Entering a stretch where the 12th-ranked Duke women s basketball team (15-2, 3-1 ACC) will play three out of the next four games on the road, the Blue Devils will travel to Raleigh, N.C., to face 23rd-ranked NC State Sunday, Jan. 15 at 3 p.m., in Reynolds Coliseum. Sunday s game will be aired live on RSN-TV with Tom Werme (PXP) and Chelsea Shine (Color) calling the action. The RSN-TV game will be aired on the following channels -- FOX Sports South, FOX Sports Carolinas, FOX Sports Sun, FOX Sports Midwest Plus, FOX Sports Indiana Plus, Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic Plus, YES, NESN, ROOT Sports Pittsburgh, SportsTime Ohio, FOX Sports Detroit, FOX Sports Wisconsin Plus, FOX Sports Southwest Plus, FOX Sports San Diego, FOX Sports Prime Ticket, ROOT Sports Rocky Mtn. and ROOT Sports Northwest. The Blue Devils will return home to host Virginia Tech Thursday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. It will be aired live on ACC Network Extra. Storylines/Other Blue Devil Notes... Duke is looking to snap a fi ve-game losing streak to ranked opponents on the road. With a 5.4 per game average, the Blue Devils lead the ACC and ranks 27th nationally in blocks per game. In ACC action, Kyra Lambert is averaging 11.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 2.5 assists. The Blue Devils are in a stretch where they are playing fi ve road games out of a seven-game ledger. With the win against UNC, Duke is now 26-6 coming off a loss in regular season ACC games under Coach P. Duke has featured three different leading scorers in each of the last three contests -- Lexie Brown, Kyra Lambert & Leaonna Odom. The Blue Devils currently ranks ninth nationally with a 47.9 fi eld goal percentage Duke guard Rebecca Greenwell ranks 16th in the ACC in rebounds per game, while leading the team with a 6.3 average. Sophomore Crystal Primm came off the bench at Florida State and totaled a season-high six points and six rebounds. Over the last fi ve games, Kendall Cooper has averaged 7.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks. She has hit 59.3 percent of her fi eld goals. Cooper started against UNC and totaled nine points, eight rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes. Coming off totaling a season-low 10 minutes and zero points at Florida State, senior Oderah Chidom did not start against North Carolina. That snapped a 27-game consecutive starts streak. Chidom responded by totaling eight points, fi ve rebounds and four blocks in 19 minutes against the Tar Heels. Through the fi rst 12 games, Rebecca Greenwell was averaging 20.5 points, but over the last four contests she has averaged only 9.0 points and 6.0 rebounds. NC State enters the contest ranked 23rd nationally with a 13-5 overall and 3-2 league mark. The Wolfpack has lost two out of their last three games versus 14th-ranked Miami and 24th-ranked Syracuse. On the season, Chelsea Nelson (11.7 points, 6.2 rebounds), Miah Spencer (10.9 points, 3.8 rebounds), Dominique Wilson (10.3 points, 3.1 rebounds) and Jennifer Mathurin (9.4 points, 6.2 rebounds) have paced the Wolfpack. The Series with NC State... The Blue Devils will be facing the Wolfpack for the 77th time in history with NC State leading the series, In games at Reynolds Coliseum, Duke owns a record of 13-21, but the Blue Devils have won eight out of the last nine meetings. It snapped Jennifer Howard s mark of 40, which was the previous ACC mark. Brown broke the previous Duke record of 37 held by Chelsea Gray. The NCAA record currently stands at 70 by Lauren Prochaska of Bowling Green (Nov Dec. 21, 2010). Brown has hit 65 free throws on the year, which ranks second in the league. Sophomore Kyra Lambert is coming off totaling three straight double-digit scoring games for the fi rst time in her career. 