6 Kildare M eadow Court Stud is set in the Thoroughbred County and is well located, being just over 2 miles from the M7 (Jct 12 or 13) and 10 miles from the county town of Naas with its celebrated boutiques, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets. 9 History T he Stud was founded by the great Paddy Darkie Prendergast where he bred many great racehorses, including the legendary Ardross. The present owner continues to run the farm at Abbeville and Meadow Court Studs ably assisted by a loyal team of employees. The Stud continues to be a leading consignor at all major European Sales and has developed a nice band of broodmares over the years. In recent times its main focus has been on its own breeding programme, while continuing with livery and sales consigning for a small number of select clients. The land at Meadow Court is ideal for the production of strong, good boned, healthy horses.
