JIM S JOURNAL SEPTEMBER 16 TH, 2018 RACE #1 2 DANCING DOLL 4 MARITIME BREEZE 5 ANONYMOUSLY 3 PRINCESS FABIANA DIAMOND GOLD a debut runner for Paul Mouttet competes for Jamie Attard and has had a number of work partners and has prepped both on Tapeta and the training track getting ready; she is by, You Luckie Mann, a stakes winner as a two and three year old and she is from a dam who was a sixteen time winner; she was an auction purchase and will debut here at five furlongs from the rail. DANCING DOLL had wasted speed in her opener in June; second time out, she had a fast work in preparation for that return and took a quieter approach in the early furlongs; she was intent on getting off the rail but could not do so; she eventually stayed inside and finished an improved third; for this third start on a comeback of two weeks she adds blinkers. PRINCESS FABIANA a homebred for Terra Farms is by Cairo Prince, a significant stakes winner as a two year old and this one is from a dam who won as a juvenile and has produced a couple of winners; she goes for Kevin Attard and worked with Sutherland aboard September 9 th in 47.4 MARITIME BREEZE had a peak race second time out at five furlongs when third and that race gives her some standing here; she then had a significant failure August 4 th ; in a comeback race at seven furlongs August 22 nd she was traveling too quickly in the middle stages with a second quarter in 22.4 and she understandably faltered out of the money; shortening to five furlongs should be a big help. ANONYMOUSLY was very slow to come out of the gate in an August 18 th opener at low odds in a straight $40,000 claiming race; she was hard used to rush up inside and be part of the challenge and finished a distant second in that race; she has had an opportunity for two works in September getting ready to move up into a tougher category here. PEGGY S COVE an auction purchase will debut here for David Rowbothan and Partners 2; she is by a Grade 1 winning sprinter at Saratoga and had early speed in her work September 2 nd from the gate in company in 36bg getting ready; she has since worked a half mile getting set for Jim Ensom. RACE #2 2 SHE CALLS IT 4 MUSKOKA SUZIE 1 BANANA RAMA 3 DANCING HORIZON BANANA RAMA debuted back in July for Bill Tharrenos and was close to the opposition only early when facing the boys; she was finally a distant last; she has been moved to the stable of John Charalambous and has had three works since the middle of August getting ready for this comeback and preps have been in good clockings. SHE CALLS IT a debut runner for Mike De Paulo was an auction purchase and is by, Giant Gizmo; this one is from a dam who could both sprint and route; she has had lots of preps many coming in company and some in good clockings getting set. DANCING HORIZON an auction purchase by, Silent Name, will debut here for Reade Baker who did win with a juvenile on Wednesday; this one has primarily been stationed on the training track for works getting ready and posted her fastest time September 9 th in MUSKOKA SUZIE a debut runner for Mark Casse was a local auction purchase and is by, Court Vision, and is from a, Smart Strike, dam who was from a good family; early speed is indicated and she has worked five furlongs on three consecutive occasions MY TRUE BREW a homebred for Joe Pirone by, Milwaukee Brew, is traveling only six furlongs here and has recorded a series of preps in average clockings both on Tapeta and the training track CALL ME MRS. G a debut runner for Santino DiPaola is by, Spaniard, a speed source and this one was an auction purchase; she worked on the training track September 1 st going a quick half in 48.3 and then was on Tapeta for a gate work September 8 th with some positive notes in 49bg. SHOWBIZ LADY debuted August 31 st for Mike Mattine at seven furlongs and had significant speed until deep into the race and then faltered against a key winner; she gets to shorten to six furlongs and Hernandez is sticking with her. RACE #3 3 HEYDON S CASE 1 ADIOS MUCHACHO 5 DAVKA 6 MARCUS ADIOS MUCHACHO used the out of the money finish on turf to Tapeta angle August 5 th for a wake up performance in second and is using it again here after an out of the money finish by a wide margin last time; now he drops for $20,000 with Hernandez taking over. WHERE S THE GOLD had many opportunities but often ended on the edges and that was the case August 26 th when he rallied from thirteenth to be third beaten less than a length; he attracted a claim by Preston Ferris and goes for twice the price here. HEYDON S CASE matched his career best performance rating August 26 th when he won at seven furlongs by moving between runners and to the inside to get up in time under Contreras at generous odds; to help adjust going against non winners of two; he gets to drop for half the price. BAY OF RUN responded very well in his previous event on turf for maiden $20,000 making all the pace on turf; most recently, he had post thirteen on turf and didn t have the same level of production. DAVKA had an awkward break from the gate when dropped in for $20,000 last time and he ran from last and was finally sixth beaten five lengths with an inside move; he now goes for Norm McKnight who has waited the appropriate time to bring him back at the same evaluation; indicates a couple of half mile works MARCUS ran so much better last time at a route when plunged in to this level after he left an out of the money finish on turf; he now shortens all the way to seven furlongs hoping to build on that last good race. RARE APPEAL had a good route two starts ago but for just $9,500 on a wake up and didn t reproduce it last time.

