Lindy Hoppin Came within a half length of pulling stunner at 90 1 on the Santa Anita turf two races ago, then was fourth of 11 at 45 1 when shortened up June 21. Fourth of seven in dirt debut May 16. Barn seeking first win of Oeighter Blinkers on and switches to dirt after two races on turf. Yet to show any early speed, but has worked well on the main track at Santa Anita since raced and retains Joe Talamo. Super Defence Was 13 ½ lengths clear of the rest of the field when second against $40,000 claimers in first in nearly 14 months June 5. Put in spot where she can t be claimed by winning barn and isn t meeting a field loaded with zip. Cravin the Heat Could improve in second after layoff, but Unusual Heat filly has only hit the board twice in 11 starts. First try on dirt since she was sixth of eight going 8 ½ furlongs last Sept. 14 at Barretts (Fairplex Park). Capraia Daughter of 2000 Breeders Cup Mile winner War Chant was bred in Kentucky by her Hall of Fame trainer. Difficult to win a route in debut and stable isn t known for success with first timers, so best to watch one. My Sweet Afleet Picked up pieces to finish distant second at 56 1 in turf sprint against $50,000 claimers June 12. Did not fare well in main track debut, checking in sixth of seven May 16. Jockey change to Martin Pedroza. Oeighter Super Defence Desert Madam 2 nd Race 3 Year Olds & Up, Fillies & Mares, claiming price $8,000, Five & One Half Furlongs Hollanita Returns for same price after being claimed out of subpar effort going longer May 9 at Santa Anita. Filly likes to win races, but has earned eight of her nine victories over synthetic. Yet to hit the board in three dirt efforts, but is most effective sprinting. Warren s Assassin

2 Posted 55 1 shocker when cutting back in distance May 24, finishing in front of Incredible Journey, who has since returned to win. Worked four times at Barretts (Fairplex Park) since the win against restricted claimers. It s Aine Long time between wins for California bred, who is 1 for 24 lifetime and 0 for 15 since the start of Sixth at 30 1 in same race Warren s Assassin exits, then managed to complete trifecta for this price tag June 15. Ebo s Love Now in Keith Craigmyle barn for initial try since Nov. 30, Hasn t won since defeating $16,000 claimers at Sacramento July 22, Two of her four wins have come on dirt and has been training here, including a 34 4/5 gate move a week ago. Runner up behind eventual repeater Halo La May 23 at Santa Anita. Milady Maid Claiming price halved after beating one rival in two comeback efforts. Began career with consecutive wins at Santa Rosa and Fresno, but those races were in Stabled here for Art Sherman. Courageousandbold Taken for this price June 15 when basically splitting field after being outrun early. Won four times in 2013 and could factor if able to run back to some of those efforts. Queen of the Hill Tumbles after disappointing at 3 2 against much tougher California breds June 19. Gray mare was claimed out of a big win for this tag in April and returned two weeks later to dust $16,000 claimers. Queen of the Hill Metaxa Warren s Assassin 3 rd Race 3 Year Olds & Up, Allowance/Claiming, claiming price $40,000, One Mile I Don t Care Who No match when third June 15 behind Got Even and gelding will have to deal with that rival again over different surface. Began year with consecutive wins and has been worse than third only once in five starts as a 4 year old. Gelding figures to stalk. Alpha Bullet Stretches out and returns to dirt after winning on turf as the lukewarm 3 1 favorite June 7. Perfect on dirt as he broke maiden against $40,000 claimers at shorter distance on New Year s Day. Looks like one to run down, but these are tougher. Got Even

