MO KITCHEN KLATTER August 3 Take a well deserved break. The Kitchen is closed! No dance either, due to elections. August 17 It s Crazy Tee Shirts out on the dance floor, but in the Kitchen we ll be serving our regular fare. Sandwiches, snacks, chips, veggies, fruits, cakes, cookies, brownies, pie, and all kinds of desserts you know the drill! And, thank you! August 31 The end of August usually brings a sizzling heat. Let s cool off with a Watermelon and Fresh Fruits Feast. Watermelon boats, skewers with fresh fruit, fruit pizzas, fresh fruit trifles, fruit salads, fresh strawberry shortcake, Jell-O with fruit, fresh fruits and dip. Lots and lots of colorful fresh fruits to choose from!

5 PRESIDENT S MESSAGE Hi All, It s hard to believe that August is already here. We have had a great summer of dancing so far. It has been a bit on the hot side but still a great time of dancing and fellowshipping. A Big thanks to all of those who bought Homemade Ice cream and to all of those who helped serve it. There were some really great favors to choose from. We thank you. We have several visitations in August so please come and dance with us. We always try to have a great time. Help us steal the banners and retrieve our own. Mary Callen and Judy Holsted are the co-chair people for the month of September. If there some place special you are interested in dancing let them know. We now have the people to help us on the by-laws committee. The three people that have volunteered to work on that committee are Gene Arnott, Jeanne Taylor and Lois Edmiston. If you have ideas that need to be addressed by the by-law s committees please see one of these fine people and they can look at your idea to be brought before the board. Lucy James will be our hospitality committee and our sunshine person. If you know of anyone that is sick or in the hospital that would like to get a card to cheer them up, please just let Lucy or one of the board know. She will send out a card. Billy Justus still need your help with the Visitation co-chairperson spot for several different months. Each person would only have to do it for one single month. So could you please see Billy and try to help out your club with their visitation. Bill Hale is still got some open spots on his kitchen co-chairperson committee that needs your help. This is your club too. Please step up to the plate and volunteer to help out. We need your help. We don t have a dance on August 3, Due to the City of Shawnee is having an Election. We are back to our regular dance on August 17, 2010, which is the Crazy tee shirt dance with regular treat. Our Next board meeting will be August 8 at 2 PM at the Comfort Inn off of I-35 and Shawnee Drive. All of our members are welcome to come. I was happy to see so many members at our last board meeting, you are always welcome there. Hope to see you in a square and happy dancing.
