Please note our policy while there is lightning nearby. For the safety of our members and their guests, when lightning is within a 5 mile radius, the siren will sound letting everyone on the premises know that the course and pool will be closed at that time. Everyone must leave the course and pool area once the siren has been sounded. The clubhouse is your safe haven. Jeans, cutoffs, gym shorts, and tee shirts are not allowed. Tennis shoes and golf shoes with soft spikes are appropriate. We also encourage a no cell phone policy in the clubhouse. Cell phone use is acceptable outside of the clubhouse and in the locker rooms. 8 Club News A message from Lauren Fox: Dear Brickyard Members, I ve had the great pleasure of meeting and getting to know each of you during my time at the Brickyard working as the Membership Director and in the golf shop. I have made the difficult decision to leave my position at the Brickyard and spend a little time being a stay at home mother to my 2 year old son before moving on to future endeavors. My time at the Brickyard has been amazing, and I will be forever grateful that I had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. Thank you all for the memories and experiences and I look forward to seeing you all sometime again! We would like to welcome our new Assistant Golf Professional Blair Mitchell! Blair was born and raised in Dublin, Ga. He started in the sport at 10 years old with the guidance of his grandfather. He started as a cart attendant at Reynolds Plantation where he decided to actively pursue a career as a Golf Professional. He is a graduate of Middle Georgia College and in 2010, moved to Augusta where he worked at Augusta Country Club. In his 7 years there, he ran ladies clinics, helped host tournaments, and managed summer golf camps. In July, he moved to Charleston where he was the 2nd Assistant Golf Professional at Rivertowne Country Club. He quickly realized that the private sector of the golf industry is where he belongs. When he is not working, he enjoys playing golf with friends, watching movies, and playing poker. He is very excited to be here and believes that the Brickyard Golf Club is a perfect fit to continue his PGM education! A message from Victoria Hugghins: As you all know by now, I have taken a position with Mizuno working in their golf department. I want to thank each and every member here for making these past 2 years a truly great time for me. I have grown so much personally, as well as professionally, and I could not be more thankful for the experiences that I ve had. Thank you all for bearing with me in the tough times and for celebrating with me in the good times! I hope that I have made half as big of an impact on each of you as you have made on me. I will be forever grateful for the people I have met and the lessons I have learned in my time here and I will truly miss seeing you all every day. We would like to congratulate Larry Simpson on his promotion to Food and Beverage Manager!! The food and beverage department is growing and he is excited to take on this new challenge! He has introduced new menus items such as the Ultimate Grilled Cheese, Philly Cheese Steak, and Brisket Nachos which are available now! He has also added some new faces to his staff. We would we like to welcome three new servers: Valencia, Rita, and Ashari to the Brickyard family! 7
