1 All cnduct fr the Nvat Suth Little League (NSLL) will be prescribed by rules and plicies cntained in the Official Little League Rule Bk and Operating Manual, except fr the mdificatins prvided by these Lcal Rules. Changes, additins and/r deletins t the Lcal Rules may nly be made by a majrity vte f the NSLL Bard f Directrs. ADMINISTRATIVE RULES AR-1 Majrs Tryuts, Draft Structure, Practices, Pitching Helmets, and Cmmunicatins with Umpires 1. Redraft - Starting with the 2014 seasn, all NSLL Majrs teams will be redrafted each seasn. 2. Draft Order - The rder in which each f the teams select players will be randmly assigned. Once the rder is established via randm draw, the draft shall prceed in a serpentine rder, thereby allwing fr reverse rder selectin in even runds (i.e., the team with the first pick f the draft shall als have the last pick f the draft). 3. Draftee Classes The Majrs draft will be cmprised f three distinct classes f players: a. Returning Players All returning Majrs players wh were rstered n a Majrs level team during the prir seasn and have registered t play fr the current seasn prir t r at the secnd day f tryuts fr the current seasn are guaranteed a rster psitin n a Majrs level team fr the current seasn. Hwever, unless the parent f a returning Majrs player cntacts the Player Agent r President with a reasnable excuse (as determined by the Player Agent r President), all returning Majrs players must participate in at least ne day f tryuts t allw player evaluatins and t help assure fairness and balance f the teams selected during the draft. Any returning Majrs player wh des nt tryut will autmatically be included in the pl f Hat Picks. b. Nn-Returning Twelve Year Old Players Any nn-returning Majrs player wh is league age 12 and has registered t play fr the current seasn prir t r at the secnd day f tryuts fr the current seasn are guaranteed a rster psitin n a Majrs level team fr the current seasn. Hwever, unless the parent f a nn-returning Twelve Year Old player cntacts the Player Agent r President with a reasnable excuse (as determined by the Player Agent r President), all nn-returning Twelve Year Old players must participate in at least ne day f tryuts t allw player evaluatins and t help assure fairness and balance f the teams selected during the draft. Any Nn-returning Twelve Year Old player wh des nt tryut will autmatically be included in the pl f Hat Picks. c. Nn-Returning Ten and Eleven Year Old Players - All nn-returning Majrs players ages 10 t 11 will try ut fr the Majr League level f NSLL prvided they have registered t play fr the current seasn prir t r at the secnd day f tryuts fr the current seasn and have attended AT LEAST ONE try ut sessin Page 1

2 in rder t be cnsidered by the managers fr inclusin in the Majrs General Draft. Any nn-returning player age wh des nt attend a tryut is ineligible t play in the majr league at any time during the seasn and is thus nt eligible fr the Majrs General draft nr available fr call up frm the minrs during the seasn. Any nn-returning Majrs players age 10 t 11 may pt ut f the Majrs prvided they have cmpleted a minr pt dwn waiver frm prir t the Majrs draft. 4. Player Selectin During the draft, Managers may pt t select a player frm any f the three Draftee Classes defined abve AR-1.3 (including Hat Picks, if desired, as defined in AR-1.5 belw). Hwever, nce the number f remaining draft picks available in the draft equates t the number f Mandatry Draftees remaining, nly Mandatry Draftees may be selected. If the number f Mandatry Draftees exceeds the number f remaining draft psitins available, the draft shall be unwund until the number f remaining picks equates t the number f Mandatry Draftees remaining t be selected. 5. Hat Pick Methd Any nn-returning Majrs player wh is league age 12 (as defined in AR-1.3-b abve) and any Returning Majrs Player wh des nt attend tryuts and has registered t play fr the current seasn prir t r at the secnd day f tryuts will be assigned t a Majrs rster via the hat pick methd wherein the player s name is placed in a hat and the managers have the ptin f selecting such hat picks at any time during the Majrs Mandatry Draft. (NOTE: injured players wh attended tryuts but culd nt physically tryut are part f the grup eligible t be drafted and are nt part f the Hat Pick grup.) 6. Majr Rsters Cnstraints - Each NSLL Majrs team will be limited t the fllwing rster cnstraints: