The autclave's jb is t render its cntents sterile, r free f any living rganisms. If it fails t d s, serius health 2 hazards can result. The ht, pressurized steam (121 C, 1.2 kg/cm in gauge) that autclaves generate t d this jb makes them serius burn hazards as well. And, because cnditins created inside steam autclaves are s extreme, autclaves can easily malfunctin if they are nt carefully. Befre using Labnics Prduct. 4 KEEP WARNING FOR YOUR SAFETY DO NOT OPERATE WITHOUT WATER INSIDE OF THE CHAMBER HEATER IN THE CHAMBER SHOULD BE IMMERSED IN THE WATER TO PREVENT OVER HEATING OR MALFUNCTION IF THERE IS NO WATER IN THE CHAMBER DURING OPERATION THE AUTOCLAVE WILL MOMENTARILY OVERHEAT. HOT HOT AFTER COMPLETELY VENTILATED, OPEN CHAMBER DOOR ABOUT ONE CENTIMETER AND ALLOW TEN MINUTES TO LET THE LOAD COOL BEFORE REMOVING TRAY. ALL STEEL PARTS OF AUTOCLAVE ARE HOT. DO NOT TOUCH DURING OPERATION OR STERILIZATION CYCLE. NEVER AUTOCLAVE NITROCELLULOSE TUBES - THEY CAN EXPLODE! DO NOT PUT FLAMMABLE, VOLATILE OR EXPLOSIVE MATERIALS INSIDE OF THE CHAMBER DO NOT REMOVE THE GROUND PRONG (THIRD PIN) (IN CASE OF 110V) FROM THE POWER CORD, OR USE AN UNGROUNDED ADAPTER. THE AUTOCLAVE REQUIRES A 3- WIRE RECEPTACLE. IF ONE IS NOT AVAILABLE, CONSULT WITH AN ELECTRICIAN FOR INSTALLATION. THE MAIN VOLTAGE MUST CORRESPOND TO THE VOLTAGE GIVEN ON THE NAME PLATE. YOUR AUTOCLAVES ARE 120VAC 60HZ OR 220VAC 50/60HZ SINGLE PHASE TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK, DO NOT OPEN THE BODY. NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. PLACE AUTOCLAVE ON THE FLAT AND LEVELED SURFACE BE SURE TO CONNECT DRAIN AND STEAM VENTILATION VALVE TO DRAIN SINK USE DISTILLED WATER ONLY TO PROTECT HEATER AND SENSOR CHANGE WATER IN THE CHAMBER FREQUENTLY TO PREVENT CONTAMINATION AND ODOR. 6 2.2 Pwer Cnnectin Cautin 1. Yur Autclave is designed fr 110VAC 60Hz 1P r 220VAC 50 / 60Hz Single Phase. 2. Check electrical requirement n the name plate befre use. Name plate is lcated in electric crd cnnectin. Mdel Electrical Requirement Amp Phase LAC ~240 VAC 50/60Hz 3 kw 14 AMP Single Phase 3. Cnnect t receptacle with grund cnnectin. 4. Make sure t supply enugh electrical current. 5. The pwder scket and plug fr LAC-60 is 220VAC SINGLE PHASE. DO NOT cnnect t 380VAC THREE PHASE. 2.3 Installatin Cautin 1. Install autclave where water supply and water drainage is pssible. Yur autclave using water fr steam sterilizatin, it is highly recmmended t install n a place where water supply and water drainage is cnvenient. 2. D nt use in high humid envirnment r install beside delicate instruments. Yur autclave generates heat and steam during peratin, it may damage ther delicate instruments. 3. Install autclave ven at least 100mm apart frm side and back wall. Steam and drain water frm the back f autclave. 4. Place flat, rigid and leveled surface. 5. When mving autclave d nt up-side-dwn. 6. D nt place any bject n the tp f autclave. 2.4 Operatin Warning 1. Ht surface may cause serius injury. Always wear prtect gear during peratin. D nt cntact surface f autclave especially hatch dr withut prtective gear. Ht surface may cause serius injury. D nt pen dr during peratin when pressure engaged in the chamber Be careful ht steam when yu pen hatch dr after sterilizatin cycle. 2. Drain water and refill fresh water in the chamber after sterilizatin cycle t prevent cntaminatin. CHAPTER 3. FEATURE & ADVANTAGE LABNICS AUTOCLAVE IS... 2 Fr sterilizatin f bacteria, micrrganism and virus with steamed ht air usually at 121 C, 1.2 kgf/cm. 13 CHAPTER 7. OPERATION 7.1 Befre Operatin 1) The main vltage must crrespnd t the vltage given n the name-plate. 2) Place Autclave n the flat and level surface. 3) Cnnect steam utlet (drain valve) t silicne tubing and extend t drain sink. DO NOT REMOVE THE GROUND PRONG (THIRD PIN) (IN CASE OF 110V) FROM THE POWER CORD, OR USE AN UNGROUNDED ADAPTER. THE AUTOCLAVE REQUIRES A 3-WIRE RECEPTACLE. IF ONE IS NOT AVAILABLE, CONSULT WITH AN ELECTRICIAN FOR INSTALLATION YOUR AUTOCLAVES ARE 120VAC 60HZ OR 220VAC 50/60HZ SINGLE PHASE TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK, DO NOT OPEN THE BODY. NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE 7.2 Preparatin f Material 1) All materials must be autclavable. 2) Vessels are lsely capped. 3) Liquid cntained in a vessel is at least twice the vlume f the liquid t be autclaved. 