3 Led throughout to win less than three weeks ago at Santa Anita. Three of four wins have come on dirt and repeat of latest should make him hard to deal with once more. Drilled a slow half mile in 49 4/5 one week ago at San Luis Rey. Arkenstone Lone 3 year old in field exits Grade III Affirmed, where he tired after pressing a slow pace. Game in March 23 maiden victory and keeps Joe Talamo. Well beaten by Midnight Hawk and Hoppertunity earlier in career. Tres Borrachos Multiple graded stakes winning gelding beat one in sprint comeback and return to California after being sidelined for about nine months. Won once in seven starts the last two years, a head victory against Hoorayforhollywood Feb. 22, 2013 at Santa Anita. That is 9 year old s only victory in 17 races on dirt. Got Even I Don t Care Who Tres Borrachos 4 th Race 3 Year Olds & Up, Starter allowance, Five & One Half Furlongs Sooner Born Improved immensely when dropped into a maiden claimer in second start, winning clear at 7 1 for Hall of Fame trainer. Protected with placement, but may have to rally from behind against this bunch. One of three 3 year olds in field. Adrenaline Shot Far back at 66 1 on turf when returning from a layoff off some 13 months for new stable. Maiden win came against soft field March 14, 2013, but should be player from close range. Two of his three on the board finishes have come on dirt. Sun Spots Third start in 16 days for Unusual Heat gelding. Troubled eighth in first against winners on closing day at Santa Anita 10 days after surprising $50,000 maidens at June 19. Only other race on dirt was a last place finish at 63 1 in career debut Feb. 16. No Ez Money Faded after pressing issue at this level June 21. Moves closer to inside, but has to deal again same rival (Grand Humor) who put him away last month. Win came when he was able to control pace against a suspect field March 27. Storm Bid Tries more yardage after defeating maidens going 870 yards under the lights here six nights ago. Veteran rider stays with gelding who trailed at 4 1 in 2014 debut at Santa Anita. Repeat very difficult to envision. Johns Journey Turf to dirt for Mike Machowsky after showing speed and winding up fifth down the hillside at Santa Anita. Maiden victory came three races ago at this distance and he worked a strong five eighths of a mile (59 1/5) six mornings ago in Arcadia. Grand Humor

Has been 1 2 in half of his eight starts and should be late threat under jockey Kayla Stra despite the hike in price. Tancred Joins new stable after finishing seventh of 12 in the same race Tiznow Or Then exits. Has regressed in three subsequent starts since returning from a lengthy layoff to win at 7 1 against $20,000 maidens April 12. Jockey change to Edwin Maldonado. Sudden Rumor Fresh off maiden win when dropped to a new low June 19. Third in two previous dirt routes, but gelding should be contender right back for sizzling barn. Worked an easy half mile at Santa Anita since his victory. Cut to Run Defeated next out graduate Soul Saver as the 3 2 favorite going shorter May 10. Should be a pace presence in first beyond 6 ½ furlongs and veteran rider has impressed since returning to the local colony. Go Black Tie First time on dirt for Borrego gelding and is adding blinkers that have been absent his last fie starts. Began career with a pair of thirds at Hollywood Park wearing the equipment and drops six pounds with switch to the apprentice. Fast works at Santa Anita for stable that has won at a 23% rate in Drilled six furlongs in 1:12 3/5 June 29, two weeks after going five eighths in 58 4/5. Opsec Purchased for $220,000 at the Keeneland September sale in 2012 and makes first start for Bob Baffert. Worked 10 times here before drilling twice at Santa Anita June 25 and July 1. Sire won Grade I CashCall Futurity in 2008 for this stable as well as the Santa Anita Derby and was second in the 2009 Kentucky Derby. Good Deal First foal out of dam and by a sire who gets about 14% first out winners. Initial win of apprentice s career came for this stable last fall at Hollywood Park. Homebred may want more distance for best. Raspberry Ala Mode Sire gets almost 11% debut winners and out of a mare who has yet to produce much. Co owned by trainer who was the all time leading thoroughbred conditioner at the Orange County Fair, which was held here from Her 46 half mile work June 23 at Santa Anita was best of 49 at the distance. Charming Jewel Gelding is first foal out of dam by a sire who has yet to have a debut winner. One of three California breds in field has been training locally and blew out quickly in 34 3/5 from gate four days ago. Crux Weakened badly after setting moderate pace at longer distance June 14. Gets third different rider in fourth start and might be better with a waiting ride. Drilled four furlongs in 47 4/5 since raced for productive stable. Aperfectdaytofly Debuts at age 6, so gelding has obviously had his issues. Two previous foals out of the dam have combined for one win. June 11 work at Santa Anita (59) was the best of 21 at five furlongs that day. Radiant Dancer Second foal of dam the first was winless in seven races and by sire who wins at about a 10% rate with rookies. Series of quick moves for more than capable first out trainer and jockey has a history of doing well for this stable. Radiant Dancer Opsec Prontezzo 7 th Race 3 Year Olds & Up, Fillies & Mares, Starter allowance, Six Furlongs Sydney s Darling Returns after nine months on the shelf. Finished last of nine in a $25,000 claimer when dropped a level after a claim. Only dirt win came over a wet fast track in January, Has run well fresh before, winning after a break of nearly nine months on the Hollywood Park grass in December, 2012.