a. N Mre than 12 players may be assigned t a single Majrs Rster b. N mre than eight 12 Year Old Players c. N players yunger than league age 10 Years Old 7. Trades a. Player Trades - Any trades that are allwed shall take place BEFORE any f the invlved players r parents are ntified f the team t which they ve been initially drafted. It is fr this reasn that it is required that n player trades f players are t take place utside f the draft rm. Once the managers invlved depart frm the draft rm, their respective rsters shuld be lcked fr the remainders f the seasn (assuming n changes needed due t injuries, etc.). b. Draft Pick Trades Prir t r during the draft, Managers may trade individual draft picks, but may nt trade a draft pick fr a player, and prvided such trades invlve nly a ne t ne exchange, thereby ensuring that each team still retains a full cmplement f 12 picks. All such trades will be subject t apprval by the Majrs cmmissiner and Player Agent. Page 2

3 8. Optin dwn t Minrs - Any player, age wh pts ut f the majr league draft is ineligible t play in the majr league at any time during the seasn. A nn-returning twelve year ld pting t waive dwn t the Minrs is subject t bard review and apprval. 9. Manager Optins A manager with a child eligible fr Majrs may exercise a draft ptin t select that child fr the manager s team. A manager may als select up t 1 Cach Optin parent (pending Backgrund Check apprval,) and their Majrs-eligible child player(s) t select thse children fr the manager s team. As set frth in the Little League Operating Manual (Red Bk), a Manager Optin must be exercised n later than the 3 rd draft rund fr a 12 year ld, n later than the 4 th rund fr a 11 year ld, and n later than the 5 th rund fr a 10 year ld. Which rund a Manager (r Cach) ptin is exercised will be determined by the League President, with the ptential help f an evaluatin cmmittee f ne r mre persns selected by the President with the cncurrence f the Bard. The evaluatin cmmittee will evaluate and rank all players eligible fr Majrs (at least thrugh the first 4 runds) fr the purpse f sltting all Manager and Cach Optins. The ranking will be shared with all Majrs Managers fr the sle purpse f the draft and will have n bearing n ther decisins (such as All- Stars). The selectin f the Manager and Cach Optin will be the clsest pick, which crrespnds with the child s ranking. Fr example, if there are 7 Majrs teams, and a player wh is a Manager and Cach Optin ranks 16, then the Manager and Cach Optin likely will be that Manager s third rund selectin. The evaluatin cmmittee may als adjust the verall sltting in light f the randmly assigned draft rder fr purpses f assuring as much fairness and parity as pssible. 10. Late Registrants Any Returning Player r Nn-Returning Twelve Year Old Player wh registers later than the secnd day f tryuts will be placed n the waiting list fr Majrs. Any Nn-Returning Ten r Eleven Year Old Player wh registers later than the secnd day f tryuts will be placed n the waiting list fr either AAA r AA, as applicable. 11. Ntificatin The Manager must delay cmmunicating with newly drafted players until the day AFTER the cnclusin f the AAA MINOR League draft s as t allw fr such ntificatins fr BOTH the Majrs and AAA Minrs t take place simultaneusly. 12. Practice Slts During r as sn as pssible after the sessin f the Majrs Draft, the Majrs Cmmissiner and/r Player Agent shall administer a prcess by which practice slts fr bth the preseasn and regular seasn are selected / assigned fr each Majrs team. a. Cnfirm Days/Fields Available - Prir t the day f the Majrs Draft, r as sn as pssible thereafter, the League Scheduler will cnfirm the practice days and sites t be made available t the Majrs teams bth befre and during the seasn and then frward this infrmatin t the Majrs Cmmissiner. Pll the Managers fr Methd T Be Used - At the pening f the Majrs draft, the Majrs Cmmissiner will pll the Majrs managers t determine their preferred methd fr assigning practice slts fr each Majrs team during bth the preseasn and the regular seasn. Tw separate vtes will be taken, ne fr the preseasn and ne fr the regular seasn. The vte will simply ask the Managers t select frm ne f the tw methds belw: i. Reverse Order f Draft / Permanent Slt in this methd, each Manager selects specific weekly slts (i.e., fixed days, times and lcatins) in turn until all slts are taken. There must be an equal