Each member and substitute f the Glfview Hills Men s Glf League hereby agree t hld harmless and indemnify (including fr attrney s fees and csts) the Glfview Hills Men s Glf League, its fficers and vlunteers, frm any and all claims fr injury t a member r substitute arising ut f r related t their membership and/r participatin in the Glfview Hills Men s Glf League as a member r substitute, and the playing f any rund f glf related t, assciated with r spnsred by the Glfview Hills Men s League. THE TEAM GAME - weekly head-t-head cmpetitin between 4 teams f 4 members each. There 4 runds with a Psitin Night at the end f each rund. Team prizes are awarded fr each rund as well as fr seasn champins. The league plays frm the WHITE tees. Members play 9 hles in the fursme with their ppnent fr team pints per the published schedule. The first twsme may tee ff as much as 15 minutes befre the published tee time when the Starter allws. Full fursmes then tee ff in published sequence as the Starter releases them regardless f time. An incmplete fursme must wait fr all their players until the published start time at which time they will tee ff in the next slt. An incmplete fursme tees ff in their published sequence after the published start time. SCORING is based n NET scres (as shwn n the WEEKLY RESULTS) as fllws: Medal Play - 2 POINTS fr LOW NET (1 POINTS each if halved) + 1 POINT fr each net strke difference (MAX f 6) Match Play - 2 POINTS fr EACH HOLE WON (1 pint fr each halved hle) Average - 2 POINTS fr BEATING yur slpe adjusted league AVERAGE (1 pint fr tying average) A PLAYER IS LATE after the published start time when his fursme has cleared the tee bx and the next 4-sme begins teeing ff. A LATE PLAYER lses all Medal pints. He may play remaining hles fr Match pints after jining his fursme where they are n the curse. N pints fr beating average. PLAYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CALLING A SUB IF UNABLE TO PLAY and infrming their captain by Tuesday t tell him wh is subbing. Call yur ppnent r captain if yu are nt cming (and frfeiting) r will be late s the rest f the fursme knws yur status and can prceed t tee ff r will wait until the published first tee time if will be late. IF NO PLAYER OR SUBSTITUTE ARRIVES TO PLAY - - ALL ABSENT PLAYER S POINTS ARE LOST. The present player wins as fllws: Medal Play - 8 POINTS autmatically Match Play - 2 pints fr NET PAR n each hle Plus 2 POINTS fr BEATING yur slpe adjusted league AVERAGE (1 pint fr tying average) Any SUBSTITUTE n the Rster having established a league handicap (2 runds 6 runds fr QUOTA) r having a USGA handicap (with a card) can sub and he can play ONLY FOR THE PLAYER WHO PREARRANGED fr him t play. He will then PAY HIS GREEN FEE ($21 n #1 & #3 and $32 n #2) t Tm Dymit r Wayne Dunham wh cllects and transfers these fees. NO SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS TO WAVE FEES. A PLAYER WHO IS ABSENT 3 OR MORE TIMES WITHOUT A SUB OR MISSES MORE THAN 50% OF SCHEDULED MATCHES, will have his playing status REVIEWED BY THE LEAGUE COMMITTEE OF CAPTAINS and, depending n circumstances, he may be terminated and be replaced by the next available applicant. YOUR TEAM NEEDS YOU. THE QUOTA POT -- Players can participate in the weekly cash prize QUOTA game by cmmitting t the seasn fr $80 fr 16 runds (nt turnaments). Anticipated pt is $80 each week if all play. Substitutes may chse t be in the Quta if they have a league established handicap (6 cmpetitive runds) and cmmit fr the full year, then are respnsible t pay $5.00 t Tm Dymit r Wayne Dunham whenever they are present. Late player is nt eligible t win. SUBTRACT YOUR HANDICAP FROM 18 t determine YOUR QUOTA Pints are awarded fr GROSS SCORE n each hle as fllws: BOGIE = 1 PAR = 2 BIRDIE = 4 EAGLE = 8 DOUBLE BOGEY = 0 TRIPLE BOGEY OR MORE = -1 Player wh MOST EXCEEDS his quta wins $40, 2nd gets $25 and 3rd gets $15 if all members subscribe. If nly 2 are ver quta they split $50 / $ A single winner wins the whle pt - ties split the psitin winnings. If nbdy is ver quta, mney in the pt rlls t the fllwing week's quta pt and duble payuts.

