3 FEI WORLD DRESSAGE CHALLENGE 2018, REGIONAL EQUESTRIAN LEAGUE (NEC & JNEC)& BANGALORE HORSE SHOW ADMINISTRATIVE INSTRUCTIONS 1. General. FEI World Dressage Challenge 2018, Regional Equestrian League will be organized by ASC Riding & Polo Academy from 5 th - 6 th Nov 2018 at ASC Centre & College Bangalore FEI Dressage. Tests will be held on the following categories of Dressage. Relevant rules and tests are attached :- (a) FEI Intermediate I -16 yrs age and above (b) FEI Prix St George -16 yrs age and above (c) FEI Challenge Senior II Class -16 yrs age and above (d) FEI Challenge Senior I Class -16 yrs age and above (e) FEI Challenge Youth Class -12 yrs to 16 yrs of age Rules. FEI World Dressage Challenge Regional Equestrian League (NEC). The following events will be conducted in accordance with the EFI Rules and the respective courses are attached :- (a) (b) (c) Novice Jumping (Normal). Grade III Jumping (Normal). Indl tent pegging Lance 4. Regional Equestrian League (JNEC). The respective course is attached :- (a) (b) (c) Children II Dressage & Jumping Children I Dressage & Jumping Junior Rider Dressage & Jumping 5. Eliminations Round. Eliminations round for FEI World Dressage Challenge will be held at 0800 hrs on 05 Nov 2018 if the entries for the event are more than 40 (overall). 6. Programme. Tentative Programme of FEI World Dressage Challenge 2018, Regional Equestrian are attached at Appendix A.

4 2 7. Entries. (a) All entries will be on a proper Entry Form as given in Appendix B. Entries not on the prescribed entry form or without entry fee will not be considered. The Organizing Committee is not responsible for any wrong entry. All entries will be made FEI Entry system on IT Platform. All competitor are requested to obtain the same from EFI before giving their entry. (b) Foreign Riders. EFI is requested to obtain MI Clarence for managers/coaches /judges /Riders who are taking part in the EFI World Challenge Dressage 2018 & REL. Foreign riders whose MI Clearance is not obtained will not allowed to enter in ASC Centre & College area, ie. Army area. (c) Entry Fee. (i) Individual Entry :Rs. 500/- (ii) Team Entry : Rs. 1,000/- (ii) Post Entry : Rs. 1,000/- &Rs. 2,000/- respectively. (d) Entries and Entry fee for FEI World Dressage Challenge 2018 will be submitted directly to EFI. (e) Closing Date for Entries. Entries will close by 01 Nov Entries received thereafter will be regarded as POST ENTRIES. (f) Payment. All payment must be done in cash or by RTGS or NEFT in favour of ASC Riding & Polo Academy (ARPA) to A/C No , IFSC Code No- SBIN EFI Horses Passport. (a) As per EFI rulings ALL horses participating in the FEI World Dressage Challenge 2018 & REL have to be in possession of EFI passport. All Horses which were registered before October having registration number ranging from H to H will need mandatorily scan a copy of the passport- Page No: 1, 6, 14 & 14A else entry will not be accepted. (b) Team captains are requested to ensure that all horses are registered before entries for the Event. The registration No has to be filled in the entry form as per EFI ruling. Entries will not be accepted without EFI registration number. 8. EFI Riders ID Number. (a) As per latest EFI ruling any riders of 16years age and above participating in the FEI World Dressage Challenge 2018 &REL have to be EFI ID No. The EFI ID No has to be filled in the Entry Form as per EFI ruling. Entries will not be accepted without EFI ID number. (b) The registration fee for obtaining EFI ID No for all discipline will be Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) per rider annually.

