2 2007 In Review Tribe Attendance Jumps 10% LEADING THE IL WEST: Indianapolis spent 69 straight days (April 16-June 23) atop the International League s West Division during the 2007 campaign... In 2006, the Indians spent 119 days in either first place or tied for the top spot. STAYING ABOVE.500: Indianapolis stayed above.500 for 145 straight days (April 5-Aug. 28) during the 2007 campaign... In three seasons as a Pittsburgh Pirates affiliate, the Indians spent 442 of 452 days (98%) at.500 or better... The streak included 281 consecutive in-season days from April 22, 2006 to Aug. 28, A GOOD YEAR FOR ATTENDANCE: Indianapolis enjoyed the IL s second-best attendance increase in 2007, jumping 10 percent from an average of 7,608 to 8, The Tribe hosted 586,785 fans at Victory Field this past year -- its best regular-season attendance total since A BIG YEAR FOR THE SKIPPER: Manager Trent Jewett picked up his 200th victory in Indianapolis on July 1 and his 900th win as a Minor League manager on July Jewett has led the Indians to a overall mark in three seasons with the club... The 16-year Pirates employee was named the International League s Best Manager Prospect in the Aug edition of Baseball America... He was the first Tribe manager to have his own blog on IndyStar.com, which received over 7,800 page views throughout the 2007 season.
