Brett Henschell said that he had heard of Mankad being done by an U14 team not U10. The U10 reference on the night was about wides being called when the batsman hit the ball and placement of fielders on the boundary instead of on the 15m markers. from Redcliffe City with complaint about QC handing out flyers advertising other cricket clubs in their area, specifically Sandgate for T20 blast in direct opposition to Super 6. Brisbane North Secretary did not receive a nomination from any club for either Award. Making it mandatory to wear helmets from next season is a great change in policy from Cricket Australia. Strongly suggest that clubs tell everyone as soon as possible. Helmets would make a great present from Santa! It will be in the rules next season and will be implemented at the state Championships this year. The October minutes will be amended to correct the error regarding U10 & U14. 4 FINANCIAL REPORT: The Treasurer is unable to attend this evening. The P&L and Balance Sheet have not been updated this month owing to the Treasurer being unable to get it done due to his work commitments. Balance of accounts as at 28 November was $27, in the Working account and $86,558 in the Business Saver. Rep player payments are starting to come in and this is making the accounts balance healthier. Qld Cricket No one from QC attended tonight. Report ed from MDO about the work that has been done last month. Report is attached to the minutes. Also attached is Graeme Power s Talent Officer Report for Oct/Nov. 2. Rep Cricket John Powell said: Trial games were successfully played last Sunday at BEARS grounds. National Cricket Centre trip by U13 & U14 players was successful and proved very popular. Impact Challenge starts next week at BBC Toowong. The U14 dev team played the U15 State girls team and it went very well. Lord Taverners may change to U18 but we have no idea if or when. 3. MyCricket Ian Rushton reminded clubs that competition points will be stripped for teams who do not put in their results and the player stats into MyCricket. A full listing of teams who lost points for Round 2 is attached. It was also highlighted that where day 2 of a game was a washout, the officials should enter into MyCricket the stats that were recorded from day 1 and part of day 2 as it all counts towards a players stats. 4. QJC QJC 31 Oct meeting was attended by Ian Reeves, as Secretary. QJC will continue to run U12-U15 Championships. U16 will no longer exist for Brisbane North. The U16 Qld country zones (excluding MSW, Brisbane North Junior Cricket Association, Gold Coast & BEARS ) will play at Mackay at the Brisbane North Junior Cricket Association Inc. Page 4 of 8

5 same time as the U16 Championship normally were held. BN have been advised that we will be contacted by QC to talk about the future of the u16 players. Nothing has happened yet. February 2016 meeting of the QJC will decide where the Championships for U12-U15 will be held. 5. Draw Bruce said there were no major concerns last month. One game at Deception Bay Sports was moved after the ground was made unavailable for cricket. Ashgrove 2 & 3 games on 21 & 28 Nov to start earlier due to District cricket start times. Asbestos removal at Geebung SS on 5 Dec. U11 Langer game moved to Bracken Ridge SS. 6. Secretary contact Secretary requested Delegates speak to club members about the appropriate process for getting information. Secretary and his wife are losing patience with getting phone calls from 6.30am through to 9.30pm, 7 days a week from coaches/managers/parents asking questions about basic rules, substitute players, grass cutting on ovals, type of ball a team should use, how to input results into MyCricket, requesting I contact the opposition and advise them of a forfeit or telling me about behaviour of players and/or coaches and managers. All these types of questions either have procedures in place to follow, or must to go to Club personnel in the first instance and not to the BN Secretary. Sometimes it does appear as if Club personnel are avoiding their responsibilities and are directing any questions or complaints from club people directly to the BN Secretary with no apparent attempt to either read a rule book first, look at a published policy or guideline or follow clear dispute processes to sort out a concern themselves. Round the table Glyn Netto Nomination date for Post Xmas is on the website Calendar of Events. Ian Rushton Ovals 3 & 4 have manhole covers near the boundary and we are talking to Unity Water & Parks about covering them for safety reasons. Scott Hawkins LBW is not being played by U11 teams. U9/U8 combined Saturday teams had some problems with ability. John Martin Earlier Sign on worked well from Toombul s viewpoint. Timeliness of information handout is always a problem as rarely do they get coaches together. LBW is a problem for U11 & U12 and suggested that a YouTube video on LBW would help. All games from Round 2 have now also been locked.
