1 Great news! University of Oklahoma (OU) will host a Sooner Open this year on Saturday, April 2, 2016! On behalf of Sooner Badminton Club, I officially announce that Sooner Badminton Tournament 2016 will be hosted at Huston Huffman Fitness Center, the University of Oklahoma on Saturday, April 2, As previous Sooner tournaments, this is going to be a one-day tournament and the last game will be played no later than 8 PM. VENUE The Huston Huffman Fitness Center at the S. J. Sarkeys Complex 1401 Asp Avenue, Norman, Oklahoma Please enter from the east side of the Huston Huffman Fitness Center, as indicated on the HHFC map. The HHFC map and driving direction are included as the last two pages of the attached registration form in PDF. They will also be displayed after online registration. Look for a red Sooner Badminton Club flag outside of the entry for easy identifying the entrance. REGISTRATION Deadline: March 28, 2016, 1:30 pm Because this is a one-day event, the registration will be closed whenever the total number of registered players reached 80. Therefore, please register as early as possible. There are three ways to register for this tournament: 1. Club/Group registration: As a badminton club or simply a group of badminton players, you can use the group registration form in Excel or PDF format attached in this to register. If you can mail the group registration form and total payment by March 23, 2016, a discount up to 15% will be applied: for group of 4 to 6 players: 5% for group of 7 to 9 players: 10% for group of 10 or more players: 15% The group registration form in the Excel format is created for your convenience to generate the total discounted payment for your group once the player information being entered.

2 2. Individual Online registration: You can also register online through the link on or simply click: Sooner Open 2016 Registration. Payments, check or cash, would be collected on April 5 before the matches if you register online. By any reason if you changed your partner in any doubles events, you can update your registration form at: Update Registration. 3. Individual Mail-in registration: The registration form in PDF format is attached. Please complete the form and mail it with the check to Sooner Badminton Club, 900 Asp Avenue, OMU 181, Box # 272, Norman, OK Entry Fee: First Event: $30, Additional events: $15 each A $15 late fee will be charged for any entry registered after March 30,, 2014 Meal/Souvenir: Lunch 12:30PM): o Free for the registered players o $5 for others Premium Quality OU T-Shirt:

3 o Each of first 65 registered players gets one free T-Shirt Events: (4 entries are required to hold an event. Each Player may enter a maximum of 3 events) Men s Singles/Doubles will be split into 4 groups to play round-robin matches. Then the top 8 players/teams will enter the Open Draw and the next 8 players/teams will enter the B bracket. Open level: Men s singles B/Novice level: Men s singles 80 + level (Doubles only. Combined age of 80 years or older before the date of 12/31/2016) Ultimate level (combining all levels):

4 Women s singles Women s doubles Senior Singles (Men with age >= 40 & Women with age >= 35) Please be aware that players can only participate in one event in either open or 80+ games. For example, If Player A registered in Open Men s Singles, then o he can: Play in 80+ with Player B o but he cannot: Play in 80+ Men s singles If Player X registered to play with Player Y in Open, then o He can: Play in 80+ Men s singles o But he cannot Play in 80+ with Player Y or other players The tournament director holds the right of deleting invalid entries.
