We do not accept additions/deletions via . Respect the Cone Zone Please respect the CONES when they are placed on the courts and do not use those courts. During the morning and afternoon, when maintenance is in progress, after grooming the cones will indicate that the court is ready for the evening matches. There will always be some available courts to practice on but it may not be the one you play on that evening.
2 2 Keep your Bocce Courts clean & tidy As you may be aware, we have been supplied with new recycling bins. One of the main reasons we have them supplied is that the bottles, and there are many of them every night, were usually put on the ground, outside of the garbage bins. So please, put all recycling materials in the new brown bins and keep any food waste or other items for the general garbage bins. This will help keep the bocce area clean & tidy and assist us in maintaining the grounds. Try to leave the courts as you would like to see them when you arrive.

22 Letter from a Member. (Response to 12 by 2 or first to 12) 22 Hi Victor, As I was watching you guys last night, I also chatted with others. To me the win by 2 has sort of been the norm & is in my opinion the choice I would like to stay with. Not too many times do we go extra innings, so to speak and it is a fair way to determine the winning team. So my vote is to keep the "win by 2". I do also agree that in tournaments, the 1st to 10, 12 etc., has also been a normal practice & tournaments do well with this to keep play moving along. As an example, we play many where 1st to 10 when play starts (or 1st to 12), does serve the purpose to help the timing. Some cases we have been allowed a time limit as well, say 30 minutes then whoever is leading gets the win. But those are fine in a tournament situation and are spelled out before play starts. So I think the "win by 2" works and should be kept for league, and then understand & agree with tournament rules where either "1st to 10 or 12 " or time limits have a place to manage time are very acceptable & sometimes needed. But that sort of goes with if it ain't broke don't fix it. Also, the team Capos should be reminded that all of us need to keep the games moving along & so come to play, eat if you are not playing, but be considerate to the rest of the league & board members by not slowing the process & keep rolling if you are one of the 4 players on the court. We start at 6:30 & have the next 4 players ready to roll as soon as you can. I think all of that was sort of the message the Commissioner spoke of & really hasn't changed with most of us used to playing.gary Carlson. If you have any comments or suggestions, please write to:- vic@martinezboccefederation.com and we may include them in the next newsletter.