2 LEAGUE RULES The 2019 USGA Rules f Glf fr strke play gverns all play except fr LEAGUE LOCAL RULES. Get an up-t-date RULE BOOK s we all are playing by the same rules. Play all strkes (n cncessins f hles r strkes). - PUTT OUT - NO GIMMIES, n pick-ups yur scre WILL affect all participants the in Quta. THE CAPTAINS COMMITTEE (Captains - A-player r B-player if captain is absent) makes any decisins regarding league play BUT HAS NO RESPONSIBILITY IN SETTLING RULE DISPUTES. When a questin f RULE INTERPRETATION ccurs while playing, play a secnd ball fr that hle (per USGA Rules f Glf ) then, after the rund, find a rule bk and crrect the scre fr the hle accrdingly with ppnent s agreement. RAIN RULE majrity f the CAPTAINS COMMITTEE may cancel league play if the curse is deemed unplayable fr any reasn, r authrize lift, clean, and place in the fairway in extremely wet cnditins. Cancelatins are nt replayed. Players must RECORD ALL STROKES, then INITIAL the OFFICIAL CARD after CHECKING and AGREEING t the hle by hle GROSS scres (immediately after the 9 th hle) RETURN CARDS TO THE SCORER (Larry Pitts r Tm Dymit) PLACE IN THE CONTAINER ON THE 10 TH TEE. Disputes must be reslved befre psting. N crrectins will be made n an attested scre OR UNINTIALED card after it is psted. NO CARD -- NO POINTS OR QUOTA MONEY NO EXCUSES! CELL PHONES must be n SILENT OR VIBRATE (n ringing). NO CALLS are allwed except in an EMERGENCY and then nly after a hle is cmpleted by the fursme and befre the next tee. Walk away while talking quietly. Limit time n the phne and remind ne anther nt t talk while thers are playing. HOLE IN ONE RULE -- If any glfer (member r alternate) has a Hle-In-One during any league play, turnament, r ther cmpetitin, each player in the event (member r alternate) will pay $25 t a prize fr the player making the Hle In One. When playing ff curse as a grup functin this rule applies nly t glfers playing the event. LEAGUE LOCAL RULES: NO BALL HUNTING 3 MINUTES SEARCH LIMIT, avid delaying play. PLAY READY GOLF Play all OUT OF BOUNDS r LOST BALLS as a LATERAL HAZARD (red stakes) (drp within 2 club lengths frm where yur ball crssed the HAZARD MARGIN r was last seen - add 1 penalty strke). Give up the ball - it s lst, prbably can t be hit anyway. If yu find it in the wds, yu must play it frm where yu find it (r within 2 clubs fr a 1 strke penalty) 4th HOLE ON COURSE 2 Always play the right green unless the hle is clsed by Cg Hill. 5th HOLE ON COURSE 2 is played as a Par 5 fr Quta FROM 5/1/19 thru 5/29/19 play LIFT, CLEAN, & PLACE anywhere n the curse except in hazards. FULL HANDICAP is used fr STROKE play maximum difference f 16 between players is used fr MATCH play. TOURNAMENTS: All players (members and substitutes) wh play in a turnament are entered and can win prizes $250 pt. Substitutes must pay an entry fee based n the prize fund (fr instance $15 fr an event with a ttal payut f $250). All league members are required t pay the league fees BEFORE cmpetitin begins May 1. Members wh resign frm the league during the seasn will pay fr all runds and Quta which are scheduled until a permanent substitute replaces him. DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES may be used but must be shared with ppnents during play. RELIEF is allwed in an unrepaired divt, unraked ftprints in sand (rake and place), deep tire tracks in the fairway, r ther negligent COURSE DAMAGE. Play as grund under repair. Drp n the direct line t the flag behind where ball entered water (crssing a 2 nd time) hitting 3. LATERAL WATER -- (red stakes) drp ball 2 club lengths frm ENTRY POINT r equidistant pint n ther bank - nt clser t hle (r ptin 2 abve). Add 