RECENT RESULTS: The Tigers dropped the series finale to the Bal more Orioles, 5-3, on Sunday a ernoon at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Jeimer Candelario had a pair of hits, including a double, and a RBI, while John Hicks added a solo home run, his second of the season. Niko Goodrum also contributed a hit and a RBI in the loss. Daniel Norris started for the Tigers and took the loss, allowing three runs on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 2.1 innings. The Tigers return home tonight as they open a three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays. Following the series against the Rays, the Tigers will embark on a sevengame road trip, which includes four games against Kansas City (May 3-6) and three games at Texas (May 7-9). ROSTER MOVES: The Tigers today announced the following roster moves: - Placed LHP Daniel Norris on the 10-day disabled list with a le groin strain. - Recalled LHP Chad Bell from Triple A Toledo. GETTIN IGGY WITH IT: José Iglesias went 1x5 with a double in yesterday s game and has now hit safely in six straight games and in 12 of his last 14 contests. Over the 14-game stretch, Iglesias is ba ng.321 (18x56) with five runs scored, five doubles, one triple and six RBI. LATE INNING MAGIC: The Tigers scored two runs in the seventh inning of yesterday s game. Detroit has scored 47 of its 122 runs (38.5%) in the seventh inning-or-later, which is the fourth-highest total in the American League, trailing only Oakland (54), Toronto (52) and Houston (50). TIGERS TIDBITS: Daniel Stumpf threw a scoreless inning of relief with two walks and two strikeouts yesterday. RECAPPING THE ROAD TRIP: The Tigers went 2-4 on their recently completed road trip, going 1-2 at Pi sburgh and 1-2 at Bal more. Miguel Cabrera hit.421 (8x19) with four doubles, one home run and seven RBI during the trip, while James McCann hit.333 (6x18) with two doubles, a home run and two RBI. V-MART VS. THE RAYS: Victor Mar nez has performed well in his career against the Tampa Bay Rays.