JIM S JOURNAL SEPTEMBER 16 TH, 2018 RACE #4 3 SILENT POET 4 ROYAL LASER 6 ESKIMINZIN 5 BE VEWY VEWY QUIET TIMESKIP was on the turf recently at six and a half furlongs in a maiden contest and streaked from the outside through the lane to be second narrowly beaten; the winner moved before he did; he comes back on a tight timeframe with Alderson now aboard to try a mile on turf against Ontario sire company; he competes for Wallace Standardbreds. CARMENOOTZ had a strong wake up run second time out when he moved to turf and came from far back in the stretch to win with a devastating kick at long odds; most recently, he went a mile on yielding terrain and did not act well and faltered; he comes right back at a mile and has had positive interim prepping. SILENT POET loves turf but a mile is the big question; he comes off his third lifetime win August 25 th and that came at just six furlongs with lasix added at 3-5; his connections were content to run him a mile and a quarter earlier and so perhaps today s distance is reachable. ROYAL LASER has developed nicely on turf the past while with a runner up finish two starts ago against a rallier; she then took a win when defeating a tough older rivals last time who moved too late; his dam has produced three turf winners from as many tries on grass; he gets to come right back at the winning distance of his last race; he has had an interim prep in 1.02 for Sid Attard. BE VEWY VEWY QUIET had a good race in the Bold Ruckus at six furlongs on turf but couldn t gain as well as anticipated against, Eskiminzin, and settled for second; he had a complete letdown in the recent King Corrie against an extra fast top pair; he gets back to turf here and must travel a mile. ESKIMINZIN is a two time stakes winner; he won at six furlongs on grass in the Bold Ruckus and most recently in the Breeders Stakes he chased the pace of the front running winner and stayed on to be fourth; he runs a half mile shorter here. SILVER SHERIFF received a perfect winning ride from Chris Husbands in his opener; second time out he switched over to Tapeta and did not have a good result and now gets back to the grass. RACE #5 1 POLAR LIGHT 2 EXAMINER 6 MR. CHEERFUL 7 THEREGOESJOJO POLAR LIGHT a son of, Kitten s Joy, showed potential on turf when returning for a belated seasonal bow in July; a comeback race left him second at a route in a race where blinkers were added; he looks to be a logical one to shorten to seven furlongs; Hernandez rides. EXAMINER had a good race first time out July 27 th on the turf at Ellis Park when closing belatedly; he had been prepared at Keeneland for that event; he has been back there for interim workout activity and now comes here for this second start for Ben Colebrook; Oisin Murphy rides. DETROIT STEEL had a good race at six and a half furlongs on turf two starts ago when rallying only to be victimized at the last moment by another who closed better; most recently, he rated behind runners and once he found some freedom in the stretch he closed only mildly. PEACOCK KITTEN is a second representative here of, Kitten s Joy, and this one goes for Kenneth and Sarah Ramsey and trainer Michael Maker; he looks to have stamina but will travel just seven furlongs here in this opener on grass. HOWZAT offered aggressive early positioning last time but again faltered out of the money; he has had a fast interim work on the training track and now goes to turf for the initial time. MR. CHEERFUL tried turf immediately in his career debut year at Saratoga but wasn t good enough then; a couple of subsequent races here left him on the edges at best; he gets his first start of the year in this spot and was at the Casse training center earlier and did have training on the grass at Saratoga before relocating here for a couple of Tapeta works for this return. THEREGOESJOJO is by, English Channel, and running on turf should be natural for him; his best race came on the grass July 21 st when he reached up and finished fourth despite missing the break; he then experimented with a two turn race on Tapeta last time where he was eighth beaten eleven lengths; he has since worked well on turf in PAPA D was on turf last time and finished a rallying third with a move outside against a smart winner; he goes a furlong farther. STUDIO B is a big leggy individual who was wanting more room than the six furlongs on turf provided him first time out but he finished in the show spot; the runner up has come back to win; he gets more room here. RACE #6 5 FIRST VICTORY 4 CHESTERMERE 6 TRUTH SERUM 9 TWICEASLUCKY KING OF THE COURT attracted a claim July 8 th when dropped down; he competed over a surface that looked to be too firm for him on that occasion; he makes his way back here for new interests. COUNT FOREST debuted in the spring time and offered early speed then backed away; he makes his way back here with