With the bases loaded and two out in the bo om of the 10th inning, pinch runner Cameron Maybin scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch. James McCann belted a two-run homer in the win, while Steven Moya and Jus n Upton each had a hit and a RBI. Kyle Ryan picked up the win in relief for the second straight day a er wiggling out of a runner on third, nobody out jam in the top of the 10th. The Tigers con nue their nine-game homestand tonight as they begin a three-game series vs. the Indians. Following the series against Cleveland and an off day on Monday, the homestand con nues with two games vs. Miami (June 28-29). TIGERS AGREE TO TERMS WITH FIRST ROUND PICK MATT MANNING: The Tigers on Thursday announced that the club has agreed to terms with righthanded pitcher Ma Manning from Sheldon High School in Sacramento, CA, the club's first round selec on (ninth overall) in the 2016 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Dra. In eight starts as a senior, Manning posted a 2-1 record with a 1.91 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 40.1 innings. Manning, who is 6-6 and 185 pounds, was named a 2016 Rawlings-Perfect Game first team All-American and was selected to play in the 2015 Perfect Game All-American Classic at Petco Park in San Diego, CA. Manning was rated as the second-best righthanded pitcher prospect and the 11th-best prospect overall in the MLB Dra by MLB.com. The Tigers have now agreed to terms with 27 of their 38 dra picks, including 24 of their first 25 picks. WALKING OFF WITH A WIN: The Tigers picked up their third walkoff win of the season yesterday as Cameron Maybin scored on a wild pitch in the bo om of the 10th inning. The victory was the second extra-inning walkoff win for the Tigers during the four-game series vs. Sea le. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it was only the second series in the last 18 seasons in which the Tigers have won two extra-inning games in walkoff fashion. The Tigers only other series of that kind since 1999 was last September vs. the Royals, with a 12th-inning walkoff RBI single by Dixon Machado and an 11th-inning walkoff homer by Ian Kinsler. SWEEPING THE MARINERS: The Tigers completed a four-game sweep of Sea le yesterday a ernoon. It marked Detroit's first four-game series sweep at Comerica Park since sweeping the Royals September 24-27, It also was the Tigers first four-game series sweep of Sea le since August 1-3, 1980 at Tiger Stadium. GETTIN IGGY WITH IT: Jose Iglesias went 1x4 in yesterday's game and has now hit safely in 19 of his last 21 games. TIGERS WELCOME BILL GILBRETH THIS WEEKEND: Former Tiger pitcher Bill Gilbreth will return to Detroit this weekend on the 45th anniversary of his major league debut. Gilbreth made his big league debut on June 25, 1971 against the Cleveland Indians, throwing a complete game victory with one run allowed on five hits. Gilbreth also added a pair of singles in the game. Gilbreth will a end tonight and tomorrow's games vs. Cleveland and meet with some of his former teammates in his first trip back to Detroit in more than four decades. SAUPOLD INJURY REHAB: Righthanded pitcher Warwick Saupold began an injury rehab assignment with Triple A Toledo last night. Saupold allowed one run on two hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 2.0 innings out of the bullpen. Saupold has been sidelined since June 1 with a right groin strain. TIGERS ON THE DL: OF J.D.
