students gthered in the Witherspoon Mul tipurpose Room on Thursdy to meet nd welcome the new vice provost for diversity nd Africn-Americn ffirs Jose Picrt Picrt comes to NC Stte from the US Militry Acdemy (USMA) in West Point NY where he served on the fculty for 18 yers At USMA he served s cochir of the USMA Diversity Working Group nd helped estblish diversity office di versity subcommittee of the fculty council nd cm pus wide humn resources council He ws the director of psychology studies nd professor in the USMA s Deprtment of Behviorl Sciences nd Ledership Picrt ws one of more thn 150 pplicnts for the vice provost position Those tht were involved with the interview process were hppy to see him come to NCSU I hd the opportunity to meet [Picrt] during the interview process before he
