Holidayincambodia - Like her neighbor to the inside, her lone local outing resulted in a victory, that coming in coast-to-coast fashion in September; has her troubles after flashing speed in the subsequent two trips to the post and figures to have early company on both sides today. 5. Southern Darling - After winning her first two starts of 2016, she s hit a dry spell with the majority of her recent work coming over the five-eighths track here in the evening; has not made the trifecta in a trio of appearances over this mile course and must do better. 5. Smil n From Above - The thing that leaps off the page is the 3 wins to go with 32 place and show finishes, with a dead-heat win, four seconds and two thirds in Orange County; hoping for some serious ding-donging up front to help the set the table for her late charge. 6. Sooner Time - Looks to be become the first two-time winner at the meet; got some class relief a week ago on opening day, forced the issue three-deep and proved a punctual 7-5 favorite under Verenzuela; sophomore is neatly drawn once again in this compact cast. 1. 2 2 nd by 3-year-olds and up, top claiming price $12,500, Six Furlongs Trainer Jerry Wallace Top Recent Equibase Speed Figure at this distance: It s Just Bob & Alabama Tide 1. What We Doing - He s clicked twice from 8 starts locally and winless in 25 outings elsewhere; hist last score came at the fall meet while racing for the third time in three weeks; well beaten in last two starts at a mile and needs to turn things around. 2. Dr. Crabby - Only start over this mile oval came a year ago and was a solid runner-up; went to the sidelines for 10 months following that outing and made a decent move forward in the second off the bench at the seaside and is wheeled back at a slightly lower level. 3. Antinanco - Making his first start since last December at Del Mar a month ago, he lagged early, came wide to the lane and filled out the exacta at 41-1 under new best friend Medina; earned a solid number in the process and now he has that effort under his belt; much more respect today. 4. Redneck Crazy - Just one snapshot from his 21 appearances with 13 place and show finishes, including a 2nd and a 3rd from his trio out tings over this layout; found the mile not to his liking at most recent asking down south, but his best sprints put him in the thick of the battle with this group as Van Dyke gets the leg up. 5. Fans On the Run - Maidenbreaker came at second asking back in March; last five trips to the post have seen this guy solidly beaten, including opening week here when he went off at 71-1; can t make a case. 6. It s Just Bob - Second starter for Gonzalez barn; he s the only member of the cast with a tally over this track, that coming in a clear-cut diploma earner back in April; just nibbles in the trio of outings since being red-tagged and was narrowly beaten by Redneck Crazy when they met last month at Del Mar. 7. Roaring Rule - The lone 3-time victor in this field, most recently getting the job done for a modest tag up at Pleasanton in early October; made a solid late run in the first teaming with Santiago on opening day in the initial try off the claim and has some versatility style-wise in his corner. 8. Alabama Tide - Drops to the lowest level of his career and will be making his first try over this unique course; victories have come at Oaklawn Park and in the slop at Churchill Downs and not he chased home a pro in that 20K open seller at the seaside last month; looking to turn things around in 3rd start under Puype s direction. 7. Lady s War Dress - First starter for both the sire and the unraced dam; modest local works showing and will have to deal with what can be a tricky rail slot for a beginner. 2. Eskenforandreya - Chased home some promising fillies in the Octboer unveiling in Arcadia, then dripped to this level for the Del Mar foray after disputing the early issue from the inside; speedster in race filled with first-timers. 3. Dixie Avenue - Sent off at when debuting in that safe seaside affair as her inside neighbor, took the short way around and was just a bystander; racing now over the track she calls home. 4. Solar Corona - Sire is 2-for-55 with rookie youngsters while the dam was 4- for-33 (63K) in her racing days and has one other starter who is winless in 2 attempts; seems to have picking things up lately in the local drills. 5. Cali Encounter - Makes debut for Orange County kingpin Treece; sire is 0- for-2 with firsters and mom won 2 of 10 for 45K on the track and has seen 1 of her 2 to reach the races get the picture taken; a nice 5-furlong gate move showing over this layout to complete preparations. 6. Secret Wings - Was 75-1 and eased when facing straight maidens at SA in the late October debut; looking elsewhere. 7. Ellie Von Shtupp - First of two new faces from the Doc Harrington barn; Awesome Gambler has had 5 winners from 95 beginning 2-year-olds with dam earning 86K while winning 3 of 18 and has seen 3 0f her 4 starters click, headed by 254K earner Cabana. 8. Swiss Cause - The other Harrington runner; Creative Cause has won with 20% of his newbies racing an while mom won 4 of 18 for 165K and has produced 3 winners from 6 starters, headed by Hollywood Juvenile Championship winner Alpine Luck. 9. Sorrytobugyou - Hasn t threatened in the two starts, now there s a dip in class of hopes of sparking more interest; barn having solid year and factor if non of the fresh faces come out firing. 