19 Camping for the Houston Hoedown Stella Mare RV Resort-Host Campground Located just east of Galveston State Park on San Luis Pass Rd. Pricey, but brand new. Both pull through and back in sites. All the bells and whistles including a pool and tennis courts. All sites are on cement with patios. ($49-$55, approximately) bay view Be sure to mention the Hoedown for 15% discount. Dellanera RV Park San Luis Pass Rd. Bay side of the road. Closest to dance site Once a privately owned park, Dellanera is now run by the city Parks & Rec Dept. They do take reservations. Park is nestled in among the dunes, but fills up fast on weekends. Galveston Island State Park FM 3005 (San Luis Pass Rd.) Reservations: (Highly recommended) State camping passes accepted. Without a pass, one pays a daily use fee along with the camping fee. Of three RV campgrounds, state park is farthest out. But, they are all grouped fairly close together. -19-