a drop for $19,000. DARK ALE has had just a single start this season and had good perusing speed against a key winner and finished a distant fifth; the first place finisher came back to win next time out and both the second and third place finishers have subsequently won; he now drops for $20,000; he indicates two recent half mile works getting ready; middle speed is likely. CHESTERMERE took the big drop for $20,000 last time and was made the favourite and finished a meek third after giving up the lead in the stretch; the winner has already come back with a good race; Hernandez stays aboard for Stuart Simon. FIRST VICTORY debuted in July and fell far out of contention early then showed some life in the stretch; second time out he was in a key type race where he was overwhelmed and the runner up has come back to do well; he should welcome the plunge for $20,000 and he is a wake up prospect. TRUTH SERUM looked like he had every change to win August 12 th but he repositioned down towards the rail and stalled in second; most recently, he was outside and the winner approached from a wide position and he was finally third behind that rival. HIDDEN STORM was in for just $8,000 at Fort Erie last time and didn t keep up on turf; he now competes for $19,000.

JIM S JOURNAL SEPTEMBER 16 TH, 2018 LILLZ NOT CRYING is without a win after twenty starts but has been nibbling at the edges lately with some ok performances both on turf and Tapeta including a third place finish two starts ago for $23,500. TWICEASLUCKY has not been a factor in his last two races at the $30,000 mark and was out of the money on turf last time; he gets to drop for just $20,000 which should provide some motivation. RACE #7 13 LA PELOSA - BEST BET 11 PIVOTTINA 7 ARTILENA 12 STILLWATER COVE NOT ORBINARY was successful for Gail Cox, John Menary and Haymarket Farm in her second start which came at seven furlongs in a race that came off grass and her significant stretch power was the difference; she had run on turf in her opener back in July where her late power was also evident; she closed well from the outside; she has since had a work on turf in COMIC KITTEN a homebred for Kenneth and Sarah Ramsey by, Kitten s Joy, had a successful debut August 26 th on Tapeta at a route; she waited behind patiently then edged her way to the outside where she had the best closing kick; she is certainly made for turf racing and will now go to the lawn in this second start for Michael Maker; Flavien Prat rides. CHICAS AMIGAS Is Irish bred who had one of her biggest test in England June 22 nd in the Group 3 Albany Stakes; she was seventh beaten five lengths by the difficult, Main Edition, and the narrowly beaten runner up in the race, La Pelosa, has been entered here; a comeback at Newmarket was even tougher against a key winner who has since come back to do well; she sought some relief going to the Curragh to compete August 6 th against the boys and she had a confidence building second career win; she will be stretching to a mile in this North American Introduction for Mrs. J. Harrington; Oisin Murphy has the mount; lasix is added; she now competes for Qatar Racing Limited. EYE IN THE SKY competed in the Catch A Glimpse Stakes at six furlongs on a yielding turf last time and took late money and went off as the favourite; she was ridden to the lead and controlled the pace but backed away late and, My Gal Betty, was much the best with a rally. CHASING THE KITTY had a runaway debut win in July at Presque Isle on Tapeta; a subsequent race on a yielding turf at Saratoga in the PG Johnson which was taken by the even money favourite resulted in this one unable to recover after some early trouble; she comes in for Kevin Rice looking for a more productive journey. BOHEMIAN QUEEN had a successful debut August 6 th for Stronach Stables and Sid Attard; she mounted a rally between rivals just at the moment when the late pace seemed to weaken considerably; she was able to steal that race on Tapeta; she has come back to work on turf; she is a daughter of, Animal Kingdom. ARTILENA is certainly bred for turf by, Artie Schiller, and from a dam by, Arch; she had a successful second start August 22 nd when facing a rather reduced challenge at 2-5 and she galloped away from that group opening up smartly to win by a wide margin on Tapeta; this will be her race introduction to turf for Catherine Day-Phillips; she worked on the E. P. Taylor turf September 8 th in company in MY GAL BETTY was the most demonstrative winner August 25 th in her third lifetime start as she got onto turf and captured the Catch A Glimpse Stakes with a resounding outside rally; she rolled away from her opponents including the bogged down third place finisher, Bold Script; she came back to work well on the training turf September 8 th in for Roger Attfield; she is by, Point Of Entry, a significant turf