Anibal Sanchez (14-7) blanked the White Sox on five hits, while fanning 10 batters over 7.1 innings of work to earn the win. Joaquin Benoit capped off the victory with a scoreless ninth inning to earn his 18th save of the season. The Tigers begin the final homestand of the season tonight with the first game of a three-game series against the Kansas City Royals.