number f practice slts fr each team. ii. Assigned / Flating Slts in this methd, the Majrs Cmmissiner will prepare a schedule that peridically rtates each team t different days f the week, times and/r fields t balance timing and field assignments fr each Majrs team. 13. Cmmunicatins with Umpires Befre, during, and after the game, nly the Managers f each team may cmmunicate with the umpires regarding the cnduct f the game r any umpire calls made during the game. Caches may nt questin r make cmments abut umpire calls. AR-2 Returning Player Sanctins A player drpping frm a Majr League team after the draft fr any reasn is ineligible fr any Majr League team fr the remainder f the seasn. Players may nt be drpped frm a Majr League team fr any reasn withut Bard apprval. A player drpping frm the Majr League t the Minr League may be subject t minimum play and psitin (e.g. pitching) restrictins at the Bard's discretin. AR-3 Team Parents Meeting Each Majr League manager will hld a meeting f the team's parents prir t the team's first practice. AR-4 All Star Team Frmatin Prcess 1. Player Availability Prir t June 1 st f each seasn, the Player Agent shall distribute and cllect Player Availability frms t and frm every eligible Majr League and Minr League player t assess each player s availability fr the upcming All-Star seasn. Any player that cannt cmmit t attending mre than 80% f anticipated practices and games will nt be allwed t play fr their respective All-Star team. Planned vacatins are nt t be cnsidered as a justifiable reasn fr missing mre than 20% f practices r games. 2. The managers f the three All-Star teams will be vetted by an All-Star Manager Selectin Cmmittee selected by the President (and which may include the President) that is apprved by the Bard. Members f the All-Star Manager Selectin Cmmittee may nt apply t be an All-Star Manager and may nt have a child in the age grup fr which the Selectin Cmmittee Member is vetting. Fr example, a Page 4

5 member f the Selectin Cmmittee fr 12 year lds may nt have a 12 year ld in the League. After the vetting prcess, the Bard must vte t apprve the All-Star Managers. a. All-Star Manager Applicants may be Majrs r AAA managers r caches. They must specifically apply t be cnsidered. The All-Star Manager Applicatin cnsists f the NSLL Managers Applicatin and Vlunteer Frm (which may already be n file fr the current seasn), and additinal questins the All-Star Manager Selectin Cmmittee may ask the applicants in writing r in persn during interviews. The All-Star Manager Selectin Cmmittee may ask fr and check applicant references. The child f an All-Star Manager is nt guaranteed a spt n the All-Star team and shuld nly be selected fr the All- Star team based n merit, the same as any ther eligible player. b. Timing. The applicatin prcess and vetting by the All-Star Manager Selectin Cmmittee must be cmpleted in time fr the Bard t apprve the three All-Star Managers during an April bard meeting. c. Caches. Once apprved, each All-Star Manager may select their tw caches frm amng the Majrs and AAA managers and caches, with cach selectins t be apprved by the Bard during a May bard meeting. The child f an All- Star Cach is nt guaranteed a spt n the All-Star team and shuld nly be selected fr the All-Star team based n merit, the same as any ther eligible player. 3. Three Teams Nvat Suth Little League will field three All-Star teams. Namely, teams at the 12 Year Old, 11 Year Old and 10 Year Old level will be frmed. Each year, the Bard will determine whether the age divisins are r are nt league age pure fr each respective team. 4. Players Vted In The Majrs Managers vting prcess will result in the selectin f the first 10 players f each f the three All-Star Teams. 5. Rster Sizes - Each All-Star team will have either 12, 13, r 14 players n its rster, decided at the discretin f the appinted All-Star Manager. 6. Selectin f remaining Players - The remaining spts will be selected by the All- Star Manager. The All-Star Manager may cnsult with ther Managers and/r rely n player evaluatins frm the Scrimmage r Clinic nted belw. These remaining selectins will be based n psitin r skill need fr the team t be cmplete and well-runded. Page 5

