PRESIDENT S MESSAGE We can t believe it is January already! We are ready to work with all of the HSRDC Executive Board, District Directors and Appointed Officers to make 2014 a year to remember. Thanks to all of those that have donated their time. As we begin a new year, 2014 will continue many of the initiatives that began last year. These include the marketing programs; meetings with the Club Ambassadors; and the distribution of the New Officers Handbook to the incoming Presidents of the Clubs. In addition, we will begin work to update the square dance image while maintaining the traditions of friendship and fellowship that we all love. You will notice updates to our web page; a more visible presence on Facebook, Twitter and other Social Networks; and improvements to our Where n When. We also hope to bring an online registration process to our website for the Houston Hoedown utilizing Pay Pal for payments. Watch for updates on all of these measures. This month, we will begin publishing the Where n When totally electronically. You will be able to print your own copy from your computer if you desire. Otherwise, it can be viewed online at the HSRDC website, As always, the dancing is what we are all about. The HSRDC Elected and Appointed Officers, along with your District Directors have a busy year as we plan visitations to the Club Anniversaries, Graduations and other Special Dances. Please make sure that your dances are on the Special Dance Calendar so that we can plan our visitation calendar accordingly. Make sure to mark your calendar on Saturday, February 1st for the Presidents Ball. See the ad in this edition for more information. Come join us as we dance around Houston.