4) All materials are placed in an autclavable tray with sides at least 4 inches high. All materials autclaved must be placed in an autclavable tray with sides that are at least 10 cm in height. The use f trays shuld eliminate anything biling ver and spilling int the autclave. Therefre, all materials must fit within this tray. Only autclavable materials may be placed in the autclave. If yu are unsure if smething is autclavable, check with the lcal distributr r cntact us directly. Liquids t be autclaved must be in an autclavable vessel that is at least twice as large as the vlume t be autclaved (i.e. If yu are autclaving 1 liter f media, yu need t put it in a flask that hld at least 2 liters). This allws fr biling during the cycle. Caps must be slightly lse s that pressure created during the cycle des nt cause the vessel t break. Fr screw cap cntainers yu can make the lid hand tight and then lsen the lid by ne-half turn. Dry gds must be placed in an autclavable tray with 10 cm sides als. Garbage must be put in autclavable bags and inside the autclavable trays with 10 cm sides. Sharps cntainers must als g int the same type f autclavable trays. T ensure prper sterilizatin f bth garbage and sharps cntainers, 1 liter f water shuld be added t the bags r sharps cntainers. This water will vaprize during the autclave cycle t allw better penetratin f steam and mre efficient sterilizatin. Autclave garbage bags must be tied ff. Warning: Use f nn-autclavable trays and cntainers may result in injury t the user and damage t the equipment

DO NOT PUT FLAMMABLE, VOLATILE OR EXPLOSIVE MATERIALS INSIDE OF THE CHAMBER 7.3 Getting Started 1) Clse Drain Valve t lck. Turn handle crss t pipeline. Drain valve is lcated in the right side panel. 2) Pur distilled water in the chamber t level f just beneath the heater prtectin cver is just immersed in the water. * Heater shuld be immersed in water at any time 3) If water level is lw LED displays alarm FILL when yu press START buttn 4) Put prepared materials int prvided basket and put basket int the autclave chamber. 5) Clse chamber dr in right psitin and fasten dr handle tightly t clckwise. 6) Clse Manual Safety Pressure Release Valve in frnt f autclave t clckwise tightly. 7) Turn circuit breaker n which lcated n the back panel. 8) Turn main pwer switch n lcated n the left side f the main cntrller. PV LED displays current temperature f the chamber. SV LED displays user set temperature (Factry default value is 121 C). Press AUTO-TUNE buttn t display time t autclave and temperature alternatively. (Factry default value is minutes)

THIS MAY CAUSE MALFUNCTION OF AUTOCLAVE 7.4 Hw t set Temperature Press MODE buttn t set the temperature. LED display panel n tp (PV) displays 'TEMP' LED display panel n bttm (SV), last digit f the LED display blink and prmpt user input. (000) Press 3buttn t mve t digit yu want change value. Press 5buttn t change value frm 0 t 9. Set three digits f temperature value yu want t perate. Factry default temperature is 121 C The maximum perating temperature is nt allwed ver 121 C 7.5 Hw t set Time Press MODE buttn after temperature set finished. LED display panel n tp (PV) displays 'Time' LED display panel n bttm (SV), last digit f the LED display blink and prmpt user input. (00.00 in mm:ss) Press 3buttn t mve t digit yu want change value. Press 5buttn t change value frm 0 t 9. Set fur digits f time yu want t perate. Yu can set timer up t 59 min 59 sec maximum. (Factry default time value is 20:00 min.) Press MODE buttn t finish timer setting 7.6 Start Sterilizatin After set temperature and time, PV LED displays current temperature f the chamber and SV LED displays time r perating temperature. Be sure all safety prcedure is finished. Press START buttn t start peratin. TIMER LAMP blinks until the current chamber temperature reaches t the user set value. When the current chamber temperature reaches t the user set value the TIMER LAMP stps blinking and starts cunt dwn. Air in the chamber is releasing t Steam Outlet until the chamber temperature reach t 105 C. At this pint Electrnic Slenid Valve autmatically lcked t increase pressure in the chamber. Refer ALL Parameter Setting t change the temperature t lck slenid valve. Temperature cntinuusly increase and stabilize until t reach 121 C. When the temperature stabilized at 121 C, timer starts cunt dwn