5 9. Withdrawal, Change, Transfer or Substitutions of Entry. 3 (a) Withdrawal. The Entry fee of a horse entered for any category will not be refunded if the horse does not participate in the class. (b) Transfer and Substitutions. A horse cannot be transferred from one class to another class without paying an additional entry fee for the class to which it is transferred. A horse once entered in any category cannot be substituted by another horse for any reason whatsoever. (c) Change of Riders. Riders cannot be changed unless the Jury accepts that there are sufficient reasons for change of riders. Once a class has started being judged, no change in rider will be accepted. 10. The Class has started once the draw of lots for the order of start has been held. 11. Show Number. All horses will display the EFI Registration No on the bridle during competition and Horse inspection and whenever taken out of the stable under the saddle. 12. Rosettes. No rosettes will be worn by a horse during judging. 13. Elimination/Disqualification. The judges are empowered to disqualify the competitors at any stage of the competition for rough handling, excessive brutality or any form of cruelty to animals. Rapping will be severely penalised. Refer to Article 438, 439 & 440 FEI Rules for Dressage Events 2018 and REL. 14. Whips/Spurs. As per EFI and relevant FEI rules per discipline. 15. Dress Code. When inspecting the course, dress must be neat and tidy. In any case, riding boots, white breeches, a white or lightly colored plain shirt, white tie and Jacket must be worn. Service personnel will be in uniform. It is compulsory for anyone jumping a horse to wear a properly fastened hard hat with three point retention harness including riders in uniform. 16. Appeal. Appeal can be lodged by competitors within two hours before the commencement of any class and within half an hour after announcement of the result. A fee of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) should be deposited with the Secretary, Army Polo & Riding Club along with the objection. Money will be refunded if the objection is upheld. 17. Medical Cover. The Club will provide medical cover for riders at the venue. The Club shall not accept any liability for medical treatment given to a rider on the venue or the consequences thereof. The Club will only provide first aid emergency treatment as well as evacuation to the hospital where necessary, though every possible available medical cover will be presented. Each riders participating in the FEI World Dressage Challenge 2018 & REL will please fill the Indemnity Bond attached at Appendix C and submit the same alongwith entry form.

6 4 18. Insurance. The Organizing Committee recommends units/clubs/associations to take insurance policies for competitors, personnel, grooms and horses for their transportation to Delhi and during the events. The Organising Committee will assume no responsibility for any accident or illness due to fall of any horse, competitors, groom/any other member of the team. 19. Responsibility. The Organising Committee accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury to any animal or any other property or the exhibitors themselves. Neither the Committee nor the Doctor will be held responsible for any first aid or other medical treatment provided. 20. Camping and Accommodation. All teams should have come fully equipped with their own tentage for stabling, and enough grain and fodder for the duration of show. The Organisers will try to arrange for bedding straw and fodder to be made available for sale at retail prices. All teams that require stables must send their requirements before the 30 th October 2018, after which no stable orders can be accepted. The cost of one temporary stable will be Rs.3500/- for the duration of the show. All teams must inform the organiser of their total strength (personnel and animals) by 20 th October 2018, so that camp sites of appropriate size can be allocated for all teams, both civilian and government. All teams must inform the organizers of their estimated time of arrival well in advance. Any teams requiring a vehicle to transport luggage from the Bangalore Railway Station to ASC Centre & College must inform the organizers by 30 Oct 18, to facilitate. Cost of civil truck will be charged from respective owner of animals as actuals. The cost of transportation from the railway station to ASC Centre & College will be arranged by the respective clubs. All bio-degradable waste including horse dung is to be put into the pits provided. All plastic and paper waste is to be put into the dustbin provided. Please minimize your use of plastic materials. No open fires are permitted on ARPA grounds. Cutting of trees, branches bushes is strictly prohibited.

7 5 21. Self Containment. All teams coming to participate in the FEI World Dressage Challenge 2018 & REL must be self-contained, ie, they should bring their own tentage, equipment for camping, cooks and transport, etc. 22. Ration/Fodder. Army contingents are advised to bring maximum quantity of grain/fodder to sustain their horses during their stay in Delhi or, they can ask for attachment with the local Supply Depot. Other contingents are advised to make their own arrangements for animal rations. 23. Coggin s and Glanders Tests.All rules and instructions issued from the EFI and Remount Veterinary Directorate, Army Headquarters on the subject will be strictly adhered to by all concerned. All horses must have a valid negative EIA and Glander status (CFT) certificate on arrival to ASC Centre & College Bangaloreas per directions. Coggins and glanders negative certificate with a validity of a minimum of 15 days on arrival and exit of horses from the camp is mandatory. 24. Veterinary Commission. The Veterinary Commission detailed by the Equestrian Federation of India will have full right to examine all the horses participating. 25. Veterinary Assistance. 11 Appendix C DECLARATION (INDEMINITY BOND) 1. I, residentof desirous to participate FEI World Challenge Dressage 2018 at the ASC Centre & College, Bangalore hereby undertake and agree :- (a) That horse riding and all equestrian sports are inherently unpredictable and potentially dangerous. (b) That only some basic provisions for medical treatment are made at the event venue and I am responsible for safety equipment. (c) risky. That the practice/competition arena has various unsupervised areas that may be generally (d) That in the event of any loss or injury to property or person including injury resulting in death I may suffer while participating and for which first aid/emergency treatment has been given to me by a doctor on duty, I or my parents or executor or administrators or other legal representatives shall not hold the organizing committee or the Indian Army or the doctor on duty or any member or officer or employee or other representative of the said organization liable or in any manner responsible for the same or for any consequence thereof. 2. If any rights exist by operation of law, I hereby waive them and undertake not to initiate any action against the said organization/individuals. 3.