10. Bella Be Quick - D Amato does well with his first-timers and doesn t have to work them fast to be ready; sire has had 6 winners from 41 beginning youngsters while the dam won 5 of 15 starts for 225K and has produced 4 winners from 5 to the wars, headed by Standing By (82K). 11. Road Test - Didn t attract all that much tote attention when debuting without a tag at Santa Anita, showed early interest and then drifted wide turning for home and faltered; O Neill charge figures to appreciate the softer assignment. 10. Gotta Get Lucky - Left little doubt when graduating two back going this trip in Arcadia, then failed to make any impact in the first try vs. winners down at Del Mar; gets a little easier assignment today from the cozy slot and Solis should have him in tracking mode. 2. Most Notorious - Graduation came this summer up at Santa Rosa while racing at the bottom level; a couple of nibbles in the interim, including the most recent going this once-around trip on the Golden Gate tapeta; well beaten when meeting Tough Emblem here back in May. 3. Attack - The 18th time proved the charm at Santa Anita back in March, then he went to the sidelines for nearly 8 months following the next try and was outrun after a troubled start here on opening day around one corner.; will certainly have to pick up his game. 4. Gavination - The number 13 proved lucky for this gelding when he broke his maiden in Arcadia in October and he has since stopped abruptly in back-to-back tries, the most recent over the Del Mar turf; back to the main track and back down to a more real 5. Tough Emblem -The only member of the cast with a victory over this layout, posting a 28-1 diploma surprise going this distance at the spring session; has had to be happy with minor awards in the interim, but this is a pretty soft group and his best makes him very dangerous. 6. Unbridled Rocket - Only local outing resulted in a distant 2nd at odds-on 15 months ago and he returned three starts later to break his maiden decisively while sprinting; no match for the top pair last time under these conditions at Anita, but did have some traffic troubles and should be very much at home from a close-up position. 6. Gio s Lady - Failed to threaten when favorite at shorter trip nearly one month ago and takes the blinkers off worn in her last two. Has worked twice over this track since raced and may be more comfortable at this trip. 2. Bullet local drill for sharp outfit, so beware on the drop. 4. Jeanjeannie - Well clear of rest of field when second behidn class-dropping winner and has been runner-up in both tries at eight furlongs. The one to fdefeat for trainer who saddled Abel Tasman for her 12-1 upset in the Grade I Starlet here last weekend. 5. Reward of Roses - Takes off the blinkers for first since finishing sixth of eight when nearly 23-1 at shorter trip nearly two months ago. Best effort came without the hood in her second career start during the summer, but doesn t seem like added yardage will be to her benefit. Longshot. 6. Honor Maker - Hasn t come close in two races against better, so gets a much needed drop. Softer company should aid and she may take to the trip. Lures rider who is recent arrival to Southern California after finishing second in the standings at the recently-concluded Woodbine meet in Toronto. 7. Chiksika - Takes off blinkers after finishng fourth, 3 1/4 lengths behind Uninvited Nov. 25. Lightly-raced gelding is eligible for improvement over his home track. 7. Papa Royale - Makes first start on dirt after finishing directy behind Aztec Warrior last month. Rolled fives in all three of his races and another who could move up with the surface change. 8. Picture Tube - Tailed off in recent efforts and puts the blinkers back on that were worn in the first five races of his career. Eligible to do better with that race behind her and gets first crack at her home track. Improvement expected. 6. Miss Napper Tandy - Finished fourth lengths in front of Motutapu when completing trifecta at 40-1 Nov. 19. Finished behind a next out winner when third in lone appearance here April 17 and could share for stable seeking first win of year. 7. Cyclone Betty - Forced pace while outside and faded at same level 18 days ago. Fits off performance two back and adds blinkers for first time. Possible. 8. Really a Gem -Most experienced member of the cast lost a heartbreaker as the favorite in same contest Cyclone Betty exits and looms the one to beat if able to duplicate the race. A must use in exotics given she s been 2-3 in more than half her starts. 9. Curlina Curlina - Fourth in race which produced recent Los Alamitos graduate Liana Skye, but still seeking first on the board finish. Needs to show more. 10. Irish Devil - Split field when fourth at same level nearly three months ago. Locally based miss blew out nicely for this five mornings ago and fits for a piece off her latest. 11. Righteous Dixie - Trappe Shot is 12-for-102 with his debuters and first foal from dam who was winless in five starts. Stable not known for first out success, but she won t have to be a world beater to contend in her initial attempt. 12.
