14 Deceleration in Growth The past few years enrollment reflected a deceleration in growth. Why? Fewer younger students no growth in KN in 6 of the past 7 years Fewer younger families moving into new homes Lack of regeneration in built-out subdivisions 44% built-out or active, & 34% non-buildable (in parks, preserves, conservation, and water) These changes in trends do NOT mean that growth in Leander I.S.D. is stopping, but, like many other large, upper SES districts, it has slowed.
