Letter from the Executive Director This spring our team is poised to deliver another phenomenal round of programs that build confidence, instill character values, and strengthen community. As you may know, the Y is open to all regardless of age, language, or income. And in order to continue make this tremendous impact happen, we need your help. Currently the Oak Square YMCA provides the community with over $350,000 in financial assistance per year to ensure that nobody is turned away for the inability to pay. The Y s Annual Campaign begins in February, and we have a big goal of $190,000 this year. Please consider making a gift, or better yet, signing up as a volunteer to spread the word of the good work the Y is doing. Above all, thank you for being part of the Y. Undoubtedly you have noticed that since you got involved, the YMCA is so much more than simply a place to work out or swim. It is a place for friendship, life skills, self-esteem, confidence, and the belief that no matter one s circumstances, there is an opportunity for every adult and child to reach their potential.
