2 ACCOMMODATION: Any teams that still requires accommodation are asked to please contact KYSA Executive Director Keith Liddiard at The KYSA has block-booked space at several local hotels and Keith will be pleased to put you in contact with properties that have space. OPENING CEREMONIES: All teams are required to attend or face a fine from BC Soccer. Teams should arrive and be seated at the Round House on the First Nations Pow Wow Grounds by 9:15pm. The Pow Wow grounds are very easy to find, but the KYSA will have maps available at the pre-tournament Coaches Meetings. Spectators are most welcome, there will be plenty of seating for all! PARKING: Parking on McArthur Island is free. There are ample parking spots. However, there will be a number of events taking place on McArthur Island besides soccer matches. Please allow plenty of time to find a parking spot. The Island is heavily policed by Bylaw Officers. Please be sure not to park in any areas where it is prohibited. FIRST AID: St. John Ambulance volunteers will be located on the Island in two areas for all games: Between Fields #1 and #2 and between Fields #5 and #6 (in the field house/washroom building). They will have full view of all matches on the Island. TECHNICAL/SPECTATOR AREAS: Only accredited staff and players are permitted in the technical area or around the area where the teams are situated next to the field of play. Field marshals will be assigned to supervise each field, collect scores and information regarding the issuance of any red or yellow cards GIRLS PROVINCIAL B CUP INFORMATION PACKAGE PAGE 2

4 3 WORLD CUP GAMES: The four quarter-final games of the 2018 World Cup in Russia will be played July 6 and July 7. The games are scheduled to be televised at 7:00am and 11:00am PST. The KYSA is making arrangements for a central viewing area where tournament participants can watch the matches. More details will be forthcoming shortly. PRACTICE TIMES: KYSA has access to several pitches in Kamloops for team practices. If you would like to reserve a pitch prior to or during the tournament, please KYSA Program Coordinator Clive Lovett at kysarep@telus.net with your request. With the expectation that KYSA will likely receive several requests we ask that you limit your practice time to 1.5 hours per session. SOUVENIR WATER BOTTLES: Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Tourism Kamloops, all participants will receive complimentary souvenir water bottles to use throughout the tournament. They will be distributed to all teams at the Coaches/Managers meeting. TENTS/COVER: The KYSA will have tents for all teams to congregate at/sit under at all fields. However, inbound teams are more than welcome to bring their own club tents and locate them in close proximity to the KYSA s. MEDAL PRESENTATIONS: All medal presentations (to Champions and Runners-Up in each division) will take place in an area adjacent to the KYSA office (next to Field #2).