1 penalty strke prir t each additinal strke. UNPLAYABLE LIE (yu may declare anytime and anyplace) add 1 penalty strke -- 3 ptins: 1.) Drp ball within 2 club lengths but nt clser t hle (in bunker - must remain in bunker), r 2.) Drp n the direct line t the flag behind where ball lies, r 3.). Play anther ball frm the riginal spt, (nt recmmended fr ur league) Immvable OBSTRUCTION that interferes with swing r stance (cart path, fence, building, etc. but nt trees, rcks r interference with ball flight) -- mve ball t within 1 club length clear f bstructin but nt clser t hle. REMEMBER: 2 STROKE PENALTY fr PLAYING WRONG BALL -- IMPROVING YOUR LIE -- HITTING ANOTHER BALL WHEN n the PUTTING GREEN 1 STROKE PENALTY fr MOVING A BALL unless by accident - WATER r LOST BALL (ur rule) - UNPLAYABLE LIE

3 LIGHTNING RULE PLEASE READ WE DON T WANT ANYONE HIT BY LIGHTNING - SO WATCH THE SKY DURING STORMY WEATHER and take cver in a SAFE PLACE if necessary. Cg Hill des nt have a lightning warning system. NOTE: IT IS NEVER SAFE TO RIDE A CART OR WALK INTO THE CLUBHOUSE IN A LIGHTNING STORM - WAIT IT OUT - THE STORM ALWAYS PASSES EVENTUALLY. Lightning is, f curse, bad news. USGA Rule 6-8 gives any player the right t stp when he believes there is danger frm lightning. He desn t need t cnsult with his ppnents, r the Cmmittee. Each glfer must determine whether HE feels that lightning is near enugh t threaten HIM and respnd accrdingly. When lightning is a threat - TAKE COVER IN A SHELTER r preferably in the HALFWAY HOUSE r a bathrm. Wait at least 30 minutes fr lighting t pass. Resume play ONLY IF and WHEN BOTH ppnents AGREE that it is SAFE t resume. If either player desn t finish because f cntinuing danger frm lightning after the 30 minute wait, pints are scred nly n hles bth players cmplete. If lightning desn t subside within 30 minutes the match is ver - scre will be recrded based n the last cmpleted hle (minimum f 4 hles) fr bth lw net and hles wn. Whenever n fursmes can finish, the CAPTAINS COMMITTEE WILL DETERMINE HOW MANY HOLES ARE OFFICIAL after cmpletin f the rund and all scres revert accrdingly. RAIN - Since there is n way t anticipate curse cnditins until we arrive at the curse each player must cme ut, a weather frecast isn t sufficient t predict the curse cnditins. In the case f threatening r inclement weather, r unplayable curse cnditins, the league COMMITTEE f captains will DECIDE at the curse befre the first tee time whether t play, mst likely we wn t start if it is raining. If rain starts during the curse f play, every effrt shuld be made t cntinue play until the curse becmes unplayable r lightning becmes a threat. If a player decides t stp due t rain his ppnent must play the full nine hles t win. If a player desn t wish t play in rain, they will frfeit. Nte: The Rules f Glf prvide fr pstpnement f a match nly in the case f a threat f lightning stating Bad weather is nt f itself a gd reasn fr discntinuing play. PLEASE DO WHAT YOU CAN TO SPEED UP PLAY & KEEP PACE While yu may think yu are nly planning t play 9 hles, thers may wish t be able t play 18 befre dark T speed up ur pace f play all glfers shuld attempt t play 9 hles in 2 hurs r less and 18 hles in 4 hurs r less. If everyne cnsciusly makes an effrt t be ready when it is his turn and keep mving all will enjy the game mre. The fllwing is a guide t hw yu can help speed things up. PLAN YOUR SHOT WHILE OTHERS ARE HITTING - IF NOT READY TO HIT, ASK SOMEONE ELSE TO HIT DON T SIT IN YOUR CART WAITING FOR OTHERS TO HIT - DROP YOUR PARTNER AT HIS BALL THEN GO TO YOURS PARK BETWEEN YOURS AND HIS PARK CART AT BACK OF GREEN SO FOLLOWING PLAYERS AREN T WAITING FOR YOU TO MOVE