Reigning champion Fabio Fognini and 2016 champion Feliciano Lopez headline the Swiss Open. 2) Fognini on Fire: After falling in qualifying at 2007 Gstaad, Fognini returned to the Swiss Alps a decade later and won the title. This season, the No. 1 Italian added his sixth and seventh ATP World Tour titles and 300th career victory at ATP Masters 1000 Rome. Fognini also reached the fourth round at the Australian Open and Roland Garros, as well as the third round at Wimbledon. 3) Lopez d. Federer: The left-handed Lopez is 0-13 against fellow 36-year-old and 2004 Gstaad champion Roger Federer. But he earned a moral victory over the living legend at Wimbledon.
