Whatyouciswhatuget - Turned in a solid runner-up finish two back under these exact conditions in May across town after showing the way early, then did a bit of a dipsy-doodle at the break in that outing here two weeks ago and gave way readily after being involved for three-quarters. 3. Curlina Curlina - Makes her 27th stab at the brass ring, including 9 runs over this layout for two exacta completes and a 3rd; never threatened in that June 28 affair while picking up another minor award; late move for a slice seems the ceiling. 4. Izzy Express - Nothing doing in the first two attempts vs. tougher types on the lawn this spring at Santa Anita, then dropped to this level and tried the main track over there early last month and was well beaten in what has proven to be a productive contest; gets first shot to race at the track she calls home for Puype with Pedroza trying his hand. 5. Jicama - Completes the quartet coming out of that Cee Sams Girl miler here, playing the role of bystander after taking the short way around in what was her 2nd appearance since returning from a very long vacation; one-race blinkerless experiment is over and needs to do better. 6. Bad and Bougie - Sophomore could prove an elusive target today for the Machowsky/Talamo team, which has been connecting at a nice percentage; after giving way in the first two lawn parties, she got some class relief last month in Arcadia and showed the way under pressure before weakening at crunch time; this is her easiest assignment to date. 6. I ll Wrap It Up - Has been favored in 3 of the last 4 appearances, and interestingly, the lone win during that sequence came the day he was 5-1 in April across town; back to the short game now after settling for the place behind a runner who was scheduled to suit up in Wednesday's 5th race; should be sitting a real nice trip behind the speed with Gonzalez at the controls. 2. Templar - Returned from a bit of a layoff here in late May, took a class drop and went evenly in a compact cast while taking the long way around that night; a nice half-mile a.m. move here last week ; speed to consider and best makes dangerous. 3. Justamitch - Has been doing his recent racing here at 870 yards under the lights, squaring off against some course specialists; sports a victory from a trio of attempts over the mile daytime course and figures to be right on top of the action from the getgo; will have to dig deep to reach. 4. Ajac - Another who has been concentrating on those 870 affairs here at night, rattling off 4 straight solid efforts while facing easier company; should be involved early at this longer journey but that stretch could prove awfully long; encouraging that McDaid sticks with this one. 5. Tiz Love - Has captured 2 of his 4 starts over this daytime oval, the most recent score coming at last year s fall meet in a 28-1 surprise; returned from over 8 months on the sidelines to finish a decent 4th on opening week after tracking the runaway pace-setter; could make a nice late impression at this abbreviated journey. 6. Stoneys Mr Cruiser - Proved a punctual favorite here on the five-eighths course 19 days ago with McDaid taking him coastto-coast in a conditioned seller at the top evening level; figures to have much more company up front this time around, but have to respect that last score and wins in half of the last 8 outings. 1. Becomes a Queen - Suited up her opening weekend in a sprint and while no match for the first pair, did gain the show money that afternoon in her initial foray over this unique strip for Eurton; now she ges her first shot to go a route of ground over the main track with Gutierrez back at the controls from a cozy slot. 2. Majestic Design - Has been doing all her recent work routing vs. tougher company on the grass across town for Baltas, with her only dirt effort resulting in a dull try back in January around one corner; certainly with her friends for this go-around as the hot-riding apprentice Espinoza gets the leg up. 3. Copper Cowgirl - Was well backed in the 2nd race off the layoff here opening week, sat close to the lane and then could make no impact behind a runaway victress; gets first assignment beyond 6 furlongs with apprentice McDaid taking over the controls; may find the long stretch demanding today. 4. Yolanda s Stone - Was red-tagged out of a distant 2nd place finish in a bottom level affair under the lights here in March and has brought up the rear in the two ensuing starts; the most recent was that aforementioned Bragging Rights dash here on opening week while going off at 70-1; would be a surprise. 5. Gray Diva - Could be set for the stretchout as she makes her 3rd start off the respite for California Chrome's mentor Sherman; that was an encouraging return across town and then just didn't fire when she suited up in Arcadia a month ago; has to be considered with this modest line-up. 6. Quizlet - Returns from the northern foray that saw her earning minor awards while routing on the Golden Gate lawn; this will be her first shot to race around two turns on the main track and this is the track she calls home; not an impossible task with apprentice Payeras guiding. 2. Won by daylight vs. $8,000 claimers during the 2017 Summer Thoroughbred Festival. 4. Callie Mesa - Bumped in price after being claimed for $3,200 from Elmer January after finishing sixth of seven at shorter trip under the lights five weeks ago. Wasn t competitive in her previous races in the afternoon when facing maiden claimers in 2017 when trained by Tim Yakteen 5. La Galy - Mare has been idle since finishing sixth of seven over this track last Dec. 10. Has been second in two of four over this track in the afternoon and blowout maiden victory in the spring of 2017 came after she had been away for more than seven months, so she may fire fresh over her home track. 