The scheduled season opener between the two teams on Thursday was postponed due to inclement weather. Following games on Saturday and Sunday vs. the Pirates, the season-opening, six-game homestand con nues vs. the Kansas City Royals from Monday-Wednesday. SPRING TRAINING RECAP: The Tigers finished their Grapefruit League schedule with a record. Detroit had a record at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium, while they went on the road.
