The rad width shuld be at least 7 meters wide. Rad events ver 15 kilmeters shuld, if pssible, be run n lnger curses and with slightly mre challenging terrain. The starting line may be mved, accrding t the distance f the race. T facilitate a safe departure, the width at the start shall be a minimum f 7 meters. There shuld be at least 100 meters f straight rad between the start line and the first turn n the curse. The last 200 meters shuld be free f turns and curves. There shuld be at least 75 meters f straight rad after the finish line t allw cyclists t slw withut difficulty. Clarificatin fr Time Trials: The curse layut fr a time trial can be as shrt as 500 meters nly if the number f starters is limited and the starting riders cannt interfere with lapping riders. If the curse is a lp, the first turn after the starting area shuld be at least 100 meters frm the start. The ideal curse length is tw (kilmeters). The rad must be wide enugh t allw riders t pass each ther with at least 1 meter between them side t side at time f passing. (Recmmend 4 meters r greater). Time trial curses can be ut and back if the lanes are separated by a physical barrier (a fence, cncrete divider, grass median r curb). Time trials may be pint t pint curses and have a separate start and finish line. The finish line shuld remain fixed fr all distances with a variable start line lcatin fr different distances. The rad surface shuld be in gd cnditin, free f pthles and nt made f gravel. Prir t the time trial, pebbles, gravel and earth shuld be swept ff the rad. Sewers shuld be cvered by a rubber plate. Bales f hay shuld be placed in frnt f the trees and psts at turns and curves f the cycling curse. The time trial curse shuld be clsed t public traffic. 7 Individual Skills Cmpetitin NOTE: Cmpetitin Managers must specify the type f ball t be used at each ISC cmpetitin. Level 1 ball is the red fam ball. Individual Skills Cmpetitin Frehand Vlley The athlete stands apprximately ne meter frm the net with the feeder n the ther side f the net, psitined halfway between the service line and the net. Each athlete is given five attempts t hit a ball safely ver the net. The feeder underhand tsses each ball t the athlete s frehand side. The athlete scres 5 pints fr hitting int the service bx int either service bx. A ball landing in the crrect service bx will cunt 10 pints. A zer (0) scre is recrded if the athlete cmmits a ft fault r fails t get the ball in the service bx. A ft fault ccurs when the athlete steps n r ver the service line. Individual Skills Cmpetitin Alternating Grundstrkes with Mvement 1) The athlete begins 1m behind the center (T) f the service line. Added new Sectin C Levels Revisins t the Tennis Rating Frm Sectin D Vlleyball Liber player updates Fr minr miscnduct, a verbal warning fllwed by a yellw card may be given. If given, the yellw card applies t the entire team fr the match. After a yellw care warning, sanctins may escalate t a red card, which is a penalty pint and service t the ppnent, a yellw and red card shwn tgether, which results in expulsin frm the set, r a yellw and red card shwn separately, which results in disqualificatin frm the match. The players jerseys must be numbered in a permanent manner frm 1 t 99. Fr Special Olympics Wrld Games, players jerseys must be numbered in accrdance with current FIVB rules. The numbers must be a minimum f 10cm (4 ) in height n the chest and a minimum f 15cm (6 ) in height n the back. It is recmmended (but nt required) that the team captain have a stripe n his/her jersey underlining the number n the chest. A player shall nt play the ball twice in successin, except in blcking.