6 AR-5 All Star Selectin Prcess The 12 year ld All-Star Team 1. At a meeting cnvened by the Majrs Cmmissiner and the President, each manager will vte fr 10 players n the list f eligible players cmpiled by the Player Agent under AR-4.1. a. A manager may nt vte fr a player n his/her team. All players receiving unanimus vtes (nt including his/her wn manager) will be placed n the All-Star Team. b. If there are less than 10 unanimus selectins: i. Vting will cntinue fr the number f remaining available slts n the team until 10 spts are filled r fr up t 4 runds whichever cmes first, with all unanimus selectins making the team. ii. If 10 spts are nt filled with unanimus selectins, players with the highest vte cunts during the furth rund f vting will then be selected t the team until 10 spts are filled. Ties will be brken with a head-t-head vte. iii. During discussins/evaluatins f players, Managers are nt permitted t discuss, evaluate, r campaign fr their wn sns/daughters. AR-6 All Star Selectin Prcess The 11 Year Old All-Star Team 1. At a meeting cnvened by the Majrs Cmmissiner and the President, each manager will vte fr 10 players n the list f eligible players cmpiled by the Player Agent under AR-4.1. a. 7 AR-7 All Star Selectin Prcess The 10 Year Old All-Star Team 1. If there are 12 (twelve) r mre 10 year-lds in the Majr League: At a meeting cnvened by the Majrs Cmmissiner and the President, each manager will vte fr 10 players n the list f eligible players cmpiled by the Player Agent under AR-4.1. a. A manager may nt vte fr a player n his/her team. All players receiving unanimus vtes (nt including his/her wn manager) will be placed n the All-Star Team. b. If there are less than 10 unanimus selectins: i. Vting will cntinue fr the number f remaining available slts n the team until 10 spts are filled r fr up t 4 runds whichever cmes first, with all unanimus selectins making the team. ii. If 10 spts are nt filled with unanimus selectins, players with the highest vte cunts during the furth rund f vting will then be selected t the team until 10 spts are filled. Selectin f Players Frm the Majr and Minr League (if needed) The 10 Year Old All-Star Manager will select the players fr the 10 Year Old All-Star Team frm a list f 9 and 10 Year ld players nminated by the Majr and Minr League Managers. All such selectins will be subject t the apprval f the Majr and Minr League Cmmissiner(s). The parent f any player being discussed must leave the rm when their sns/daughters are being evaluated. AR-8 Pst Seasn Play 1. NSLL Playffs a. All Majr League teams will participate in the Nvat Suth Little League Playffs. b. The seeding fr the duble eliminatin playffs is based n the fllwing criteria in the fllwing rder: i. Seeding is based first n ttal verall regular seasn recrds (including all intra-league and interleague games); ii. In the event f ties, seeding is based n recrds against each ther; iii. If still tied, seeding is based n recrd f NSLL intra-league games nly; iv. If still tied, then seeding is based n lwest ttal number f runs allwed (all intra-league and interleague games); v. If still tied, seeding will be decided by a cin flip by the League Cmmissiner. Page 7

City Champinship - The 1st place team f the Majr League regular seasn will meet a team selected by Nvat Nrth in a champinship series fr the City Champinship cmprised f (1) t (3) games pending agreement frm Nvat Nrth Little League. 3. Turnament f Champins - The Nvat Suth Majr League Playff Champin will advance t the Marin Cunty TOC. AR-9 Hamann Sprtsmanship Award Trphy The Hamann Sprtsmanship Trphy is awarded t the Majr League player, displaying the mst sprtsmanship and leadership thrughut the seasn. The nminatin and vting prcess shall be cnducted as fllws: 1. The entire Hamann Award vting prcess will be verseen the Majrs Cmmissiner and anther Bard member designated by the President. 2. Each team will be asked t submit a nminatin. The nminatin shuld be decided upn by secret ballt including all f the players, the 2 caches and the manager. The manager will be respnsible fr verseeing the vte. 3. The award will be determined by a secret ballt cast by each eligible Majr League player. N player may vte fr a player n his/her team. 4. All nminees will be asked t attend the awards ceremny at the first game f the Majrs champinship where the verall winner will be annunced. AR-10 League Supplied Unifrms NSLL prvides team jerseys and team caps fr all majr league teams. Each player n each team is required t wear the league-prvided jerseys and caps during all regular seasn and turnament games. AR-11 Player Injuries 1. When a player misses mre than 7 cntinuus days f participatin fr an illness r injury, a physician r ther accredited medical prviders must give written permissin fr a return t full baseball activity (Little League Regulatin III-d-2-Nte 2). 