Leonys Mar n finished a triple shy of the cycle, going 3x4 with a double, a home run and a RBI. Daniel Norris took the loss for Detroit, allowing four runs on seven hits with one walk and three strikeouts in 3.0 innings. Drew VerHagen pitched 2.1 shutout innings in relief, while Daniel Stumpf also worked a scoreless inning. The Tigers and Indians conclude their four-game series tonight. He also belted his first home run as a member of the Tigers last night, hi ng his first roundtripper since August 16, 2017 vs. Bal more. TIGERS TIDBITS: Drew VerHagen worked 2.1 shutout innings of relief, walking two and striking out one. Since not recording an out in his season debut on March 30 vs. Pi sburgh, VerHagen has not allowed a run in his last four appearances, throwing 7.0 straight scoreless frames...miguel Cabrera did not commit an error in last night s game, extending his errorless streak to 100 games. Cabrera s last error came on May 12, 2017 at Los Angeles (AL). LAST TIME OUT: Fulmer earned his first win of the season on Saturday at Chicago (AL), throwing 5.1 shutout innings with six hits allowed, three walks and four strikeouts. VS. COMPLETE GAME SHUTOUT: Fulmer threw the first complete game and shutout of his career on August 14, 2016 at Texas, sca ering four hits and striking out nine. Fulmer became the first Tigers rookie pitcher to throw a shutout since Jus n Verlander on May 22, 2006 at Kansas City and he joined Philadelphia's Zach Eflin and Colorado's Jon Gray as the only Major League rookies to throw a shutout last season.
