Insallaion, wirings and sar-up procedures mus be performed according o he general prescripions shown in able 003 and in he user manuals included in he E-SW-*/S programming sofware. The elecrical signals of he valve (e.g. monior signals) mus no be direcly used o acivae safey funcions, like o swich-on/o he machine s safey componens, as prescribed by he European sandards (Safey requiremens of fluid echnology sysems and componens-hydraulics, EN-982). 9.1 ower supply and wirings (+ and 0) The power supply mus be appropriaely sabilized or recified and filered: apply a leas a m/40 capaciance o single phase recifiers or a 4700 m/40 capaciance o hree phase recifiers. safey fuse is required in series o each driver power supply: 2,5 fuse. Noe: pin 2 and 10 (zero ol) are conneced ogeher inside he elecronics. 9.2 Reference Inpu Signals (Q_INUT+ and _INUT+ / _INUT+) The driver is designed o receive wo analog inpu signals for he valve s spool posiion and sysem s pressure (force); boh s are referred o he common mode signal zero (GND). The inpus range and polariy are sofware selecable wihin he ±10 DC maximum range; defaul seings are 0 10 DC. Drivers wih fieldbus inerface (-BC or -B) can be sofware se o receive values direcly by he machine conrol uni (fieldbus maser); in his case he analog inpu signals can be used for sar-up and mainenance operaions. Opion /I The max range of inpu signals are sofware selecable among 4 20 m (defaul wih cable break deecion), ±10 m, ±20 m or 0 20 m 9.3 Monior Oupu Signal (Q_MONITOR+ and _MONITOR+ / _MONITOR+) The driver generaes wo analog oupu signals o monior he acual spool posiion of he valve and o he acual sysem pressure (force); he monior oupu signals can be sofware se o show oher signals available in he driver (e.g. analog, fieldbus, pilo spool posiion). The oupu polariy is sofware selecable wihin ±10 DC maximum range; defaul seings are 0 10 DC. Noe: pin 2 and 10 (zero ol) are conneced ogeher inside he elecronics. 9.6 Enable Inpu Signal (ENBLE) To enable he driver, supply a +24 DC on pin 3 referred o pin 2: when he Enable signal is se o zero he valve funcioning is disabled bu he driver curren oupu sage is sill acive. This condiion does no comply wih European Norms EN (ex EN954-1). 9.7 aul Oupu Signal (ULT) aul oupu signal indicaes faul condiions of he driver (solenoid shor circuis/no conneced, signal cable broken for 4 20 m inpu, valve spool/pressure ransducers cable broken, ec.). aul presence corresponds o 0 DC, normal working corresponds o 24 DC (pin 11 referred o pin2). aul saus is no affeced by he saus of he Enable inpu signal. 9.8 ressure Transducer Inpu Signal (TR) Remoe pressure (force) ransducers mus be direcly conneced o he driver using a dedicaed M8 connecion (see secion 7). 5 11 MIN SOTWRE RMETER SETTINGS The following is a brief descripion of he main seinsg and feaures of E-RI-(TE)LES-*/S* drivers. or a deailed descripions of he available seings, wirings and insallaion procedures, please refer o he programming manuals included in he E-SW-*/S programming sofware (see 10 ) Scale (low and ressure/orce) Scale funcion allows o se he maximum valve regulaion a maximum signal values. Two differen flow Scale regulaions are available for double solenoid valves or hree posiion single solenoid valves: Scale for posiive and ScaleB for negaive signal Bias and Threshold (low) roporional valves may be provided wih a dead band in he hydraulic regulaion corresponding o heir swich-off saus. This dead band disconinuiy in he valve s regulaion can be compensaed by acivaing he Bias funcion, which adds a fixed prese Bias value o he signal (analog or fieldbus exernal inpu). The Bias funcion is acivaed when he signal overcome he Threshold value, prese ino he driver. The Bias seing allows o calibrae he Bias valve opening o he specific proporional valve o which he driver is coupled. The Threshold seing is useful o avoid undesired valve regulaion a 0 DC signal when elecric noise is presen on he analog inpu signal: smaller hreshold reduces he signal dead band, greaer values are less affeced by elecric noise presence. If fieldbus signal is acive (see 9.2), hreshold should be se o zero. Two differen Bias regulaions are available for double solenoid valves or hree posiion single solenoid valves: posiive signals acivae Bias and negaive signals acivae BiasB. Refer o he programming manuals for a deailed descripion of oher sofware selecable Bias funcions Offse (low) roporional valves may be provided wih zero overlapping in he hydraulic regulaion corresponding o zero inpu signal (valve s cenral spool posiion). The Offse funcion allows o calibrae he valve s spool cenral posiion o he specific hydraulic sysem seup (e.g. valve applied o cylinder wih differenial areas). Offse defaul seing is zero Bias (ressure) ressure conrol can be limied in he minimum regulaion: he minimum pressure depends on he valve size, he regulaed flow and he T por pressure. Desired pressure requesed hrough he signal (analog or fieldbus exernal inpu), mus be greaer han he minimum pressure o obain he valve s bes repeaibiliy and response ime. The Bias funcion can be se o limi inernally he minimum pressure indipendenly from he exernal value hus opimizing valve s performances. Refer o he programming manuals for a deailed descripion of oher sofware selecable Bias funcions Offse (orce) The Offse funcion allows o calibrae he conrolled force a zero signal o he specific hydraulic sysem seup (e.g. weigh conpensaion wih force conrol on verical load). Offse defaul seing is zero Ramps (low and ressure/orce) The ramp generaor allows o conver sudden change of elecronic signal ino smooh ime-dependen increasing/decreasing of he valve regulaions. Differen ramp mode can be se: - single ramp for any variaion - wo ramps for increasing and for decreasing variaions - four ramps for posiive/negaive signal values and increasing/decreasing variaions Ramp generaor is useful for applicaion where smooh hydraulic acuaion is necessary o avoid machine vibraion and shocks. If he proporional valve is driven by a closed loop conroller, he ramps can lead o unsable behaviour, for hese applicaions ramp funcion can be sofware disabled (defaul seing) Linearizaion (low and ressure/orce) Linearizaion funcion allows o se he relaion beween he inpu signal and he conrolled valve s regulaions. Linearizaion is useful for applicaions where i is required o linearize he valve s regulaions in a defined working condiion Diher (low and ressure/orce) The diher is an high frequency modulaion added o he valve s signals o reduce he hyseresis of he valve s regulaion; in fac a small vibraion in he valve s hydraulic regulaions considerably reduces he mechanical fricion effecs (e.g. due o cylinder seals). Diher frequency and ampliude are sofware selecable; he ampliude is auomaically reduced a high values (high regulaed flow/pressure/force) o avoid possible insabiliy. Lower frequency and higher ampliude reduce hyseresis bu also reduce he regulaion sabiliy. In some applicaion his can lead o vibraion and noise: righ seing usually depends on sysem seup. Diher defaul seing is disabled Remoe ransducer scale (ressure/orce) Remoe pressure/force ransducer characerisics mus be always seleced o mach he applicaion requiremens and obain he bes performances: ransducer nominal range should be a leas 115% 120% of he maximum regulaed pressure/force.
