Leong Stewards conducted a number of stable inspections of trainer s with runners engaged at today s meeting as part of the Compliance Assurance raceday activities and no breaches of the rules were detected. RACE 1: WESTSPEED PLATE M ORBIT THE SUN (Joseph Azzopardi) Raced wide throughout. Lay inwards in the straight with the rider electing to use the whip in his left hand from the 150m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with minor lacerations to both hind legs. TWO EYE SEE (Peter Hall) Commenced awkwardly. Unable to obtain a clear run in the straight. CYBERPUNK (Shaun O'Donnell) Commenced slowly. Lay outwards approaching the 600m and steadied. Bumped approaching the 200m and impeded for clear running over the final 100m. ROCKET QUEEN (Jerry Noske) Shifted inwards and bumped approaching the 200m. Impeded for clear running over the final 100m. SECRET DOUBT (Brad Parnham) Raced wide throughout. Raced greenly in the early stages. THEORIZE (Steven Parnham) Lay inwards over the final 200m and was impeded for a clear run over the final 100m. RACE 2: WESTSPEED HANDICAP M LIBERTY RISE (Troy Turner) Lay inwards momentarily and made contact with another runner approaching the 500m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. DIRECT APPROACH (Lucas Camilleri) Trainer Mr G. Poletti advised that he would instruct the rider to have the gelding ridden in a rearward position and public announcements were made regarding this and were released on the RWWA Twitter account. Bounded on jumping and got its head in the air shortly after. Over-raced in the early stages, getting its head in the air. Raced wide throughout. Trainer advised that the gelding may have been unsuited to racing in a

2 ASCOT: /2 Race 2 continued rearward position and he would in future have DIRECT APPROACH race more prominently in future. ASS 'N' GLAM (Kyra Yuill) Raced keenly through the middle stages. LONG POCKETS (Ben Paterson) Slow to begin. TESTA FORTE (Willie White) Raced wide throughout. APRICITY (Craig Staples) Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. Held tight momentarily near the 500m and made contact with another runner. ORATORIO'S PRIDE (Jake Casey) Raced wide throughout. RACE 3: TABTOUCH MOBILE APP HANDICAP M STAR CITY BOY (Mitchell Pateman) Raced wide on straightening. ROCK CITY (Shelby Bowtell) Impeded for clear running at the 150m and angled inwards for clear running. HAZZABEEL (NZ) (Paul Harvey) A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr S. Miller advised he will monitor gelding and advise of any abnormalities in the ensuing days. He further stated that the gelding may have got its tongue over the bit and as a result had choked down. He would now equip HAZZABEEL with a tongue tie to prevent a recurrence at its next start. STARKLE (Brad Parnham) Approaching the 500m mis-strode. When questioned rider advised that when passing the 500m and improving into the race, his mount had mis-strode for no apparent reason and lost ground. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. HEART SHOW (Jerry Noske) Raced wide on straightening. SHADES OF RIO (Jason Brown) Slow into stride. Raced keenly through the early and middle stages. PROFOUND EFFECT (Troy Turner) Raced wide throughout. RACE 4: PERTH ICE WORKS HANDICAP M A track inspection in the area where STARKLE (B. Parnham) had mis-strode was done prior to beginning of this race and nothing untoward on the surface of the track could be found that could have resulted in the gelding mis-striding through this area and the track was deemed safe to proceed with the balance of the meeting. CONFUSING (Steven Parnham) Commenced awkwardly and bumped. BULL'S EXPRESS (William Pike) Approaching the 600m the gelding had started to lose ground on the balance of the field and despite being hard ridden with the hands and heels and the whip in an attempt to have the gelding stay in touch with the field, it continued to yield ground with the rider under the impression that something maybe amiss, ease the gelding down. A veterinary examination of the unplaced gelding revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr L. Luciani advised that he would have the gelding undergo a full veterinary examination and advise Stewards of any abnormality that may be found. FRESHMAN (Jarrad Noske) Raced wide from the 700m. THE LADIES CHOICE (Emma Stent) Raced wide throughout. TRADEUP (Joseph Azzopardi) Commenced awkwardly.