PUTT OUT AFTER MAKING YOUR FIRST PUTT WHEN YOU CAN - DON T RE-MARK SHORT PUTTS HIT YOUR SHOT BEFORE HELPING OTHERS LOOK FOR THEIR BALL THEY MAY FIND IT WATCH WHERE YOUR SHOTS GO - AND WATCH WHERE YOUR PARTNER S SHOTS GO CARRY ALL NECESSARY CLUBS TO YOUR BALL WEDGE, CHIPPER, PUTTER, ETC. BE AWARE WHEN YOUR GROUP FALLS BEHIND BE CONSCIOUS OF THE FOLLOWING TIMING ON A PAR 4 - BE DONE TEEING OFF WHEN THE GROUP AHEAD IS WALKING OFF THE GREEN ON A PAR 3 - ARRIVE AT THE TEE WHEN THE GROUP AHEAD IS WALKING OFF THE GREEN ON A PAR 5-1 GROUP SHOULD BE ON THE TEE, 1 ON THE FAIRWAY, & 1 LEAVING GREEN DON T HUNT FOR LOST BALLS - MOST OFTEN YOU CAN T HIT IT FROM THAT LOCATION ANYHOW MOVE, MOVE, MOVE - IF YOU AREN T DOING THESE THINGS, YOU ARE HOLDING UP PLAY AND YOU ARE THE PROBLEM

4 NEW 2019 RULES per the USGA When taking a drp, must drp the ball frm KNEE height. N penalty fr a ball mving n the putting green fr any reasn, just replace it (even if accidently hit with a practice swing). N penalty fr the ball hitting the flagstick when n the green. N penalty fr a duble hit. N penalty fr grunding club r remving lse impediments in a hazard, can practice swing and hit grass (can t tuch sand when practicing in sand). May repair any damage n the green including spike marks and can tuch line f play if nt imprving cnditins. Can call a ball unplayable anytime in a bunker fr 1 strke, can drp utside the bunker fr 2 strke penalty, still n penalty when mving frm casual water. Can remve lse impediments in a bunker An embedded ball anywhere n the curse can be lifted and cleaned, drp within 1 club nt clser t the hle. Can remve lse impediments in a bunker. N hnrs, n waiting fr searchers, play ready glf. (3 minutes fr search) A damaged club can cntinue t be used r repaired.

5 SUBSTITUTES: League substitutes understand that they are bliged t agree t the fllwing: Substitutes must arrive at the first tee befre 2:45 (2:30 in 3 rd & 4 th rund) s they can find Tm Dymit r Wayne Dunham t pay their green fee and pay the Quta fee (if in the Quta) befre thse guys tee ff. Then they need t register with the starter and lcate their ppnent fr the day t make cart arrangements. They shuld already have paid fr their cart inside. Substitutes (new players) must establish a handicap by playing tw 9-hle runds with the league befre they are eligible t substitute fr a regular player. They must have 6 cmpetitive runds t be eligible t cmpete in the QUOTA game r any f the turnaments. A legitimate USGA handicap will be accepted until a league handicap is established and a new alternate with a USGA handicap is eligible t play as a sub and in turnaments. April 10, 17 &24 are the days fr new players and substitutes t establish a handicap by playing 18 hles and they are encuraged t d s then because it becmes very difficult t fit them in after the schedule begins. Substitutes are eligible t play and win prizes in league turnaments if they pay an entry fee t be determined based n the prize fund (fr instance $15 fr an event with a ttal payut f $300). Any substitutes wh wishes t play in an event is autmatically in and must pay the entry fee. Substitutes must decide at the beginning f the seasn whether they will be in the QUOTA. If they are in, they are respnsible t find and pay $5.00 t Tm Dymit r Wayne Dunham each time they cme t play. Delinquent fees will be added t future greens fees and/r deducted frm any winnings. Substitutes are REQUIRED TO PAY GREEN FEES each time they play ($21.00 curses 1 & 3 and $32.00 curse 2). They are expected t find Tm Dymit r Wayne Dunham (befre teeing ff) wh will cllect this amunt and distribute it t the apprpriate member when they return.