2. If a dctr s nte cannt be prvided upn the player missing mre than 7 cntinuus days f participatin fr an illness r injury, the player shall be drpped frm the rster and anther player shall be btained thrugh the player agent (fllwing rules defined in the Little League Official Regulatins and Playing Rules). If a majr league team lses a player due t illness r injury per AR-11.2 abve PRIOR TO the midpint f the seasn, unless the player prvides a nte frm the player s dctr indicating that the player will be authrized t return befre 50% f the remaining regular seasn is cmpleted, anther player shall be btained thrugh the player agent (fllwing rules defined in the Little League Official Regulatins and Playing Rules). 4. If a majr league team lses a player due t illness r injury per AR-11.2 abve AFTER the midpint f the seasn, unless the player prvides a nte frm the player s dctr indicating that the player will be authrized t return befre the end f the regular seasn is cmpleted, anther player shall be btained thrugh the player agent (fllwing rules defined in the Little League Official Regulatins and Playing Rules). 5. If a majr league team lses a player during the last tw weeks f the regular seasn, that player will nt be replaced (Little League Regulatin III-d-2-Nte 1). 6. A league apprved accident frm shall be filed by the manager with the safety fficer within hurs f any incident that invlves a player injury during either a practice r a game. 7. When a player is being added r remved all managers in the affected level will be ntified immediately. The prcess fr replacing a player and any sensitive infrmatin des nt need t be shared but nce a player has been fficially remved and/r added, that infrmatin will be presented t the cmmissiner wh will then relay the infrmatin t the managers. AR-12 Rescheduled Games (Make Up and Cntinued) When needs arise, such as rain uts, field clsures, darkness r upheld prtests, t reschedule a game t a later date, the fllwing guidance will be applied: 1. Duble Headers will be f very last resrt t be cnsidered by the Bard f Directrs nly if the end f the regular seasn is near and if n ther ptin remains. 2. Each rescheduled game shall be played n the very next available mandatry make up date available. 3. In rder t allw fr practice slt assignments, the Majrs Mandatry Make-Up Days shall be defined prir t the Majrs Draft each seasn by the League Scheduler. 4. If multiple games are queued fr rescheduling, each game will be sequentially numbered and played in that rder. 5. Fr field f play safety purpses, Minr League Rescheduled games take precedence ver Majrs League practices at NSLL s Majrs Fields. If it becmes apparent t Page 9

10 the Bard f Directrs that the there are n lnger enugh remaining dates t ensure all Majrs Rescheduled games can be played, Minr League Rescheduled games will be mved back t NSLL Minrs fields. The riginal Majrs practice dates then shall be replaced by rescheduled Majr League games. AR-13 Cntact with Players Befre and After Tryuts Nvat Suth Little League recgnizes that Nvat is a small twn, and team Managers and Caches frequently knw many f the players wh will participate in tryuts. While the league understands that Managers and Caches may have ccasins t see and speak t players befre and after tryuts, Managers and Caches are frbidden frm cntacting a player directly and speaking t him r her abut their effrt at tryuts r pssible selectin t their team. If a player asks them abut tryuts, wndering what t expect, f curse the Manager can and shuld answer their questins abut prcedure at the tryuts. But again, the Manager cannt cntact them directly and make any suggestins abut hw the players shuld perfrm at tryuts. If Nvat Suth Little League discvers that a Manager r Cach cntacted a player directly in this manner, it will be cnsidered tampering and referred t the Bard f Directrs. This will be cnsidered grunds fr dismissal. AR-14 Player Pl Any Manager nt fllwing the Player Pl prcedures r acting cntrary t its purpse, shall be subject t discipline by the Executive Cmmittee (serving as the Cnduct Cmmittee) f the Bard. The Bard f Directrs has adpted Little League Baseball Official Regulatin V (c) Alternate methd f peratin (Player Pl) as written with the fllwing exceptins and/r amplificatins: 1. The Player Agent will create, publicize, and run the pl. 2. The list will nt be made public t any persns invlved in the Majr League r t children in the Majr League. Fr transparency the Player Agent will nly share the list with the League President and Majr League Cmmissiner s lng as they d nt have a child r children in that level. If bth have player invlvement, then a third an unbiased third party will be selected frm the Bard f Directrs. 