The show will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, at the Outdoor Arena adjacent to the new stalling barn. Judge is Brent Meeks of Taylor, Nebraska. In keeping with IHBA board policy, hair will be pulled for DNA samples on the grand and reserve champions in the open show as well as the 4-H heifer and steer shows. As noted in the calendar at left, application deadline for both the Christenson and Harms Scholarships is Aug. 1. Guidelines were published in the last newsletter and application forms are available on the juniors page on the IHBA website. The forms instruct applicants to return the paperwork to administrative secretary Becky Simpson. However, since she will be on vacation from Aug. 1-10, please send the completed applications to Marilyn Lenth, th St., Postville, IA 52162; lhfarms1@neitel.net. This will ensure that all applications will be reviewed by the selection committee. The Buell F.