influence and competes for William Werner; lasix is added. BOLD SCRIPT looked good in her opener when winning at six furlongs on turf; a comeback race came on demanding ground after a heavy rain; she drew the inside post and that resulted in a tough bogged down trip along the inside; she fought her way forward late to be third against, My Gal Betty, who won easily; she did gallop out well in that race; she came back with a nice work with Husbands aboard September 8 th in getting ready; she is a homebred for Chiefswood Stable by, Speightstown, and from a stakes winning mare. MINTD is Irish bred and raced and most recently has been moved to the Saratoga stable of Chad Brown and now competes for Madaket LLC; she took her initial win in her third start which came at Listowel and most recently, she competed at Tipperary reporting in second to the heavy favourite Land Force, who has since gone on to win the Group 2 Richmond Stakes at Goodwood; she has had an opportunity for several works at Saratoga; she must get out of the gate cleanly; lasix is added. PIVOTTINA is a French bred filly who won her opener and most recently, graduated to Group 2 company in Deauville and was fourth there to the favourite for Godolphin; in her previous event in Paris she ran second to a winner who remains perfect; she will be stretching to a mile with the transfer here; she is a daughter of, Vision d Etat, a Group 1 winner of the French Derby; she comes in for trainer Ludovic Gadbin and competes for ERJ Racing LLC and Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners; Joel Rosario rides. STILLWATER COVE comes in for Marcus Stables and trainer Wesley Ward; she is a daughter of, Quality Road, which brings significant turf influence; she won her opener at Keeneland then competed at Royal Ascot in the Group 3 Albany Stakes where she was no match for the runner up, La Pelosa; when she came home to Saratoga to compete in the Bolton Landing Stakes August 15 th at five and a half furlongs on turf she changed her running style to come from off the pace and won it as a longshot at the expense of her stable mate who was also returning from a European jaunt; she has since worked on the turf at Keeneland getting ready to venture here at a mile; John Velazquez rides. LA PELOSA comes in for Godolphin Racing and was a significant purchase earlier this year; she is conditioned by Newmarket based Charlie Appleby; she has three times been stakes placed in England on turf; one of her main performances came at Royal Ascot in late June when she was second best narrowly beaten in the Grade 3 Albany Stakes; most recently at Newmarket, she stretched to seven furlongs for the pivotal Group 3 Sweet Solera on the straightaway where she was again beaten by the same rival, Main Edition, who is now a four time winner; the stable has been hot in Europe this year; she had a brisk blowout on the E. P. Taylor turf Thursday morning in 23.2; lasix is added; her wide post may present a challenge. ABOVE ALL NAMES attended the pace at a route last time but in the crunch she hung against, Comic Kitten; she will add lasix and cut back in distance and go turf around one turn. SOUCIOLOGIST debuted August 11 th at five furlongs on Tapeta and was second best against a key winner who rallied so substantially and that one competed Friday.

JIM S JOURNAL SEPTEMBER 16 TH, 2018 RACE #8 4 BLURRICANE 6 GWENDOLINE H 3 RED EXPLOSION 1 VEIL VEIL is stepping up to a tougher category here after consecutive front running wins including a score at the first allowance level last time; she has been freshened and came back with a nice work September 8 th in 47.3; Castellano rides. SUPER SARAH finally made her way back for her seasonal bow September 7 th ; she was held off the lead then weakened gradually for just $20,000; she is up here to a protected zone. RED EXPLOSION got the best ride last time from Boulanger as the front runner gave up a long lead to this one and she guarded it as, Blurricane, closed belatedly; that was her second consecutive smart win; she has been freshened since August 10 th and had a solid work September 9 th in 49.1 getting ready to come back to meet, Blurricane, again. BLURRICANE returned from a layoff August 10 th and was late getting going against, Red Explosion, who had superior positioning and beat this one a nose; most recently in a six horse field five speed horses battled and she escaped a trap in the stretch and picked up top prize on the quick comeback. SILVER PRINCESS was getting her second start of the summer August 19 th and she had ideal positioning but the winner escaped and left her back in third in an ok effort. GWENDOLINE H attracted a claim July 11 th by Norm McKnight and following time off and a switch to turf last time she dazzled with a smart rallying win; she is also good on Tapeta where she seeks her sixth win; Kimura who handled