Last win was against restricted claimers over Hollywood Park s Cushion Track last Nov. 23. Should be player from slightly off pace. La Quillotana Has lost four in a row since decisive maiden win against easy field April 3. Switches to seven pound apprentice after splitting six horse field June 14. Probably needs lesser to challenge. Tough Business Bids for third in a row and protected after being claimed for $25,000 by Eddie Truman. Eligible to get loose and retains jockey Edwin Maldonado. Only defeat came when she lost all chance at the break when debuting on turf in April. Creditcardroulette Spent most of career racing on turf and only previous dirt race was an off the board finish on a wet fast surface. Sixth and fourth down the hill at Santa Anita since claimed by current connections. Worked a half mile in 48 over the track June 25. Pursuitofparadise Trailed as the lukewarm 3 1 choice when last seen more than eight months ago at Delta Downs in Louisiana. First appearance in Southern California since finishing third against $32,000 maidens Sept. 12, 2012 at Fairplex Park. Has finished in six of eight on dirt. Appealing Resume Veteran mare likes to win races and, although she prefers synthetic, is plenty capable on dirt. Has faced stronger at Santa Anita and has been away two months since trailing in race taken by 2014 win machine Clearly Confused. Been training locally and best is good enough to handle these. Appealing Resume Sydney s Darling Tough Business 8 th Race 3 Year Olds, Los Alamitos Derby (Grade II), One Mile & One Eighth Eddie s First Returns to dirt after five consecutive races on turf. Established a course record going about 6 ½ furlongs on turf at Santa Anita when winning in 1:10.73 May 11. Eighth in only main track start in career debut Oct. 14, Tonito M. Winless in two races in the United States after winning six of nine in Puerto Rico. Runner up behind Top Fortitude in Grade III Lazaro Barrera May 10 before failing to threaten in the Grade II Woody Stephens on the Belmont Stakes undercard June 7. Can the Man Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert had him ready to fire after nearly eight months on the sidelines as he won the Grade III Affirmed as the choice June 7 at Santa Anita. Looks like one to catch. Friendswith K Mill Chased Can the Man in Affirmed after rallying to win an optional claimer May 11. One of two in field who have tried the Derby distance. He finished seventh of eight in the Grade I Santa Anita, 12 lengths behind California Chrome.

7 Shared Belief Champion 2 year old of 2013 made a successful seasonal debut, defeating older rivals over the Tapeta surface at Golden Gate Fields May 26. Undefeated gelding has yet to be menaced in four starts and demonstrated two turns wasn t a problem with blowout victory in the Grade I CashCall Futurity last Dec. 14 at Hollywood Park. First race on dirt and first time collaborating with Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith. Top Fortitude Arizona homebred has fired in three of four starts, including a 30 1 upset in the Barrera before finishing second behind Bayern in the Woody Stephens. Reunited with jockey Kayla Stra, who is 2 for 2 with the colt his debut win last Nov. 16 as well as the Barrera. Unproven beyond seven furlongs. Candy Boy Idle since troubled trip in the Kentucky Derby May 13. No match for California Chrome in Santa Anita Derby April 5 after easier than looked win in the Grade II Robert B. Lewis Stakes Feb. 8. Will be finishing, but wasn t close to Shared Belief when runner up in the CashCall Futurity. Jockey change to Joe Talamo. Shared Belief Top Fortitude Candy Boy 9 th Race 3 Year Olds & Up, Maiden fillies & mares, California breds, Five & One Half Furlongs Lucky S.J. Sire wins at about a 12% clip with first time starters and 4 year old filly worked in 1:01 and 1:00 1/5 at Santa Anita. Stable finished the Santa Anita Spring meet with a flourish, winning four races on closing day (June 29). Inflamed Split field of 10 in only start more than 22 months ago. Full sister to six time winners Brushburn and Hotitude. May need an outing before demonstrating her best. Swiss Intrigue Work tab dating to April 19 over this surface, including 1:00 and a 47 4/5 gate drill a week apart in June. Full sister Downhill Diva won five of 20 and was second in stakes races at ages 4 and 5. Star Rising Sire won the 2008 Breeders Cup Turf Sprint and dam has produced three winners, including Starry Skies, second in the 2012 Melair Stakes. Stable has had success with sire and she has trained well at Santa Anita. Yodelmesomemagic Returns in new stable (Vladimir Cerin) for first since narrow loss in $50,000 claimer more than a year ago at Hollywood Park. Gets top rider for return and it is encouraging she comes back in a spot where she can t be claimed. Grace Victoria Showed speed and tired badly to finish a distant third in a field of four when debuting June 21. Moves outside and could improve with race under belt for winning connections.
