6 CATTLE / EQUESTRIAN Main barn This ranch is a cattle/equestrian lovers dream. The main wood barn is a little less than 10,000 sq feet with 11 stalls. 9 of the stalls have indoor and outdoor paddocks. The stalls are equipped with cameras, so you can monitor your animals 24/7. The owners actually have an app where they can view the stalls from their smart phone. The main barn has an office, coffee room, conference room, restroom, horse wash rack, 2 tack rooms, medicine room and 3 free standing grain bins. There is even a washer and dryer with overhead cabinets. Located to the south is the Stallion barn with 6 covered stalls at 16 x 16. 8 CATTLE The cattle This is really quite a cattle ranch. The current owners have a large cattle operation of several hundred head that they run on the ranch year-round. The ranch is located in the Anderson-Cottonwood Irrigation District and they irrigate approximately 610 acres. They flood irrigate about every 11 days. They get their water from two A.C.I.D ditch pipes to irrigate the ranch. Another bonus of the ranch is that they have 2 large irrigation wells, 2500 GPM and 1500GPM, that can irrigate the entire ranch independently of the A.C.I.D. The owner has been approached by orchard buyers to sell the land for orchards. You have over 456 acres of class 1 and 2 soil and 226 acres of class 3 soil. You even have fishing in Cottonwood Creek for trout, bass and even salmon headed up the river to spawn. The main home has two very nice stocked ponds with bass, blue gill and catfish. If you want some serious fishing, the Sacramento River is one of the best fishing rivers in the United States is minutes away. The Sacramento River is well known for being one of the largest salmon spawning rivers in the world. You can fish for salmon, trout, chad, bass, catfish and sturgeon.the Ishi wilderness is minutes from the ranch and is not only known for the last Indian in California, but is home to trophy Black Tail Deer. The population was 3,316 at the 2010 census, up from 2,960 at the 2000 census. [2] Cottonwood was a stagecoach town where a settlement was established in The first Post Office was opened in Cottonwood is equidistant between Redding and Red Bluff, 15 miles (24 km) in both directions. It is 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Anderson. Cottonwood Creek is the boundary for Shasta County and Tehama County.