her perfectly last time keeps the mount. RACE #9 12 JUNGLE WARRIOR 3 FOG OF WAR 6 WALLACE 9 NASHTRICK CERRADO is certainly bred for turf and debuted on the lawn here August 24 th ; he was behind early from the inside post but moved late on the outside in the second flight with surprisingly good momentum; he finished fifth behind, Nashtrick; an interim work September 8 th on the training turf saw him lead an older rival in the good time of 1.01; he competes for a partnership which includes trainer Dan Vella. AVIE S FLATTER was called to win his opener August 12 th and reported home a comfortable two and a half lengths the best after a four wide looping move; he is a well bred individual going for Ivan Dalos and Josie Carroll; he has come back to work in company on the E. P. Taylor turf in FOG OF WAR is an exciting prospect for owner Peter M. Brant and trainer Chad Brown; he is working with a significant pedigree being by, War Front, and from the Group 3 winning, Say, a daughter of Galileo, who has already produced the English stakes winner, Navel Intelligence; he was a significant auction purchase last year and made his first repayment in his winning debut August 13 th at Saratoga over a good turf at five and a half furlongs for a rich maiden pot; he had some difficulty staying straight through the stretch but he was kept on line well enough to persist with a rally; he has had several interim works at home at Saratoga; Javier Castellano rides once again. MUSKOKA WONDER made a smart pre race appearance for the Soaring Free Stakes on tough terrain August 26 th ; he tried an outside move but couldn t sustain his bid and that stopped his two race winning streak which included his score in the Clarendon; he came back to work in company on turf in going smartly for Conrad Farms. MOON SWINGS was on the edges against, Muskoka Wonder, in the Clarendon Stakes; most recently, he tried a maiden race on turf where he broke awkwardly to his right that he caused obvious interference to outside rivals; he reported in fourth with, War Of Will, in third. WALLACE an earlier purchase came to the Victoria Stakes to run on the edges; when he got onto the yielding turf in the Soaring Free Stakes he was a different horse running away on the front end to beat, Tricky Magician; since that time he has had a fast work on the training turf with Wilson aboard in going out well; he is one of two in the race for Sid Attard along with, Jungle Warrior; he now competes for Nancy J Pierce and trainer Kelsey Danner. SKYCHIEF made his most recent start August 25 th at Saratoga for trainer Michael Maker at a route in a maiden contest and while he eventually lost the duel to his closest pursuer he then also gave up another spot late in the race and finished third; he comes in from his base at Saratoga to join the local colony and goes just one turn here for Three Diamonds Farm. WAR OF WILL a significant auction purchase for Gary Barber is by the popular, War Front and from a dam who did win a stake in France and she has already produced a Group 1 winner in Ireland, Pathfork; he debuted August 24 th for Mark Casse at seven furlongs on turf and embarked on a speed duel but, Nashtrick, was waiting behind ready to rally and left this one in third; he did have a nice comeback work September 6 th in 1.01 out in getting ready for this second start which comes at a mile on the grass; lasix is added. NASHTRICK was preferred when he debuted August 24 th ; he is a homebred for Augustin Stable with plenty of strength in his pedigree top and bottom; his debut was delayed a few moments as he acted up pre race at the gate but once under way he quickened three wide past the field and was perfect at the end; he has had a nice interim work on the E. P. Taylor in 47.3 getting ready to extend in distance in this second consecutive turf event for Josie Carroll; he rates consideration. DOB DOB is a homebred for Monticule LLC and comes in for famed trainer, Michael Dickinson; he is certainly bred for turf being by, Temple City, and is from a well related dam who has produced five turf winners including three stakes winners; his debut came August 19 th at Laurel at a mile on turf where he was slow to begin but he split rivals on the second turn and then came to the outside for the stretch drive; he was best at the end; since that time he has posted fast works on the turf at his home base. TRICKY MAGICIAN competes for Gary Barber; he was stakes placed August 26 th on tough footing over the yielding E. P. Taylor turf course in the Soaring Free Stakes; he couldn t catch the front running, Wallace, but chased that one the entire way and the top two were much the best; he came back with a work in company September 7 th in for Mark Casse; he is thoroughly bred for turf by, Magician, a Breeders Cup Turf winner and he is from a dam who won on the grass in England.