3 Duke Basketball State, while fi nishing with a team-high 12 points. Lambert has scored double-digits in 14 collegiate games and 10 of those have come over her last 20 games. The guard has opened the season scoring double-digits in eight of the 17 games and is averaging 9.0 points. She had a career-high 17 points versus Grand Canyon as she hit 6-of-10 fi eld goals. Odom Breaks Out... Freshman Leaonna Odom had scored nine points in three ACC games leading up to the North Carolina contest. The rookie broke out with 15 points in 30 minutes to help boost the Blue Devils to the win over their rival. She added seven rebounds, two blocks, two steals and one assist, while hitting 7-of-9 fi eld goals. Odom owns the sixth-highest scoring average in the ACC for a freshman (8.1). Her 58 fi eld goals is tied with Georgia Tech s Francesca Pan for the most in the ACC by a rookie. Versus Ranked Foes... The Blue Devils will face their fi fth ranked opponent this season. Duke owns a 3-1 record against those opponents, but is coming off a loss at sixth-ranked Florida State. In the four games, Duke is averaging only 61.5 points and hitting 41.6 percent of its fi eld goals. The Blue Devil defense is holding opponents to 60.2 points, 39.3 percent shooting and 29.3 percent from downtown. Duke has been outrebounded by 5.0 in the contests. Lexie Brown has averaged 13.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.0 assists. Rebecca Greenwell has averaged 12.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 steals. Stealing the Show... Rebecca Greenwell is averaging 17.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals on the road, but has hit only 1-of-8 treys the last two games. With averages of 14.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.1 steals, Lexie Brown has the secondhighest per game average in road games. Kyra Lambert has scored double-digits in each of her last two road contests and is averaging 9.7 points on the road this season. Since a loss at Vanderbilt allowing 77 points, Duke has held its opponents to 57.1 points over a 12-game stretch. Last season, the Blue Devils hit 66.4 percent from the line. Lexie Brown ranks second in the ACC (92.9) and sixth nationally, while Rebecca Greenwell is fi fth (84.7) in the league. Streak Ends... Duke s 10-game winning streak came to an end on the road at sixth-ranked Florida State. The streak was the longest for the Blue Devils since the campaign. The Blue Devils had one of their worst offensive outings in school history hitting only 25.4 percent from the fi eld, 0-11 from downtown and turning the ball over 20 times. It snapped a 56-game streak with at least one three-pointer made. Duke dished a season-low four assists and scored a season-low 45 points. Blue Devils Move Back in Rankings... Following the upset win over third-ranked South Carolina, Duke moved back in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Poll at No. 21 overall. In its fi fth straight week in the poll, Duke has climbed to No. 12 in the AP ledger. Duke had a 312-week streak of being in the top 25 prior to moving out last season. Three-Point Tandem... The tandem of Rebecca Greenwell and Lexie Brown is one of the most prolifi c three-point duos in the ACC. Both have combined to hit 333 three-pointers over their career. In the fi rst 17 games, they have combined to hit 77 three-pointers. The top three-point shooting duo in school history was Tricia Liston and Alexis Jones in with a combined 127 treys. Duke Retires Elizabeth Williams Jersey... Duke retired Elizabeth Williams No. 1 jersey 4at halftime of the Blue Devils Dec. 29 contest against Kentucky. Williams became just the third player in Duke women s basketball history to have her jersey retired, joining Alana Beard (#20) and Lindsey Harding (#10). Williams completed a storied career at Duke in 2015, graduating as a four-time All-America selection. She was the fi rst player from the ACC and only the eighth player in the NCAA to garner All-America distinction from the Associated Press in each of her four years. Williams was also the fi rst player in ACC history to total over 1,900 points, 1,000 rebounds and 400 blocks for her career. McCallie announced Blue Devil freshman Emily Schubert will miss the campaign, after suffering a torn ACL during practice. The 6-4 center will apply for a medical redshirt and have four years remaining. Schubert, a native of Elizabethton, Tenn., was an All-Region, All-District and All-Conference selection in her fi nal year at Elizabethton H.S.