16 The autclave will cntinue t sterilizatin cycle until the time selected runs ut. The autclave CANNOT be pened at any reasn until the chamber pressure will slwly drp alng with the temperature. If yu want t stp sterilizatin, press STOP buttn. Autclave autmatically stp and slenid valve is pen t release pressure in the chamber. DO NOT pen the chamber dr until the pressure drp t 0 When sterilizatin time is run ut, Electrnic Slenid Valve autmatically pened t release pressure in the autclave chamber slwly. When chamber temperature cl dwn t 95 C, SV LED displays END and beeps 30 secnds. Wait until the Pressure Gauge indicates 0 (zer) D nt pen chamber dr immediately after finishing sterilizatin r END signal. TEMP PRESSURE kg/cm 121 C Alarm Limit High (ALH) 105 C Alarm Limit Lw (ALL) 2 0 kg/cm AMB. TEMP. 95 C (AOFF) START CLOSE SOLENOID VALVE TIMER RUNS UP OPEN SOLENOID VALVE SAFETY PRECAUTION HOT TIMER START COUNT DOWN END SIGNAL BEEP DURING OPERATION, ANY PART OF THE AUTOCLAVE TOUCHING THE TOP OF THE AUTOCLAVE OR COVER MAY RESULT IN SEVERE BURNING. - cause by cntact with the utside f autclave - caused by cntact when remving autclaved items - caused by cntact with pressurized steam HOT KEEP AWAY FROM AUTOCLAVE AT LEAST 50 cm during OPERATION TO PREVENT BURNING CAUSED BY LEAKAGE OF STEAM. 17 7.7 Finishing Sterilizatin SAFETY PRECAUTION Wear a lab cat, eye prtectin, heat resistant glves and clsed te shes. Once the sterilizatin cycle is cmpleted, the LED indicates END signal and beep sund fr 30 secnds and yur autclave finishing sterilizatin cycle. Check the Pressure Gauge indicating 0 (zer) D nt pen chamber dr immediately after finishing sterilizatin. Be sure t wear safety gggle and heat prtectin glves t avid direct cntact t prevent burning. Turn the MANUAL SAFETY PRESSURE RELEASE VALVE n the frnt t cunter clckwise t release pressure which may remain in the chamber fr yur safety. After cmpletely ventilated, pen the chamber dr abut ne centimeter and allw ten minutes t let the lad cl befre remving tray r basket. Open the dr and retrieve autclaved materials. HOT HOT POTENTIAL EXPOSURE TO INFECTIOUS AGENTS THROUGH EITHER AIRBORNE, DROPLET OR CONTACT TRANSMISSION AFTER COMPLETELY VENTILATED, OPEN CHAMBER DOOR ABOUT ONE CENTIMETER AND ALLOW TEN MINUTES TO LET THE LOAD COOL BEFORE REMOVING TRAY. AUTOCLAVED ITEMS ARE HOT WHEN RETRIEVING FROM THE AUTOCLAVE CHAMBER. BE SURE TO WEAR PROTECTION GLOVES AND GOGGLES. DO NOT start anther sterilizatin cycle befre temperature drp dwn t 30 C. It may cause ver 2 pressure ver 1.4 kgf/cm befre temperature reach t 121 C. 7.8 Aut-tuning AT (Aut-Tuning) functin prvides the autclave t reach the required set temperature fast and accurately. Yur autclave was aut-tuned and tested befre shipment. User d nt need t aut-tune. If parts listed belw was replaced r serviced, reset all parameters and aut-tune again. 18 Aut-Tuning Prcedure ; 1. Prcess sterilizatin prcedure same as described befre. 2. Empty autclave chamber 3. Set temperature at 121 C 4. Set time t Press START BUTTON 6. Press and hld AUTO-TUNE buttn fr 5 secnds 7. Aut-tuning starts with beep sund 8. AT INDICATION Lamp start blinks during aut-tuning 9. Aut-Tuning usually takes 30 minutes 10. Aut-tuning finish with beep sund and AT INDICATION LAMP STOP blinking. 11. Turn ff Autclave by pressing START/STOP buttn. 12. Wait until the chamber temperature drp dwn t belw. 13. Turn the MANUAL SAFETY PRESSURE RELEASE VALVE n the frnt t cunter clckwise t release pressure which may remain in the chamber fr yur safety. 14. If the pressure in the chamber cmpletely ventilated pen the chamber dr and turn ff the Main Pwer Switch. 15. Yur Autclave is aut-tuned. CHAPTER 8. SERVICE MANUAL 8.1 Draining and Refilling Water Drain Valve Open Drain Outlet Clse Steam Outlet Drain Valve Drain Outlet Befre draining, yur autclave shuld be in ambient temperature and atmsphere pressure and chamber dr shuld pened. Open the cabinet dr n the right side f the autclave Be sure t the drain utlet is cnnected t drain sink r waste basket Open the Drain valve t pen psitin (parallel t thepipe line) Drain water in the chamber cmpletely. If necessary clean the chamber Clse the Drain valve again Refill the chamber with distilled water t slightly immerse heater cver n the bttm f the chamber. DO NOT pen drain valve when pressure engaged in the chamber 8.2 Spills If there is a spill inside the autclave chamber, allw the unit t cl befre attempting t clean up the spill. If glass breaks in the autclave, use tngs, frceps r ther mechanical means t recver fragments. D nt use bare r glved hands t pick up brken glassware.