6. Briartic Gal - Cuts back for stable winning at a 25% clip in 2018 and which won with Trapalanda opening week after being eased in a miler for lower price tag 51 days ago. Has worked over this track in the interim, so a bounce back is possible and her maiden victory did come sprinting Dec. 4, 2016 on the synthetic surface at Golden Gate Fields. 5. La Galy 6. Proven fresh as she was runner-up in her career debut May 28, 2017 and has solid work tab at San Luis Rey for her return. 3. Miss Blue by You - Old Topper is 15% with his debuters and second foal from dam - the other has yet to start - who won 11 times and earned over $562,000. Prefer to see a race from filly who is based here. 4. Magnolia s Hope - Defeated one horse in a pair of starts in Arcadia, the latest when last of eight when 5-1 nearly six weeks ago. Homebred has worked four times in the interim and gets new rider, but would need to take a major step forward to contend. 5. Dislitleaglecanfly - Filly purchased for $,000 as a 2-yearold failed to soar when debuting on turf 39 days ago. Encountered some early trouble when 10th of when 35-1 for stable which won with Arrowsphere July 7. Better is possible as she moves to dirt and blew out over this track five mornings ago. 6. Spectacular Storm - Finished well behind Champagne Honey when fourth in June 8 debut. Received no mutuel support in that contest, so would be a surprise. 7. Hasn t come close in three tries since returning from a layoff of more than one year and only win came going much longer April 6, Hidden Crook - Stretches from 870 yards after splitting the field 18 nights ago. Only victory came vs. soft $3,500 maiden field. Worked a bullet half mile earlier in the month, but would be a surprise. 5. Liberty Jack - Cuts back in distance and drops below the level claimed after trailing going eight furlongs when last seen nearly 11 weeks ago. Has done his best work around one turn, so could rebound as he switches to apprentice who led the local standings through the first half of the meet. 6. Brickhouse - No better than fifth in three tries vs. winners since upsetting maidens over a wet fast track 3 1/2 months ago. Claiming price halved after finishing ahead of two rivals in his first over this track 13 days ago. Looking elsewhere. 7. Fandarel Dancer -Trailed throughout when 59-1 in race Reverend Al exits and lone win came going 870 yards at night. Difficult to recommend and will be a huge price once more. 8. Taco Tuesday - Brief factor for higher price tag 32 days ago. Removes the blinkers and score did come without the hood. 5. Trapalanda - Bids for second win of the meet after scoring with a pace pressing trip when the favorite days ago. Paid immediate dividends for current connections as that was his first start since being claimed for $16,000 from Doug O Neill six weeks earlier. Has been 1-2 in half of his races on dirt, so tough to ignore. 6. Aquila - Hasn t been close in two races vs. winners, the latest when chasing Los Alamitos Derby probable Ax Man two months ago. Improvement needed from the first time gelding as he takes on older for the first time. 7. Ike - Failed when even money favorite at shorter distance in return to Southern California 13 days ago. Kelseybelle - Couldn t get the job done for lower price tag when days ago on the Tapeta surface at Golden Gate Fields. Ships south for productive stable, so could contend if she takes to the dirt. All of her races so far have been on synthetic or turf. 2. Peachy - Sire is 26-for-256 with his debuters and dam who was winless in nine starts has produced Ultimate Holiday (4 wins, $238,406). Works don t inspire, but isn t meeting a stellar bunch and stable won with its first starter of the meet (13-1 shot Cee Sam s Girl June 28). 3. Mariana s Girl - Shortens up after finishing off the board in race in which the third place finisher was an upset route winner here June 28. Best career finish came when she was second over this track against $30,000 claimers during the 2017 Winter meet, so not impossible. 4. Stella Sweeper - Finished nearly 10 lengths behind Mischievious Lass May 25 and has yet to pose a threat. Formerly trained by David Bernstein. Outsider. 5. Grecian Fort - Yet to come close and sheds blinkers after being eased in longer race 15 days ago. Hard to envision and was defeated by 10 lengths by Mischievious Lass the last time she sprinted. 6. Mischievious Lass - Distant second when the 3-5 choice in first at this level six weeks ago. Cuts back a sixteenth of a mile and should be an off the pace threat in her fourth since being claimed for $30,000 from Jerry Hollendorfer. 7. Veiled Heat - Trial maiden has beeun runner-up in four of her last five, the latest when defeated by first out winner Miss Unusual 27 days ago. Obvious player underneath, but tough to take on top given the 15 losses on her resume. 8. No Wine Untasted - Drops and moves to dirt after trailing when 69-1 coming down the hill nearly two months ago in Arcadia. Yet to threaten in four starts, including trailing when 6-1 in her lone try on dirt in her career debut March 4. Keeps same rider and should welcome the class relief. 9. Miss Kitaen - Runner-up when the odds-on choice in her career debut here during the 2017 Los Angeles County Fair meet, so merits a look from off the pace in her first in seven months.
