8 SCOPE OF PHASE 1A IMPROVEMENTS General Scope of Work on PCH (Blue Lantern to Crystal Lantern): 1. Construction of new signalized intersections on PCH at Del Prado, and PCH at Ruby Lantern; 2. Modification of traffic signals on PCH at Amber Lantern, Violet Lantern, Golden Lantern and Copper Lantern to accommodate two-way traffic; 3. Installation of a new signalized pedestrian crosswalk on PCH between Silver Lantern and Malaga Drive; 4. Construction of new PCC bus pads, bus turn-outs and parking cut-outs at various locations along PCH; 5. Rehabilitation of existing driveway approaches and cross gutters at various locations; 6. Sidewalk and pedestrian ramp rehabilitation at various locations to meet current ADA requirements; 7. Street rehabilitation of PCH from Blue Lantern to Crystal Lantern; 8. Storm drain & necessary electrical utility improvements at various locations; 9. Construction of two landscape medians along PCH between Blue Lantern and Amber Lantern; 10. Street improvements on Blue Lantern, Ruby Lantern, and Golden Lantern; 11. Remove existing Tipu trees and install Palms; and 12. Re-striping PCH from Blue Lantern to Crystal Lantern for two-way traffic

9 SCOPE OF PHASE 1A IMPROVEMENTS (Continued) General Scope of Work on Del Prado (Blue Lantern to Ruby Lantern): 1. Construct bulb-outs with landscaping at the intersection of Del Prado and Ruby Lantern 2. Sidewalk and pedestrian ramp addition/ replacement meeting current ADA requirements; 3. Curb & gutter rehabilitation; 4. Removal of existing driveways on Del Prado at various locations (ingress/ egress to various properties shall be limited to the alleyway south of Del Prado); 5. Relocation of existing catch basins and construction of new storm drain laterals; 6. Removal of the existing street lights, modification of the street light spacing to meet current County of Orange Standards, and the installation of new Victorian luminaires; 7. Install bike racks, street furniture, and dog fountain; 8. Remove existing Tipu trees and install Palms and bulb-out trees; 9. Vacate south end portion of Del Prado in favor of turfed green space & new pervious areas; 10. Install necessary utilities, i.e. storm drain and electrical; 11. Street rehabilitation of Del Prado from Blue Lantern to Ruby Lantern; 12. Add parking on PCH at Blue Lantern (south side); 13. Re-striping of Del Prado from Blue Lantern to Ruby Lantern for two-way traffic; and 14. Add way finding signage and parking signage.

10 GENERAL CONCERNS - Retain two lanes for vehicles most of the time. - Retain access to businesses. - Business signage. - Communicate well with everyone. - Reduce construction impacts, e.g. noise/dust. - Help Contractor move quickly to finish. - Accomplish work safely.
