AT COMERICA PARK The Tigers on Friday announced that the game on Monday, October 3, vs. Cleveland at Comerica Park will begin at 1:10 p.m. Monday's game will only be played if necessary whereas it can impact postseason seedings. All paid ckets from the postponed game of Thursday, September 29, will be honored for the Monday game at Comerica Park. No cket exchange is necessary. If the game is not made up or if fans are unable to a end the rescheduled game, they may exchange their unused ckets at any me for a future non-premium regular season game scheduled to be played within 12 months from September 29, excluding Opening Day. Jus n Upton hit a solo home run, his 31st of the season, in the loss, while Jose Iglesias had a pair of hits and drove in a run. Ian Kinsler also added a RBI double. Jordan Zimmermann started for Detroit and took the loss, allowing two runs on three hits with three walks and two strikeouts in 4.0 innings. UPTON, VERLANDER EARN SEPTEMBER HONORS: Jus n Upton and Jus n Verlander have been selected as the Tigers Player and Pitcher of the Month, respec vely, for September. Upton hit.307 (27x88) with 18 runs scored, five doubles, 12 home runs and 27 RBI in September. Upton's 12 homers in September were the most by a Tiger since Hank Greenberg hit 16 in September, Upton led the American League with 12 home runs and a.773 slugging percentage in September, while he was ed for second with 27 RBI. Verlander made five starts in September and had a 2-1 record with a 1.93 ERA (32.2IP/7ER), 24 hits allowed, 10 walks and 48 strikeouts. Verlander led the AL with 48 strikeouts in September, while he was third with a 1.93 ERA, sixth with a.203 opponents ba ng average (24x118) and eighth with a 1.04 WHIP. J-UP, UP AND AWAY: Jus n Upton hit his 31st home run of the season in the seventh inning of last night's game.