3. The players n the pl list will be numbered sequentially by rder f registratin fr the pl. 4. League Managers/Caches are expressly frbidden frm direct liaisn with ptential players and/r player s parents in slicitatin f specific players as replacements fr specific games and/r teams. 5. Managers with gd reasn t believe that their team may nt be able t field nine eligible players fr any given scheduled game shall cntact the Player Agent as sn as pssible and state the reasn t the Player Agent. Managers may nt ask wh is in the Pl r wh may be the next drawn player in the Pl. 6. Upn finding the Manager has a gd reasn, the Player Agent will randmly draw the name f a player in the Pl. Once a player has been drawn frm the Pl, Page 10

11 his/her name may nt be drawn again until the names f all ther players in the Pl have been drawn. 7. The Player Agent will handle all cntacts with players in the Pl, nt the Managers. 8. Minimum play rule f assigned Pl Players is amended t be the entire game regardless f hw many players n the regular rster shw up unexpectedly. The player is there assisting the shrt team and shall be rewarded by playing every pitch unless injured; failing t abide by this regulatin may cause the Umpire t declare a frfeiture f the game under Playing Rule 415 (5). 9. Assigned Pl Players may nt pitch nr catch fr the shrt team. Pl Players must bat at the end f the lineup behind any players n the regular rster. RULES OF PLAY PR-1 Pre-Game and Pst-Game Respnsibilities 1. The hme team will be respnsible fr preparing the field befre the game. Field preparatin guidelines are as fllws: pen the snack shack remve the plugs and insert the bases rake and tamp the mund rake arund the bases and the aprn f the field drag the rest f the infield rake the hme plate area rake the base paths water dwn the infield dirt water dwn and tamp the batter s bxes chalk the baselines and batter s bxes raise the flag(s) set up Screbard and Speaker (where applicable) If the hme team cmpletes the field preparatin 30 minutes prir t the fficial game time, the visiting team will take in field practice fr 15 minutes, fllwed by the hme team fr the remaining 15 minutes. 2. If the field is nt ready (by the hme team) 30 minutes befre game time, the visiting team will help the hme team finish, after which the visiting team will be allwed t take their infield warm-ups 15 minutes befre the start f the game. The hme team will frfeit their warm-up time in these cases. 3. The visiting team will be respnsible fr repairing the field after the game. Field repair guidelines are as fllws: Page 11

Game time is defined as the latter f the scheduled time r a maximum f 45 minutes after the end f the previus game, but nt prir t the scheduled time r a maximum f 45 minutes after the end f the previus game. 5. The hme team will prvide a screbard peratr and annuncer, and the visiting team will prvide an Official Screkeeper wh will keep the fficial paper scre bk which shall be picked up and returned t the annuncer s bth. Snack shack staffing will be scheduled separately by the Nvat Suth Little League Snack Shack Crdinatr wrking in cnjunctin with the Team Parents. Parents may be required t staff the Snack Shack fr games in which their child is nt playing. 6. Bth teams will prvide a vlunteer t cunt and recrd the number f pitches thrwn by each teams pitchers. Pitch cunters will verify and agree upn the number f pitches thrwn by each pitcher after each half inning. The visiting team pitch cunter will als act as a game directr if needed. The, if needed, prvisin is utilized when bth umpires are legal minrs. Please nte, in any inter-league game, the hme team pitch cunter will act as game directr. 