2 STATE CHAMPION MHS sophomore Cameron Chaucer Ruland was crowned the 3A State Champion in Spelling and Vocabulary at the State Meet in Austin. He was welcomed home with a standing ovation at the MHS Academic Banquet. Cameron also advanced to the state contest in Number Sense. He placed 21st in that event. Cameron s Spelling coach was Michael Wagner. His Number Sense coaches were Darlene Arp and Allyson Daniels. Congratulations, Cameron!
3 STATE TRACK MEET Blake Ladyman and Caylee Yeager represented MHS at the State Track Meet in Austin. Ladyman competed in the wheelchair division of the 100m and shot put while Yeager ran in both the 100m and 300m Hurdles. Ladymay placed 8th in the 100m with a time of and finished the shot put with a throw of Yeager placed 5th in the 300m Hurdles with a time of 45.9 seconds. She earned a spot on the medal stand by placing 2nd the in 100m Hurdles with a time of seconds. Congratulations to both of these athletes for their accomplishments.

8 Commencement 2015 Top: The Class of 2015 tossed their caps after receiving their diplomas at Bulldog Stadium on June 5. Eighty-three seniors participated in the graduation ceremony. 9 Elementary News Youth Basketball Camp Primary and Elementary students kicked off the summer camp season by attending the Bulldog Youth Basketball Camp. Gardening With Mrs. Gee Mrs. Gee s students participated in the harvest at the school garden located at McGregor Primary. They shared potatoes, zucchini, radishes, and onions with the staff and ate some themselves! Elementary Awards Day May 28 was Awards Day at McGregor Elementary. Students received awards for academic excellence, perfect attendance, and accelerated reading. Three lucky students even won bicycles!

11 Field Day 2015 Hawaiian Falls Visiting Champ Caylee Yeager paid a visit to Mrs. Houchin s first grade class following her appearance at the State Track Meet. The students donned gold medals in her honor!
12 JH Readers Friday, May 22, 2015, was a great day for reading!! Mrs. Dawn Ramos s reading classes from HG Isbill Jr. High School travelled to the Primary Campus to read to 88 kindergarten students for the first ever Reading Fun! event. The purpose of the EVENT was to help the junior high students improve their reading fluency, become more confident readers, and to serve the community with their newly improved skills.
13 Junior Rocketeers Mrs. Foster and the fourth graders build cardboard rockets for their AR party. The students enjoyed learning about the design and function of each rocket part and then launching their creations.
