The Creative Movement and Recreational classes will be divided up between an 11:00am performance and a 4:00pm performance on Saturday, May 28 th. The competitive classes will be divided up between a 1:00pm performance and a 6:00pm performance on Sunday, May 29 th. KARMA PERFORMANCE GROUP SHOWCASE Our performance group KARMA will be hosting a showcase of their 2015/16 routines on Friday, May 27th at 6:00pm at Hants East Rural High. Admission ($8.00) will be taken at the door the night of the show. CLASS MAKE-UP WEEK (Monday, May 16 th Saturday, May 21st) Any cancelled class from the last 8 weeks of the 2 nd Session will be made-up from Monday, May 16 th to Saturday, May 21st. If your child had any cancellations during the 2 nd Session, please refer to the schedule on the back of this page. If your child did not have any cancellations they will not have a class during this week. REGISTRATION FOR COMPETITIVE STUDENTS (2015/16 DANCE SEASON) All competitive dancers who will be dancing in the competitive program during the 2016/17 dance season must register during the month of June starting June 7 th on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 2:00 8:00PM. When registering in June, the first monthly instalment will be due if you pay monthly. The registration fee will be due if you pay by session. REGISTRATION FOR RECREATIONAL & CREATIVE MOVEMENT STUDENTS (2016/17 DANCE SEASON) If your child is returning to class in September, we ask that you register anytime from August 16th September 1 st during our office hours (Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 2:00 8:00pm). Every student will have to fill out a new registration form. The 2016/17 form will be available to download from our website ( for your convenience. You will be able to fill out the form before coming to the office to register. SUMMER OFFICE HOURS (Suite 204, EH Horne Building, 248, Hwy. 2, Enfield) During the month of June our office will be open every Tuesday & Wednesday from 2:00 8:00PM for competitive registration. Our office will be closed during the month of July and the first two weeks of August. (We will be checking messages and s a few times a week during this time) Starting August 16th until September 1st our office will be open every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 2:00 8:00PM.

These classes will be held at our studio in Enfield. 3 presents We Go Together Recital Weekend 2016 Recital Information On Tuesday, May 24 th & Wednesday, May 25 th we will be practicing at Hants East Rural High. Each Recreational & Creative Movement class will have the opportunity to practice on the stage sometime during those days. Attached to this newsletter you will find: A list of what performance each class will dance in. A schedule for the practices at HERH during the week of the recital. Please arrive on time for the practices and on recital day, as we are on a tight schedule. We ask all dancers to arrive one hour before the recital starts and all volunteers to arrive one hour & 15 minutes before the recital starts. When you arrive at HERH for your child s practice please come to the auditorium. When you arrive at HERH on recital day please go directly to the cafeteria area not the auditorium. Please be advised we will be using the same Drop-off & Pick-up policy for the Creative Movement & Recreational recitals as we did last year. Class Volunteers, Dancers & Teachers ONLY will be allowed in the changing area. One parent or guardian ONLY will be asked to drop-off their child at the doors of the cafeteria. At that time the parent will sign our class drop-off list and your child will be taken to their assigned volunteers by our staff. When picking-up your child at the end of the recital, the same parent who dropped-off the child, is asked to come to the cafeteria doors and sign our pick-up list. At that time, our staff will bring your child to meet you. You may have to wait for a short time in-line to pick-up your children. Please allow time for this in your schedule. Our top priority is always the safety of your children. For the safety of all dancers, each dancer and volunteer must get their hand stamped in the cafeteria, so the people at the auditorium doors know who they are. All dancers will sit together with their class and volunteers, as we have reserved seating for all dancers. We understand everyone is extremely busy, however, we ask you to keep in mind that all dancers (the dancers who dance at the beginning of the recital and the dancers who dance at the end of the recital) deserve the feeling of a thunderous applause. Once a dancer is in our care during the recital, you will not be able to pick them up until after the recital is over. If you must leave early, you must make arrangements with us by sending an by May 25 th so we can add this information to the volunteer package assigned to your child s class. Class volunteers also give each dancer a certificate and a flower at the end of the recital. The volunteers assigned to each class will apply stage make-up, ensure they are backstage when it is their turn to dance, and care for them until parents pick them up after the recital. Please have your child s hair done before arriving & please arrive with your costume on. Please avoid colored clips or barrettes. We suggest each child bring a snack and drink with them, as it is a long day, especially for our younger dancers.

4 Please ensure your child has the proper dance footwear for recital day. RECITAL TICKETS Tickets for each recital are currently being sold for $8.00. Tickets will be held for each family until Monday, May 16 th. After that time we will let these tickets go to the people on our waiting list. Each family involved in the 11:00am performance on Saturday, May 28th can purchase 5 tickets Each family involved in the 4:00pm performance on Saturday, May 23 rd can purchase 6 tickets Each family involved in the 1:00pm performance on Sunday, May 24 th can purchase 8 tickets Each family involved in the 6:00pm performance on Sunday, May 24 th can purchase 8 tickets Tickets are non-refundable. If you lose your tickets before the recital or forget your tickets on the day of the recital, unfortunately, you will not be able to enter the auditorium until everyone has been seated. If one of our performances is sold out, our procedure is to let ticket holders into the auditorium up to the time the show starts, then if there are remaining seats available we will accommodate the people waiting in the foyer. Recital Videos & Pictures Editfarm will be professionally videotaping our recitals once again this year. You can order a recital video directly from Editfarm on recital day. Jaclyn Doyle Photography will be available after the recitals for people who would like photos of their children in their costumes. These pictures can be ordered at the recital directly from Jaclyn Doyle Photography. Most of these photos can be printed onsite. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