3 ASCOT: /3 Race 4 continued MYSTIC DUST (Craig Staples) Impeded for clear running over the final 100m with the rider being held tight and having to steady his mount approaching the 50m. General: Stewards inquired into the reasons for MYSTIC DUST (Craig Staples) having to steady his mount approaching the 50m. It was established that CONFUSING (Steven Parnham) had shifted outwards over the final 100m when being hard ridden which resulted in the above interference. Jockey S. Parnham was reprimanded under AR.137(a) for careless riding and was advised that in similar circumstances, he must stop and straighten his mount so as not to cause interference to other runners. RACE 5: SEACORP HANDICAP M BANGKOK EXPRESS (Jordan Turner) Raced fiercely through the early and middle stages. BELLS TOWER (Jason Brown) - Trainer Mr J. Taylor advised that he would instruct the rider to have the gelding ridden in a mid-field position with cover and public announcements were made regarding this and were released on the RWWA Twitter account. Angled outwards approaching the 250m for clear running. SEEKER (Jason Whiting) Raced wide on straightening. CARDUP LEGEND (Emma Stent) Raced wide until obtaining the lead approaching the 500m. RADIO BERLIN (Paul Harvey) Tightened and steadied shortly after the start. Impeded from clear running from on straightening to the 150m. BLACK QUEEN (Jerry Noske) - Lay inwards in the straight and when approaching the 150m angled outwards for clear running and steadied shortly after. MONEY WISE (Mitchell Pateman) Commenced awkwardly and veered outwards at the start. BLACK GRAPE (Jake Casey) Slow to begin. RACE 6: WESTSPEED HANDICAP M GENEROUS CHOICE (Mitchell Pateman) Commenced awkwardly. Shifted inwards shortly after the start. Impeded from clear running from on straightening until angled outwards approaching the 200m for clear running. MAIN INSTIGATOR (Kyra Yuill) - Over-raced through the early and middle stages., getting its head in the air on several occasions. REGAL COMMANDER (William Pike) Impeded for a short distance from on straightening until approaching the 200m. AMACHISIT (Jarrad Noske) Slow to begin. KENNOCHA (Joseph Azzopardi) Lay inwards passing the 200m. SKY KICK (Shelby Bowtell) Lay inwards approaching the 250m for a short distance. KAKARA (Troy Turner) Commenced awkwardly and was steadied from heels shortly after losing ground. UNIVERSAL MOON (Patrick Carbery) Over-raced through the early and middle stages. Raced wide from the 500m. RACE 7: DANMAR HOMES HANDICAP M MISS RADLER (Joseph Azzopardi) was withdrawn by Stewards at 4.43p.m. when the rider was examined by ambulance officers after being stung on the eyelid by a bee and was declared unfit to ride. As a result the start of this race was delayed approximately 10 minutes. Stewards

PINS PERHAPS (NZ) (Ben Paterson) Raced ungenerously through the early and middle stages. Impeded for clear running on straightening and angled inwards shortly after. JEWEL OF DENMARK (Jason Brown) Raced wide throughout. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. NEWS FLASH (Lucas Camilleri) Raced wide throughout. Gear Change: GONDIGGIN bar shoe off near side front RACE 8: MYER HANDICAP M The start of this race was delayed to start at 5.20p.m. due to the previous incident involving Apprentice J. Azzopardi requiring medical treatment. WORLD DOMINATION (Jordan Turner) - Commenced awkwardly, getting its head in the air and lost ground. STEEL ALMIGHTY (Jason Whiting) Raced wide throughout. RANCHO MAN (Troy Turner) Raced keenly throughout. Raced wide for the majority. STATE FORM (Jerry Noske) Rider fumbled her whip approaching the 150m. ZERO TO SIXTY (Shelby Bowtell) Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. PUT UP YOUR DUKES (William Pike) A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr A. Durrant s representative advised that he will monitor the recovery of the gelding and advise Stewards of any abnormalities in the ensuing days.