JIM S JOURNAL SEPTEMBER 16 TH, 2018 JUNGLE WARRIOR a homebred for Stronach Stables was well appreciated when he came to his debut August 4 th ; he is a son of, Animal Kingdom, and well bred for turf; in that turf opener August 4 th, he started at the back then came around runners to be best against, Tricky Magician; since that time he has worked twice on grass including a move with Boulanger aboard September 8 th in 59.1 for Sid Attard. FEDERAL LAW comes in for Qatar Racing Limited and is in the care of Archie Watson who is based in Upper Lambourn; he took a maiden win in his second start in England in July and the runner up has developed into a nice individual; next out he tried a Group 2 event at Goodwood but he was overwhelmed by a winner who has yet to lose; most recently, he went to a synthetic surface where he stayed on to be second against a longshot winner; he is locally bred by Jim Dandy Stable and is a son of, Scat Daddy, from a highly productive distaff family; the blinkers are on; lasix is added; Oisin Murphy rides once again. RACE #10 2 DISTINCT PASSION 8 WALL STREET WOLF 6 ROCK YOU 4 GOLDEN EXCHANGE CLASSIC DANIEL opted for a speed style here September 1 st at six and a half furlongs on turf but was spent at long odds and finished eighth when, Golden Exchange, was better in sixth. DISTINCT PASSION competed at six furlongs last time for $40,000 and gave up early prominence but stayed on as the winner cleared away and the rest were all jumbled in the second flight; he takes the big drop for $10,000 here. YALLHAVEANICEDAY came around runners last time to threaten in the stretch at six and a half furlongs but the distance was too demanding and he hung; he shortens by a furlong. GOLDEN EXCHANGE won on turf for maiden $10,000 two starts ago; he doubled in price last time and came around runners but hung on the edges for $19.000; he drops for $10,000 and goes to Tapeta. PICK ON ME has been dedicated to the Fort Erie meeting where he has been busy this year with fringe tries; he is taking a jump in value for an opportunity to get onto Tapeta. ROCK YOU dropped in for $20,000 at a route last time and was wide into the backstretch while being reserved and finally slipped back late in what was a keen race by the top ones; he has been gelded since his latest and drops for $10,000 here; he reverts to a sprint. WE TAKE CHECKS had four wide speed but hung last time going first time off the claim for Anthony Pottinger. WALL STREET WOLF is without a win in recent years; he has often flirted on the edges; most recently on turf, he hung out of the money against a key group and will welcome the drop for $10,000 on Tapeta. RACE #11 7 HARPER P M 5 WALKABOUT CREEK 4 FRITZIE S BOY 11 LETTHEBIGHOSSROLL 9 GASCONADE MACHO T showed some potential when he debuted in the summer of 2016 when third; he is making his way back after a considerable absence and returns as a gelding with blinkers and lasix added; he has trained at times throughout the summer. ROCKBARTON attracted a claim for $20,000 last time when he ran a solid second on turf at a mile giving up the lead late; he shortens to six furlongs here and is up in value while some others are coming down sharply. ARNIE THE KING came off the shelf and did little running July 22 nd ; he went to turf last time and did not keep up. FRITZIE S BOY is without a win in recent times but has been second in three of his last four races on turf; most recently, he waited along the inside then moved outside for the stretch run and was simply out rallied and finished second. WALKABOUT CREEK added lasix second time out and had a significant dip in performance; he was in a tough race last time and stayed in contention until quite late; that type of speed can be productive in a turf event such as this for non winners of two for $40,000; he discovers the lawn and he has turf in his pedigree. KAILI S BIG BOY opted at 77-1 last time to go up and chase the eventual third place finisher in a pace match and wasn t all that far behind in sixth beaten eight lengths; he tumbles down in value to the level of his previous event where he also had speed but was also out of the money. HARPER P M has been competing in straight allowance events on turf and gets considerable relief by dropping for $40,000; he competed just last weekend where he was outrun by a superior group; Husbands takes over and Hernandez moves to, Silent Emissary. SILENT EMISSARY was getting his seasonal bow June 15 th and wasn t at his best for that race; second time back this year August 19 th he went to turf and that grass discovery produced his best race; he finished third with, Fritzie s Boy in second. GASCONADE came off the shelf to run strongly along the inside in second on turf two starts ago against, Silent Poet, who was entered earlier; his comeback race in a first allowance venture came against superior runners and he was understandably outrun but he did finish just in front of Harper P M who is also here; he now drops for $40,000. ATLANTIC CROSSING won nicely last time for maiden $20,000; he steps up into a much tougher event while remaining on grass. LETTHEBIGHOSSROLL was perfectly handled by Kimura to win for maiden $30,000 on turf two starts ago at a longer distance; he shortened to this venue in this category last time and ran an ok fourth. LEGAL GUMP will compete only if this event comes off turf and he was third in this category last time.