7. Each team is respnsible fr cleaning up their side f the field, dugut and spectatr area, after the game. 8. The visiting team will lck up the restrm, snack shack and equipment lcker, take dwn and put away the flag(s), empty trash cans and remve any trash bags as needed and escrt the snack shack parent vlunteers t his/her car at the cmpletin f the game. 13 PR-2 Team Discipline 1. Managers must ntify the League Cmmissiner and Player Agent befre suspending a player, unless circumstances require an immediate suspensin. Practice & Pregame Batting Practice N "hard ball" batting practice f any kind is allwed befre games at any field used by Nvat Suth Little League. Pitch Cunt Reprting Nvat Suth Little League will fllw the pitch cunt rules as they are written in the Little League Official Regulatins and Playing Rules (green bk). Each Manager shall reprt the fllwing infrmatin via t the ther Majr League Managers and the Majr League Cmmissiner n the day each game is cmpleted: 1. Names f all f their players wh pitched in that game; 2. Number f pitches thrwn by each ne; 3. The next date that each pitcher is eligible t pitch Minimum Play Rule and Substitutins fr the Majr League 1. Nvat Suth Little League will adhere t all Minimum Play Regulatins and Substitutin Rules specified in the Little League Official Regulatins and Playing Rules (als knwn as the Green Bk), with a full-seasn selectin f the Cntinuus Batting ptin. 2. The batting rder will include all players n the team rster present fr the game batting in rder. Each player is required t bat in his/her respective spt in the batting rder. Hwever, a player may be entered and/r re-entered defensively in the game anytime. 3. If a player is injured, becmes ill, r must leave the game site after the start f the game, the team will skip ver him/her when his/her time at bat cmes up withut penalty. If the injured, ill, r absent player returns he/she is merely inserted int their riginal spt in the batting rder and the game cntinues. Als, if a player arrives late t a game site, if the manager chses t enter him/her in the lineup, he/she wuld be added t the end f the current lineup. Page 13

14 4. Each player is required t play a minimum f 6 defensive uts during the curse f the game. These d nt have t be cnsecutive. 5. Substitute runners (curtesy runners) are nt permitted as all players are cnsidered starters by Green Bk rule. 6. Any player nt cmpleting minimum play must start the next game n the schedule, play any previus minimum play requirements nt fulfilled in the previus game and then cmplete all minimum play requirements fr the current game befre being replaced. 7. Under n circumstances shall the vilatin f minimum play regulatins result in the frfeiture f a game (Regulatin IV-I Nte 1). 8. Fr any vilatin f Minimum Play Regulatins, the manager shall be penalized as fllws: Fr the First Offense receive a written warning, unless ffense was intentinal, in which case the manager will be suspended fr the next scheduled game. Fr the Secnd Offense receive a suspensin fr the next scheduled game, unless ffense was intentinal, in which case the manager will be suspended fr the remainder f the seasn. Fr the Third Offense receive a suspensin fr the remainder f the seasn, unless ffense was intentinal, in which case the manager will be subject t a permanent ban frm the League. PR-8 10-Run Rule Nvat Suth Little League Majr League games are played under the 10-run rule as defined in Rule 4.10-e f the Little League Official Regulatins and Playing Rules (green bk). The game will be cnsidered final when the umpire calls the game after 3 and ½ r 4 innings have been played. Managers are encuraged t play the remaining 2 and ½ r 2 innings as scrimmage innings, r until the 2-hur time limit is reached. The spirit f this idea is t give minimum play players additinal playing time. Playing time during the scrimmage prtin f a game des NOT cunt tward fulfilling minimum play requirements (i.e. six cnsecutive uts and ne at bat). 3. The scrimmage game bth regulatin innings and scrimmage innings cmbined - cannt exceed 2 hurs. 4. Umpires will remain at the game until the scrimmage innings are cmpleted (r the 2 hur time limit is reached). 5. These are scrimmage innings, and Managers and Caches are expected t treat them as such and refrain frm questining umpires calls. PR-9 Fence Climbing Rule Players are nt t climb n, r ver, any fencing at anytime. If a ball ges ver the fence they must g thrugh a gate r pening t get retrieve the ball t prtect the fencing and help prevent a player injury. Page 15
